| I have an idea to warn a moderator about a problem in posting. Introducing the Report Post icon. If somebody is breaking the rules when posting, instead of PMing, we can report to the moderators the situation and they'll take care of it. The report post can be next to the edit or quote icons in your posts. So, what do you say? :chat: |

They could just go to a mod or admin's profile and click PM?

No no. I think it should go next to the edit/quote icons in your post. You get to warn them faster that way. :] It makes it seem like you're calling the cops and you want them to come and solve the problem as soon as possible.  |

If a person needs to get the attention of an admin or mod, they can just go to their profile and click PM...it's easier than having to install a mod to the forum.

And, as someone said before in a certain other forum, such a function would clutter the admin/mods mailboxes with unnecessary 'reports', especially if people take to abusing the function. Besides, people have a tendency to report posts which they merely think is off-topic or they are offended by which might not be against the rules. >>; Direct PMing of a moderator encourages politeness and pretty much eliminates the "oh, I'll report this just because I want to" factor.

If we were having major problems at this forum I might consider it, but at this point we're all running very smoothly. I don't see the need to clutter up the forum with features we don't really need.
