Hello, I sprite a good bit, so I thought I might as well post a few of my better sprites.

First and foremost, my own sprite:

Bask in my glory. Bask, I command you!

Right, next one should be familiar to the Yugioh fans...

I took Mutou Yugi and edited him into Yuuki Judai. There's something strangely ironic about that...

(Fixed-up a bit.)

Then, going further, using Netto as a base, I made Judai in the Rockman EXE style, for use with an overcomplicated story I work on with a friend.

Right, that's all I think is good enough to go here for the moment... Check back later, I'll come up with something.

While your sprite reminds me of the bob and geogre webcomic, the others seem pretty good. I can't see anything that might be wrong with them.
And yes it is strangly ironic. They do meet in the first episode.

Very very good. The Battle Network Judai looks good, you just need to add a little more detail to the hair. It looks a little like a helmet...

If you were going for a kid with demon wings, I'd say you nailed it. So that's good.

The Yugioh Jaden sprite is also good. I think his hair is bigger, but it looks okay as is.

The Jaden/Netto sprite needs some work. Shuko is right, it does look like a helmet. The hair needs a better shape and more coloring. Use an additional shade if you have to. Also the pants need work, because pants don't look like that. Try looking at some sprite pants (say, Enzan's?) and try to emulate that style onto jaden and see how they work. Thge jacket is okay, but needs work.

You can't really follow the sprites template if the character your doing isn't wearing the same clothes as the base. It almost looks like a recolour.

Eh... They're supposed to look more dragon-ish than demon-ish, but, that's good enough.

...Jaden? O_o; Where'd you get that from? His name is Judai... Or, if you want to get technical, Jyuudai. But yeah. "Jaden"?

Also, thanks for the advice about the hair... I see your problems with it, though I don't see 'helmet' in it. But I'll try to fix that.

If we're talking about the same character, than Jaden is the english version of Judai. Is this the main character of Yugioh GX? If not than I'm sorry.

Dragon... Demon, bah all the same. I said you nailed it. That's what matters.

Yes... main character of GX. English name? That explains it... I'm a bit of a Manjoume fanboy, so when I heard the name "Chazz", I just swore off 4kids' version forever.

Also, with Sprites Inc down, I can't get any other EXE sprites to compare the pants... But I did tweak the hair, please tell me how to improve.

Why? What's his real name? I don't watch japanese TV, so I don't hold such convictions against dubbing companies because I remain blissfully ignorant.

And I don't see any noticeable change in the hair. Just use a screenshot of Judai for reference. You can even take his head, put in on a bitmap, shrink it down, and then just follow the relative pattern in paint. I did that for a sprite I did of Kai from Beyblade, and it turned out pretty good.

That sprite is long gone though...

As for the pants, I can't help you. You'll just need to find a reference that you feel will help you make it work.

His real name is Manjoume Jun, aka Manjoume Thunder... I had a sprite of him, but his hair is far too difficult, and sucked. Scratch-spriting a black buzzsaw in that style ain't easy. XD

Judai's hair there, I made the hair smaller, added a third shade to the top left, and such... Minor changes. I'm not too good with hair.

I would like to see some more done with the wings other then them being a recolored copy and paste job from Shademan. Maybe making your own set of wings from scratch could add a bit more to your sprite character.

Well, as you said, Core, I have been intending to redo the wings for a long time... The problem is, when I redo them, they tend to look like crap. But, here's the best I've done, please critique, tell me what I need to improve on, and such.

Hmm, not bad for scratch work and keeping to the pallet that you had for the other ones. But I think that you might want to look at how wings are shaped to get a better idea as to how to make them, looking at Shademan's wings from Rockman 7 will help, as well as some other winged characters from the Rockman series. If you look at them you will see that one wing is bigger and a bit more brightly colored then the other one, this is to give the impression of depth. Right now the wings that you have look like you just did one and mirrored it to have two of them, in fact I'm pretty sure that is what you did.

The ribbing or fingers of the wings also look to be to thick.

I was caught... >>; Yeah, that's what I did, except I re-shaded the right wing to match up shading so it would look like light was coming from the same source.

Make one smaller and reduce the size of the ribs, I'll try that... Thanks for the help.
