RockMan EXE The Movie review

'Noticed something about Dekao, Chisao, and Tohru's new outfits. They all seem to be based off of Enzan's design. Tohru's is the most obvious... the zip-up overshirt has nearly identical seams (down along the zipper and bottom edge of the jacket, as well as the horizontal line in about the middle). Tohru also wears pants now, like Enzan... and the undershirt Tohru is wearing, though a different color, is the same as Enzan's (mostly obvious by the really big stripe along the bottom.)

It looks like Dekao and Chisao directly raided Enzan's closet, though. They now wear two shirts, and it's a little deceiving... the overshirt is green/red (only difference between the two's clothes) with yellow stripes on the sleeves and collar... but NOT on the bottom of the shirt. No, the undershirt is stolen directly from Enzan's undershirt design... black sleeves with a yellow stripe at the bottom. Look at the still-frame shot of Netto running towards all of his friends at the end of the movie (not the one with Meiru tackling him... the one before it), and look at Chisao's shirt (if you don't get what I'm saying).

I loved the animation, but IT WAS TOO DAMN SHORT. :E Barrel was freaking awesome, of course. The man kicks ass, as does Colonel and Forte. Still wish the CF rangers could have gotten more screentime, but at least this goes to show you don't have to CF in order to kick virus arse. :o

I'd be more than happy to buy the Japan DVD. However.... I don't think it would be a good idea for me to do that for a few reasons. 1) I dunno if my DVD player would play it since it isn't region 1. 2) Japanese audio only with no subtitles... How am I supposed to know what they're saying or whats going on?? and 3) hefty import shipping costs, which wouldn't be too much of a problem if #1 and #2 weren't issues. English is being picked up in Japan quite rapidly. There are people here in the US who can speak Japanese fluently and can dub English to Japanese if need be. So why can't they just do the same? Same goes with subtitles. Even cheaper.

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it if you really want to, I'm just saying that unless you can play it or get any enjoyment out of it, its kinda pointless. It reminds me of someone I talked to who bought this expensive $300 Final Fantasy Advent Children set when it was coming out. It came with the Japanese DVD, a statue of Cloud on his bike, a poster, a shirt, a keychain, and a PS2 version of FF7 International. Of course, both the DVD and the game were only compatible with Japanese equipment and he had neither a region free DVD player nor a modded PS2. But he bought it because he was a huge huge fan of FF7. And thats fine. I said that I wouldn't spend my money on stuff that I can't watch or play or understand, but if it was cool with him, it was cool with me. I mean, it would just sit on a shelf somewhere collecting dust. So you could look at it and go "Ahhh... Isn't that something?" but never ever be able to use it for its intended purpose. It would be like buying a PC game for a Macintosh just because of who is on the cover. Now, having said that, I did watch a fansub of FF:AC and thought it was great. When the dub comes out in the US, I intend to buy it on DVD. Nothing beats the quality of the original DVD.

So, don't get me wrong, and don't get mad at me. lol Just my opinion here. I'm not saying that buying the Japanese DVD is a waste of time. After all, if you can play it, you at least get to see and hear it. You can probably grasp the general idea of what is going on, but you just won't know what they're saying and won't be able to get key elements of the plot and some of the humorous parts. I'd rather know what they're saying right off. Being able to watch it in a DVD player is always good too. Which is why I hope they bring it to the US, but... I'm afraid they'll chop it up like they've done so many times before and not even provide a subtitled version with Japanese dialogue. Still, I'd buy the US version if only to support Megaman NTW more.

Well, I have a PS2 and a Gameshark2 and there is this option called DVD Region Free or something to that extent and I'm pretty damned sure that it allows the PS2 to play DVDs with different region codes. I already ordered the movie and I'm just hoping that my speculations are correct...

I saw the commercials for both Rockman.EXE The Movie and the Duel Masters Movie and I want to know, when will the Duel Masters movie come out on DVD?

Sorry for replying from a.not sure if its dead or not thread. But I finally got the DVD of Rockman.exe and I have to say it past my expectations for a Rockman movie..and this time we had more battles than we do in the shows (except Axess and EXE).

All in all I give the movie a 10/10 for having great animation and 3D graphics.

I also notice they were intreducing the [spoil:675d360c2d] Vision burst and..shoot forgot the other word...umm from BN5 of that net and Human world thing.[/spoil:675d360c2d] What ever it was called they showed that in the movie also.

awsome movie. I was like... :O when i was watching. The animation was soooooooo good and the music was very fitting. I was so mad that it was so short tho. I liked how they put footman in the movie. Very interesting to watch him fight. 20/10. would have been 25 if they didn't use some of the music from the show.

Ah im not sure but RPM also has it on the tracker. As for me I had no choice but to download it since it was basicly imposible to buy it and there is no way im gona miss the movie :/. Well anyways I noticed I havent put a review for the movie so I guess I will now.


This movie was just awsome but it could have been somewhat longer as people have stated ^_^'. I loved the Forte action but it would have been cooler if he had worn his cloak when he retunred at the end of the movie since it makes him look cool. Fortes pissed of face really looks umm weird yea....you just never see Forte mad since he doesnt even really use expresions or anything. Colnol and Fortes fight was also really awsome plus it also showed me how slow rockman is with a sword as you see him fighting forte and cutting thos wires with the sword really slowly ^_^'. FCR battle could have been alot longer to and same with Rockman VS Forte after all we have been waiting for a cool fight like thar excl;uding stream 1 and 2 heh. Overall I give this movie a 9/10. I would have gave it a 10 is it was longer though but oh well.

I just downloaded the movie, and I gotta say, that Movie KICKS ASS!!! :D I was expecting the Duel Masters crossover to be a little longer. :eyes: The Forte Cross Rockman scene was like the HOTTEST scene in the whole movie! :D
