No, no, actually, he is rather simple (or at least I found him to be when I first encountered him.) Obbviously when he decides to attack in his fish-shaped pattern he is almost impossible to hit, but after that, all of his other attacks pretty much require him to stop moving, so there is your opening. A Lifesword couldn't hurt.

You can never actually defeat the final boss. You never can. You save before them, then you fight, beat the game, then you go back to your last save point.

Has anyone ever found that a little annoying? I had to play the game cube game's boss three times because I forgot about that.

So once you beat the game, you can't free-roam around?

I'm not sure I understand. After you beat the final boss, a lot of areas are openend up to your for further adventuuring pleasure, but beyond that, there really isn't anything else.

Good enough, what i meant was after the last boss you are free to roam the net and do whatever, that game doesnt just end for good. Thanks for answer.

A more general question, which BN5 does everyone prefer and why? (I know they're 90% the same, but a few chips/souls are different).

I'd really like it if you didn't discuss that here...this thread is really for game questions. ^^; Not actual discussion. I think a thread like that was created a while ago too, try looking around?

The first battle chip game will not work with 5. It will work with 4 and 4.5, there Progress Chip Gate will work with 5 though.

Ah. What about DS, any chance gate would work w/ BN4/4.5 on it or is it incompatable?

No Gameboy Advance hookups like the Gate can work on the DS.

Okay, next one: My buster attack is at level 10 for each normal shot, but when I use buster +1, it stays at 10. Is 10 as high as it can go?

Ten? @.@

Seriously, for the buster, the highest level it will go to is five. And to my knowledge, five is the highest level, since I have put a ChargeMax in the NC, a Charge+1, and the buster is still charge level 5.

It's amazing the wonders E-mods and the NaviCust combined will do ^^. Well, since 5 is the max that's probably the reason. Thanks.

E-mods? Also, is there a way to expand the custom field or compress the programs like in bn3?

E-mods are upgrades for Rockman obtainable by E-Reader or Gameshark. As for The Navi cust questions, yes to both. You can expand it by finding ExpMemory in BMDs, and to compress blocks you need a compression code like in EXE3. However, I don't know any so you should go to Gamefaqs. They'll most likely have the codes.

Codes as in game or GS codes? I don't cheat and therefore don't even have nor need GS.

The Compression Codes aer all ingame codes. And unless you have a Japanese E-Reader and a few Japanese Rockman.EXE E-Reader cards (The [spoil:8e3b296d2a]FCR[/spoil:8e3b296d2a] cards come with the DVD), you can't get the E-Mods legitimately.

Alrighty, small terminology question, what are FRC and other 3-capital letter abbreviations everyone uses here? (Played all BNs, but not too hot on abbs yet)
