The hair style, facial expression, and clothing are similar, but the colors are all wrong. It's not really something to be jumping for joy about.

It's not unknown for the animators to put cameos in the episodes. We've seen countless of them in the past - so why not Shun? They don't have to look -exactly- like them...just recognizable. The movie had another cameo from a game-only character - Meijin's true-life apprentice was Gridman's operator in the beginning of the film.

Yes, feared worldwide for his underground mafia role in the Season Two Lost Episode, "Reavealed!? Gospel's Secret Leader", Shun has been secretly following Netto-tachi for the last 109 episodes, appearing only in crowd scenes or hidden among the foliage. We were fortunate to spot him this time!

well i don't know if it is an animation error but when meiru CF'es in ep 51 she's got an advanced PET but in the movies she holds an progress PET and where did meiru get her syncro (don't know how to spell XD) chip....i dind't see rush anywhere.....it could be she got a chip in some other episode :V , but then its my foult i dind't knew...

When she evolves in 51, you don't see Rush, but she says "Rush! I'm counting on you!" So she does need him still. :)
