Does anyone have a wierd thing that happens in their life from playing videogames? For example, whenever I listen to the song "Moskau," The ending part reminds me of Zelda:Wind Waker. And whenever I'm on the computer spriting, writing a fic, or posting codes into a Gameshark, I kinda imagine Battle Network 5's NaviCust music in my head. Anyone else?

When I play BN too long, I can still hear music from the game even though I turned the game off.
Probably the most common weird effect is obsession. Which I have, though, nothing too serious.

Yes.

Anyway...I have a tendency to use idioms that I have heard repeatedly from games in real life. Unfortunately, I cannot think of any off of the top of my head. In addition, I also seem to have a greater tendency to scribble game-related things in my notes during lectures. I'm sure it's nothing major, but it's certainly being influenced by my gaming nature.

I hear boss battle music from various games in my head when I'm writing a big exam.

I hear Boktai music in my head when it's a sunny day and I feel like screaming "Taiyohhhhhhhhhh!" at the top of my lungs.

I see just about everything I walk past as something I can hit with a sword or something I can transmute with alchemy.

Music just rings in my head while I do anything, the weirdest thing was hearing the stone tower temple theme from Majora's mask while doing finals.

And you have no idea how many times a day when I just sit there and think up strategies for kicking my friends ass at battle network 5.

Everytime I do something exciting such as racing go-karts,the theme songs from all the animes I watch suddenly pop into my head, and before you know it,I start humming them.

sometimes when I am writting I'll start to write the name of a videogame character like if i starte to type somthing like row and I space off I wind up going back to it and writing rockman or something like that. Or a N word becomes Netto.

I'll be sitting in class and suddenly Inuyasha Theme songs pop into my head but that is from constantly listening to InuYasha theme song collection in 1-4 period while doing my work walking from classes or during the days that I have periods 5-8 where I have no classes I can listen to my CD players in is when they pop in my head the most.

Back on track, If I play one of my games at Lunch then for all of 3rd period or 7th period I hear one of the theme songs in my head if I don't put my headphones on to listen to my Inuyasha theme song collection.

Dang I seriously need to get some more J-POP. I might order smile and Coordinate just so I have more J-POP to listen to because the same songs over and over again are driving me crazy.

Have you ever watched the online show, "Pure Pwnage?" I tell ya, that is one addicted gamer. It's so funny so see how his gaming addiction supposedly affects his life in that show. He talks like he's playing WoW or something. I forget the site where it's located, so Google it. If it helps, the guys who produced it is "ROFLMAO Productions".

With me, if I ever play a video game long enough (usually after a couple of hours of playing), I start to hear the music in my mind and at certain times, it plays back through my mind and I remember every last bit of detail that I heard when I was playing. I have a tendency to memorize music after hearing it several times over. Also, playing a game long enough, I wind up saying actual quotes and attack names from the game in question for no real reason.

I start whistling EXE5 BGMs out of the blue, and my friends ask "What's that song?" I said "If I knew the name, I'd tell you..." Add to that the fact that I'm the only Rockman fan in the group...

At my old job I use to play music from Final Fantasy in my head while working, if I got a tip I would play the fanfair that plays at the end of a battle. :D There have been times when I play a game so much that the music for it stays in my head even after the game is over and turned off for the night.

I usually get some of the Klonoa vocal songs stuck in my head. First, there was Wahoo Stomp ( 'Stepping Wind' in Japan) and then it was The song of Rebirth.

Sometimes I randomly shout 'Wahoo!' like Klonoa. And I played the Klonoa theme song in my head when I'm happy since it's such a cheerful ( But EXTREMELY short. Like 5 seconds long. :O ) song.

And I randomly play any of my favorite game music in my head. *starts humming Paper Mario theme song* Gee, I like that one. better than the one for The Thousand-Year Door. :D

Eh, a bunch, actually. Some animes and some games.

Results from watching too much Rockman: Sometimes when I am bored, my mouth starts to move along with my hands doing the Netto pose, chanting, 'Battle Chip, Sword, Slot in!' And sometimes doing the Rockman forming sword pose. Ultra weird effect, eh?

Results from watching too much Full Metal Alchemist: Starts to clap hands together and hit the ground like doing alchemy. Also tries to snap at someone like Roy Mustang.

Results from Gashu: Starts to chants various spells of Gash (mostly Zakeru) whenever I can. Ahh.

Results from Detective Conan: Starts to magically turn my shoes like there is a trigger on it and kicks in air. Also starts to act like a soccer prodigy and kicks in midair like practicing.

I know, I am weird.

At class I use my right hand to make the EXE5 virus battle music with the end of the seat, too bad I can't do it on this desk.

...

I will be randomly wandering around before a sudden urge to play a certain game will come over me, and my hands start twtiching like they were holding the controller and tapping the buttons.

@__@ I don't even know what sets those things off. I'll be like...

*Walking around a mall* .... I need my Sonic fix. >.>

.... Or I'll get hit with something nostalgic and have a sudden flashback (such as that time I was pwning everyone in SSBM as Link in the video store). I think there's a certain smell that triggers it... I'm not even sure anymore....

T_T help me...
