There's a Viewtiful Joe Anime. I didn't know that. I only played the demo of game#2 but it seemed good none the less

I do hope they bring a dub of the anime out to the U.S.

They will, the show was just licensed recently by some company named Geneon. Anyway maybe we will get dubbed/subbed DVDs in the future then (hopefully). ^^

I've seen about six of the episodes so far, and I think the show was pretty enjoyable overall.

Geneon, huh? They do a lot of those Animes on G4 TechTV. I wonder if the dub'll end up on that channel too.

I think it'd be perfect on cartoon network's toonami.

Heh, VJ is so great. It actually got to the point where I was playing it nearly non stop a few weeks ago in a rabid attempt to get the perfect rainbow V file. I got irritated with it though and gave it a small break. I just need to finish the last half of the last level of VJ (1) and then i get the unlimited VFX.

As for VJ2, i just need to get some cash, then i can finally get it.

It's like....$20 last time I checked.

But.....if there was a VJ3, what can we expect from it?
-The final fight with Alastor
-Yet another enemy
-The end of the VJ Series
-<Add random things here>

I want unlockable characters like they did in VJ1. :<

I love Viewtiful Joe XD

Episode 24 was great...and it leads up to episode 25 which looks AWESOME. Although it does seem weird for an anime to be based off of it and follow a different plot...if they used the same plot from the games...it wouldn't get anywhere fast (It would probably be 30 episodes long.)

I beat both games, and I am eagerly awaiting the third.

I doubt that the anime will cover the third game unless it gets a second series though.

Plus [spoil:36d95f555b]Didn't Captain Blue mention something about Joe needing to save the world more twice more in the future at the end of the first game?[/spoil:36d95f555b]

Damn I need to play VJ2. Apparently Blockbuster are a bunch of retarded assholes with no logic anymore. You don't get the first game in a series in and then not get the sequel! :grr: And they avoid games with peripherals too! It's an injustice I tell you! :grr:
FYI thers going to be a third one

Question.

Is the VJ anime still on VJ1's storyline. If it is. When do you think it will go to the VJ2 storyline?

Spoiler for the most recent episode of the anime:

[spoil:e0b259b104]Viewtiful Joe 1's storyline just ended this week in the anime, with Joe beating Captain Blue (who unfortunately didn't get any of his fancy lightning powers Sad )
And they're going right to the second game's storyline next week.[/spoil:e0b259b104]

PS2!? Anyway I saw the two episodes I had on my computer(24 and 26) and that ends the first season which recaped the first game ands so here is a possibly spolier summary; [spoil:413fd03051]Joe fights his way past the three bosses (charles the III, gran bruce, and hulk davidson) then fights fire leo (in ep 25). Joe and six majin, the giant robot, show up at the jadow's base and they meet their leader, who the villians refer as "King-sama", Which of course is king blue. The two giant robots fight then joe and blue jump out to fight. The fact that captain blue is king blue suprises everyone.
The two are evenly matched and we see all the characters from the episodes watch the fight. Jr. get everyone around (he's in a city the jadow wrecked in episodes 23 and 24) to call joe's name and it gives him a glowing fist to stop captain blue when he punches him. The shot causes blue to fall and slivia relizes that he's her dad. So sprockets lowers her down to joe and they hug and stuff. Slivia rushes to her dad and after some words, he teleports them back to the city where everyone cheers for them. Jr. rushes to meet his idol and slivia asks for a v-watch so blue teleports them to that space place you fight him in and gives her a v-watch. Her call is just like joe's and her suited up impresses joe just as much as blue being her dad does and it stuns jr. (which is pretty funny).
Next ep the Gedow apears and joe, silvia, and jr. get out of the movie and meet joe's dad jet.[/spoil:413fd03051]

The article updated, apparently it is coming to Gamecube too Smile
This is great news, I love fighting games and I love Viewtiful Joe even more :3
I hope the Jadow/Gedow bosses are playable, I'd love playing as Charles or Leon.

Well I've finished both games but I'm still going to try to get all the unlockables. It helps playing as Dante(PS2) with addition of the guns, the alastor sword has a greater range then Joe's Punches, plus the part where Dante meets up with Alastor is also hilarious.
