Comments on EXE Singapore Dub

Today Episode 2 was aired.

I can roughly remember certain things. First the title was changed to "Running in the subway" if I'm not wrong. That robot dog and the "EMERGENCY" was revoiced.

World 3 is still World 3...
Elec Hakushaku is Count Elec (Like how WPP translate).

I can hear that some of their voice acting are not very accurate especially in their pronouncation. Meiru voice sounds very ghostly to me for some reason.

Count Elec voice is not bad but since this is already English Dub, he doesn't say any English (yet maybe...). The first time he got zap, he say "Destroy everything".

Sorry for the poor comments because its hard for me to recall, maybe it will be better once I get sample.

Elecman sounded...wierd.
Meiru's voice was still ghostly for some reason.
Pretty okay episode as they kept true to the translation.
Seeing Dekao get bitten multiple times was pretty funny.
Doctor Wily...isn't gruff enuff.

Hmm, still sounds good for what it is though. Does this dub use the Rockman EXE OST for it's background music? And, where you able to see the full opening for episode 2?

If anyone is able to record this new dub on vhs, and send it my way, I would gladly pay you back the costs (and throw in a couple extra treats). It would be really nice to be able to review this for this site.

VHS....you mean videotape it?
Sadly,I don't have a VCR...I'll check if I can record it on my webcam....which involves dragging my TV into the room.

The dub for Singapore is horrible : (

My reason being that not only were the voices horribly changed, it did not suit the characters nor was the timing right.

When Dekao screamed each time he was bitten, there was like a 2 second lag before he actually screamed, disappointing.

Count Elec's voice just isn't the same as his original japanese one, sigh..

Even with the edits and cuts, etc. I'd probabyl want to stick with the US/Canada dub for the show. I guess I've become too used to it by now.

Yeah,but it's pretty good considering they kept all the openings/endings and BGM's.
This is already good compared to the other shows they had subbed before...(Doraemon/Digimon/Masked Rider)

Yeah, a dub with no name changes, original OST and uncut... I don't care how awful the acting is, there is no way that can be worse then what NT Warrior is. I loved the background music so much, a dub with it sounds incredible. I sure hope someday I get to watch this somehow.

Today KC aired Episode 3. Signal Panic was retained.

Yaito voice really fit her this time. Her voice is kinda sharp. As usual Meiru, "Miss Mariko" and the new Madoi (forgot how to spell her name) sounds like they have no energy. X.x When Mariko teaches, it sounds almost like she is talking to herself...

Glyde's voice doesn't contain the emotion that the japanese actors have and but luckily he doesn't sounds like he is a robot with a robotic voice.

Akihara Elementary was changed to Akihara Primary School (fitting the Singapore's education system). Likewise, Yaito transferred from England was suppose to be in "primary 3" but since she done well, she was transferred to "primary 5".

Most part was unchanged but this one was sort of edited. When Netto and Meiru was walking to school. Dekao came in and said "What did I tell you about going near Meiru". Netto replied "How about what did I tell you about getting near me?"

Overall the dubbing is fine but the dubbers need to put in more energy in their voice acting.

Sidenote: I have heard rumors that Rockman EXE mechandise have been spotted island including the rare plugin pets.

They are still just rumors. For merchandise to pop up here, it must be popular, like Gundam Seed. Still,I'll kill for a toy PET.

I heard comic connection are selling these toys such as Plugin Pet is it true?

I ask this because I heard that the Plugin Pet was no longer on sale in Japan for quite a long time already.

Today.
Was in Singapore shopping and went to Comics Connection.
There it was,like the Holy Grail,just sitting there.
Pretty cheap if you ask me.
