Rant time. >_>;;
Laika is an idiot. And a hypocrite.
Oh, sure, the bigass tower suddenly starts spewing electricity from a Lightning Rod on the top - heaven knows how that happened - so you decide right away to call up Meijin for a D-Area? What, no resorting to other resources? Such as actually plugging your Navi into something to handle it? What about Searchman's mad l33t cross-network sniping skillz? Whatever happened to "we can think indefinitely"? I think Laika was right in his first episode - CF really does remove the need for a brain.
And then the D-Area forms, Laika CFs...and goes flying straight up at the electrical storm? If you can fly, why not fly a tiny bit farther away from all the electricity so you *won't* get shocked? And fall seventeen stories as a result? Sure, he then l33t sniper-shot the control panel...while five feet off the ground. Coulda've just spared all the trouble of flying up and getting shot down, and just hovered at a safe distance while taking aim with his handy-dandy SCOPE, which allows snipers to, usually, keep *out* of danger, not fly straight at it.
So, the conclusion? Either CF kills brain cells, or Laika hit his head once too often while in CF. :P

Laika suffered the same fate as Enzan did. Remember the original EXE? Enzan was ungodly powerful. Now he seems to be at a lower level than Netto. Blues had indescribable speed and sword-fighting abilities, didn't he? When Laika and Searchman were first introduced, Laika could kick some butt with his little grappling hook pen and Searchman could blow holes through navis with a single long-distance shot. I guess if the writers wanted to keep the super-duper powerful characters around, they had to weaken and "dumben" them so they'd actually have some competition... _________________

Then make the enemies smarter, not the main characters dumber >__<;; I'd give anything for a battle which actually involved strategizing, for once...instead of action shots and explosions. It seems that the original EXE had more strategy, despite a less expansive battling area. Hell, you've got CF and you can fight in the real world - why not start using that to your advantage, instead of blowing everything up?
This goes mainly for enemies, actually, who subscribe to the Godzilla tactic. But it also goes without saying I'd like to see my characters pull off more creative ways of dealing with them, thank you very much >>

The Good: I like how those Zonaroids or whatever take on their forms and their inclusion of super forms is a nice touch. Hopefully they'll be used as something other than an excuse to make it take a couple more battle chips to beat them. One of them actually survived. Roll, Iceman, and Aquaman babysitting Trill was hilarious.
The bad: Looks like Plantman may have been deleted, which could mean more of those one-shot deletions, which if you ask me if a waste of a perfectly good badguy. The fight seemed to be the typical battle chip slugging match. They should really try to add in some strategy into these fights.
The ugly: The navi's super forms. Guess they have the navi equivilent of steroids. I'd love to see Zero.exe would look with that kind of form though. _________________ Red Green's words of wisdom:

Graveyard Beyond? This must be some place where deleted data gets sent... Though, where do these data go after being re-deleted (Think 'PlantMan' here...). This must be a place where instinct rules over reason, hence Greiga, Falzer, and Zoanaroids come from here...
Here's what I think: Trill is the core of Beyondard, with Greiga and Falzer as his/her protectors. They have their own territories, and Navi data that drifts there is reformated into Zoanaroids. That's why SparkMan's Beast Out is dog-like, while PlantMan's is bird-like... Though, where do these data go after being redeleted - back to Beyondard?
Greiga and Falzer then have a competition for power. Whoever of them merges with Trill will become the ultimate net being in existence. But this competition leads to Trill's disappearance from Beyondard. Greiga and Falzer go after him, and Beast ep1 enters.
I just can't figure out why Z-SparkMan and Z-PlantMan went after the tower... Is it a warning? Or maybe it's a part of their plan to defeat Beast Out Rockman...
If you really do spend time with someone for so long, you start to think like him/her. Just take a look at Greiga and Falzer...
These're just my hunches, though... _________________ 闇の黒井心の本当のカ

the word "zoanoroids" reminds me of Zoanoids(sp?), the enemy monsters in Bio-Boosted Armor Guyver. |

Now I think about it, it seemed like AXESS was going for a slightly older audience than EXE was, but now it seems like Stream and Beast are going for an even younger audience than EXE was... |

Hmm, I haven't seen this ep yet, and from what I'm hearing, that may be a good thing. Plantman gets killed in 25 mins AGAIN... Raika uses CF instead of a more conventional way to shut down a lightening rod, and now the navis can go feral?!
I really hope that Beast won't turn out to be another Stream... And I do wish that there would be more anime exclusive bad guys instead of constantly re using the old ones. I mean, don't you find it odd that there are THREE copies of the exact same navi? The original, one on an intergalactic Doomsday machine, and a third in some prehistoric part of the net. Although I will look foward to seeing Punk and Flameman (Flamman) make their anime debuts. _________________ ' I don't care if the buzz isn't real- I can roleplay being drunk!'

I kinda saw that Rock said he could let Medi take care of the baby. But Roll says no. Something like that. |

Quote: | The baby starts to realize Rockman isn't waking up, so he gets sad and starts crying. The sound of the baby's crying sends electricity out of Yuuichirou's computer. It also sends a powerful sound wave through Net City, causing all of the navis to wrench in auditory pain. |
Don't we all whenever we hear a baby crying *gets twapped* -_-;
Back on topic though, I want to see this episode! Furry plantman seems something I can pass of for a halloween costume. (Werewolf meet plantman :D *gets twaped yet again* >_< ) About aquaman though I can see him drowning since there's another bubble that is his air hole, the water goes in and exits the hole so if Trill was plugging it that's why he was drowning; eithier that or he was really plugging his air..........Just my theory. |
