Okay, I've finally opened my own art thread. Please note that I do not draw very well, and I am still practicing my shading. (Any shading help, suggestions, tips, or techniques are welcomed!) Also, I do know that some of the pictures are signed "Audrey W". No, I did not steal them, these are all drawn by me. "Audrey W" is just my real name in real life. Comments and critiques are welcomed. Suggestions are, too, but not requests. Well, enjoy!

Two pictures that I've doodled during art class today. (no shading in these though, sorry)

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/Roll.jpg

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/Protoman.jpg

Pictures that I've drawn earlier (these are Halloween-related):

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/HalloweenRoll.jpg

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/HalloweenRush.jpg
(^ The coloring/shading in these above two pictures was something new that I was trying/testing out).

And last, but not least, two fan navis of my creation!
Melany.EXE-
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/Melany.jpg
Glacier-
http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/Glacier.jpg

Glacier is my main fan navi, she is suppose to be the goddess of Love and Hate. I've had her for a long time, and I can show everyone images of her previous appearances. Melany.EXE was something that I thought of just a few days ago.

I'll have more later, for now, I shall wait...

Hmm... These are good. Nothing wrong with any of them.
I find your Melany design interesting.

They are nice. You are very good at sketching Smile And the shading of the two drawings are well done.

Ooooh. These are gewd.

Somehow, the shading seems to get better in each picture as you go down the list. ^ ^; Rush's halloween costume is adorable. XD Melany and Glacier are very interesting characters. I -really- like the shading on them.

I love Rolls pose and her eyes :D *save* ( the normal one). And the one with cat disguise, shes get cuter and cuter when I look at the pic closer and closer.

Great hob for Glacier design =).

Well there has to be something. I see at least a few mistakes in each of them. xD Oh? Melany's design is interesting? Mind explaining how? (if you can, that is).

To Featherdust: Really? The shading is that good? I always thought there could've been something wrong with it.

Thanks to all who commented, and speaking of Glacier's design, Megagirl, I have here a "recent" image of her previous appearance:
*REMOVED*
I drew that in MS Paint.

*Edit, Edit* New link for picture: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-2/951460/Glacier2.gif (I forgot to give credit for myself).

o.o Very good, considering it was drawn on MS Paint. Drawing with a mouse is hard. >_<
Say, quick question... are you the same Panda from the KidsWB boards? I don't hang out there much, only when I'm bored, but I remember a person named Panda. o_O Meh, sorry for getting off topic.

Thank you, and oh, drawing with a mouse isn't too much of a big deal for me. (especially when I have a small canvas). What I mean is, I usually draw better with smaller canvases. (preferably 100x100) For the Glacier picture, I broke it down by pieces.

Erm, no, I don't go to the KidsWB boards, (although I have visited it once or twice in the past) but I just dread going there. A majority of the people there overuse internet slang, and I've seen many with large...VERY large signatures. ><

Agreed. People there don't have the best grammar. <__<; I think, so far, I'm the only one there who doesn't say "omg lol dat is so funni."

Lol (Yes, I admit, I use this one and "brb"), sometimes it's hard to get a decent good topic to post in. Many are misplaced (ex. Some Yugioh topics were found in the Pokemon section), and there are many double...triple...QUADRUPLE (okay, I'll stop, but you know what I mean...) topics that all discuss the same subject. I think that forum is in desperate need of a MOD...>>

And I've always wondered why they didn't have one. Truth be told, I use some internet slang when I'm chatting and stuff, but I don't blatantly overdo it so that it's nearly impossible to decipher.

Someone should email their staff and tell them to round up a few mods or something... Meh, okay, we're flaming them now. Don't wanna get in trouble for that. *goes to eat cookies*

Yes, we're beginning to do the wrong. Can I have some cookies, too? Still a little off topic though, but speaking of chatspeak, at my school, in the 6th grade, and in History class, we were actually taught to use internet slang in our notetaking. (well for notetaking it's okay). It's called Deleting Silent Vowels or Letters, and it's a Speed Writing Shortcut. Sometimes it's hard to decipher though...

*hands you a cookie* ^.^

Note Slang? Interesting... I don't think we were taught to use that for notes, but they did say for us to shorten them so they didn't take as long to write. I never shortened them. For some reason, I just liked writing them out the way they appeared.

Thanks! *munchies*

Yes, the speedwriting shortcuts are Standard Abreviations, Symbols, Deleting Silent Letters, and I believe the last one is Using First Few Letters Abbreviations. Also, for reviewing class notes there are The 3 R's: Reread, Rewrite, and Reinforce. There IS a 4th R (even though it says it's The 3 R's) and it's simply Remembering. We are also covering the last part for Study Skills I think, and that will take place after fall break. (which has just begun for me and is going to be two weeks long. :p) The last part should be Studying Textbook Method thingie. (it's where you can just look at the beginning of your textbook chapter and look at pictures, headings, etc. and uncover a lot of information without even actually having to have read the chapter yet).

Oh yes, and before I forget, I will scan and draw more artsies tomorrow to show everyone. Smile

I love the catwoman Roll, and your fan-navis, especially the detail on the first one.

How did you do that!? These are great. Although I do think that the one of Protoman is a bit disproportoned. (Did I spell that right?)

Thank you, and yes, I noticed how disproportionated it was. I can never draw Protoman correctly. ><

And thanks to Meggirl for the compliment. Smile

I will scan more pictures sometime this afternoon. (pictures of past designs of Glacier.EXE...and her dog...Wink )
