BugChain is related, but not what you are looking for. BugChain takes all of the bugs that are in your NC, and fires them over to your opponent, in effect "sharing the pain." An excellent chip in combat situations against other humans, and practically the basis of Pyo's tourney-winning EXE4 folder. Oh how marvelous that was.

Bugchain+BugFix+Laserman.

Boy is that cruel.

ResetBomb for EXE5 is also kind of nice though it causes flinching.

So I'm guessing your net battle skills would easily beat anyone who uses a darksoul huh?

yesand no as I see
yes:low HP and you depends and "strong" battle chips
no:the effects and damage of the dark chips, harder to hit cuzz they might dodge well

my friends were hella good in BN4(both beat the game over 6 times and had over 1500 HP) but I seriously kicked his ass with the darksoul

Yeah well, DarkSoul in MMBN4 was WAY friggin' too cheap! It wouldn't matter if you had the crappiest folder in the world, because you would still beat the strongest opponents just by using pure Dark Chips.

What I consider a good idea to do in MMBN 4 or 5 is to wait until very late in the game to start using Dark Chips. Then after you're in Dark Soul, simply have fun with the Dark Chips, but whatever you do, try to save as rarely as possible. That'll help keep your HP fairly high without drastically losing your MAX HP from continuously using Dark Chips.

Now for all you MMBN5 Dark Soul fans out there, you should check out the "Shadow Squall" Folder in GameFAQs. It's REALLY powerful! :O

Hm..

Darksouls are good at some things.. then other things make it all crap..

I have a small group of friends in my town.. And we play Rockman all the time..
But theres this one kid, And he is 11 but INSTESTS on using darkchips all the time..

And yet.. We always beat him when we Netbattle each other :D

But yeah.. Darkchips and Darksoul is really for people who just want to get through the game...
(Oh I just got MMBNCC and I love it!)

I would normaly beat the game, Then I would use darkchips to see if theres any plot diffrece...

He just doesn't know how to abuse the darkpower correctly.

Shadow Squall if you ask me was the strongest folder in the whole of BN5.

Here's my BN4 DarkSoul folder. It's pretty much a DarkSoul version of Pyo's folder in a way.

Static Chain
--------------
3 Invis *
2 Popup *
1 Fastgauge * (regular)
4 SandRing *
4 Static *
4 Areagrab *
4 BugChain *
4 BugFix *
1 Laserman DS X(?)
3 MetalGear3 */3 Filler chips

NaviCust: HP Glitches and Undershirt

This is roughly my DarkSoul EXE4 folder. Search for the BugFix and the BugChain as soon as possible. You lose tonnes of life due to the glitches, but who cares. The SandRings will hold them in place for a really long time and you can use Laserman to remove their NaviCust. Static can also be used. Then use BugChain to pass on your glitches and use BugFix to stop losing HP. The opponent should lose life like hell. If they still haven't died, you have Darkchips to deal insane amounts of damage and power up your spare Statics and BugChains. Laserman DS can also be used with DarkStage.

I considered using BugCharge but I don't think the opponent gets glitched.

Plus BugChain+BugFix is more fun. ^^

here is my most used BN4 dark folder:

3 thunder1 L
3 flameline3 L
3 electshock *
4 static *
1 fast gauge *(preset)
4 invis *
4 atk+ 10 *
2 metal gear3 L
1 bugchain *
1 dark line *
1 atk +30
1 lazerman L
1 lazerman DS L
1 Bass anly X

static + bugs + atk+'s = world of PAIN! ^_^

also Fortenub:

Static Chain
--------------
3 Invis *
2 Popup *
1 Fastgauge * (regular)
4 SandRing *
4 Static *
4 Areagrab *
4 BugChain * <--can only have 1 of the same megachip per folder.
4 BugFix *<--Cant use when dark! and its a megachip... 4 of em.
1 Laserman DS X(?)<-----lazerman is L code
3 MetalGear3 */3 Filler chips

yeah.....

Oops, sorry. My mistake.

In BN4, you can only use the DS of navis, so you can't use just Laserman.

Here's the revamped Static Chain

Static Chain
--------------
3 Invis *
2 Popup *
1 Fastgauge * (regular)
4 SandRing *
4 Static *
4 Areagrab *
1 BugChain *
1 Bass X
1 Laserman DS L
3 MetalGear3 *
3 Thunder1 *
3 Bugbomb *

NaviCust: HP Glitches and Undershirt

After messing around a bit, it's not entirely needed to fix your own bugs. With extra Static and Laserman damage, they should die faster than you. and you have Bugbomb and Bass. Doodle doodle dum dum.

I have a question about Darkchips in EXE4 and EXE5. In EXE4, you could've used DarkChips even an unlimited amount of times in battle, right? They weren't normal chips, they popped out and tempted you when Rockman was worried. My question is... but then what about EXE5? You only put three DarkChips in your folder, you'll be able to use only the three Darkchips once per battle?

In EXE5, the DarkChips were actual entities. They were chips, replete with their own codes. Thus, with the folder limits in place, there is a limit to how many DarkChips one can use per combat--it's based on the number of DarkChips placed in the folder itself. Thus...assuming that there is no limit on the number of DarkChips that one can put into a folder, one can go through all 12. It is likely, however, that one will be saturated with darkness far before reaching that twelve.

But in one turn? Yes, three is maximum--DarkInvis *, (Any DarkChip), DarkPlus *.

Er I was rather wondering if DarkChips appeared even after you used all three of 'em in your folder with, like, Chaos Unisons, or you didn't use them mistakely in a turn. Being them normal chips you put in your folder, and limited to three, I suppose once they're used in a battle, even when in worried mode, they won't come back, or will they? In EXE4 they kept coming infinitely, didn't they? (I never used any DarkChip in EXE4 so I dunno really) But what about EXE5? I KNOW worried-Rockman makes DarkChips pop out more easily, but what about once used?

They operate like normal chips in EXE 5, once used in the Normal Battle operative manner, or through Chaos Soul Unison, they do not reappear afterwards. Plus you are limited to three in a Folder.
