I hope everyone still remembers Sonic's old seasons, I sure do I use to watch Sonic Underground a lot and I love the characters especially Sonia she was really cool, but my fav character for the new season is Knuckles, he's just so kick ass cool!

I hated sonic underground, wasn't that the one where the guys had electric guatars and leather jackets? Didn't tails also have a green cousin? I don't remember it well cause I was kinda young but they kind of killed it and thats why it was cancelled right?

Yeah that's the one where evryone gets apart because Queen Alena wanted to protect their kids and they were a band and the green guy is Manic Sonic's brother not Tails cousin, anyways I think it kinda suck too, but I like the parts that Manic would appear he always gave a good time to this anime Laughing

The one I remember the most is the very first Sonic cartoon, as I found that one featured quite a humerous opening sequence, and who could ever forget the Super Sonic Search and Smash Squad. The second cartoon is the one most people enjoyed as it featured a storyline that was fairly close to the storyline that Archie Comics have been using for their Sonic comics, although it has been over 10 years since then. With Sonic Underground, while it didn't exactly have the right kind of closure to end the series, I found that it provided a different look on Sonic's world, but added more depth to it. Dr. Eggman (Robotnik back then) was my favourite character as he had the villain role locked in place.

Sonic underground? Bleh not good (and actually it's not anime). The old shows were based off the confusing archie comic series. I like sonic X more (except for chris but no one likes him).

The only Sonic cartoon I've ever seen is Sonic X. And what is Sonic Underground? I don't think I've ever heard of it.

Let's see...

There was the Saturday morning Sonic cartoons (I think I saw one... Once... Don't remember it though), The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, which I also can't remember and Sonic Underground.

Underground... I never got to see the ending. T_T But I always found it funny how they managed to shove a song into each episode. :D

Sonic X.... Has Shadow and Knuckles... >O GIVE ME MY METARU~~ *cough* did I miss that episode too? ;.; It's by far the prettiest one of the four. Yeah, I'm a sucker for pretty things. >.>

Neo-san, there are those people out there who likes him. Even if they are few and far in between. *is not a Chris fan*

Hmm.

The only Sonic cartoon I recall watching was The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but that was years back and I don't recall a lot of it. I do recall, however, that I enjoyed watching it and the lilting refrain of "I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!" Heh. Good times. I also think that that was the first time I was ever exposed to time-travel as a plot device, since I recall a minor arc in that series dealing with time travel.

Ahh...how I miss the classic cartoons.

The Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog was overly cartoony, the Freedom Fighter series was pretty cool and had an interesting plot, Sonic Underground...was an abomination, and Sonic X is okay, but has its crappy points...

I actually like Sonic X myself. While it doesn't follow the plotline of the games exactly (although it has done this loosely), it's turned out to be very entertaining thus far. Some of the voices though are hard to listen to, but most of them I find really work with the character and as such, I like them. The character designs also resemble their video game counterparts and that is a plus for my book.

Sonic Underground, the only DiC cartoon to feature Knuckles AND utilize his Archie comic backstory (What with the inclusion of Great Grandfather Athair being present.) and they STILL royally screwed him over. People are mocking Knux for having Dan Green's Yami voice in Sonic X and yet I doubt they realize how jacked up his voice was in Underground. (Waaaay too young and sounded like a little punk ass snob.)

Also I believe AoStH AND SatAM were both based off the comics. I remember Scratch and Grounder being in the very first issues of the series and DiC splitting the universe in two from there. AoStH was primarily based off the comic's comedy side with heavy Sonic 2 influence while SatAM was based off the serious side of the comic.

I didn't get to hear what Knuckles sounded like in Underground, but I do know he was voiced by Ian James Corlett, who was the very first english VA to play Goku from DBZ.

How the hey do you keep all this VA stuff straight, Kirb?

Anyways... I saw one episode of Sonic Underground, and that did it for me. Never went back to it.

I never really remember watching The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but I'm told that I did, so...

The series that I remember most was the Freedom Fighter eps. Primarily because it was the only time that I could literally knock my brothers out of bed and get away with it because they wanted to see the show too. Man... I miss those days...

Now the first two seasons of Sonic X were the best when it came to Sonic cartoons, but this new season I don't care for. They completely messed Chris over- and being one of the few and far between Chris supporters, that annoys me. The idea of them becoming space travelers also grates me since I feel that that kills a lot of the charm the series had.

the only thing I liked in the new season of Sonic X is the return of Shadow Razz The bad part is the ending of the new season, it is kinda a cliffhanger. [spoil:3819fe1d34]Eggman sends Chris away with a machine back to earth i think, but we dont see if his body returns to normal etc[/spoil:3819fe1d34]

Sonic Satam was one of my favorites. Too bad it got canceled. I wanted to know whos eyes that were at the end after Robotnik got sent away by a kinda Chaos Control move.

AOSTH was also great. I liked the time travel arc. It was the first and only arc in this series which featured time travel+Chaos Emeralds.

What I liked about the first two seasons of Sonic X was that they were loosely based on the videogames. They stuck with parts of the plotlines as was shown during the Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 arcs and used the idea of collecting the Chaos Emeralds which was a factor in the early games. While I am amazed that they covered both games in about five or six episodes when it comes to both Sonic Adventure games, some parts were left out, whether or not they served an actual purpose and it makes it feel somewhat rushed.

With Sonic and company going around in space in this new season of Sonic X, I agree that this takes away some of the charm that the earlier episodes had, but it does allow for an adventure that doesn't have to follow in the footsteps of the games and is free to go out on its own and make something for itself. I was expecting some kind of Sonic Heroes arc at this time, but maybe that will come up later.

Heh, Sonic Underground was okay, but not the best. I remember when I was a kid and I watched the original cartoon (Not Underground or X, just "Sonic the Hedgehog"), man that brings back memories...

I remember renting a Sonic movie back when I was 8 or so. It was about Robotnik asking Sonic to destroy a Metal Rototnik (who looked like an overweight transformer), but instead it was a trap involving a robotic Sonic that Robotnik had made in order to kill him. I also remember Knuckles sporting a really cool cowboy hat, untill the finale when some lava ignited it. That was a great movie, but I still can't figure out how Sonic could survive a 3 mile fall to the ground.
