Poem-fest

Hey I'm a newbie and I've been trying to get onto fanfiction.net for ages but haven't received ANYTHING (glares at FF.net lords) so I decided to try putting my stuff on here instead. I've got some one-shots and stuff going at the minute but I also had a bit of a poem-fest and I'll put some poems here and see how everyone likes them.

Before I start my poems just a bit of info bout them.
1)I've only ever seen Megaman NT Warrior so I just use American names.
2)There can be more than one set of characters that my poem applies to so its kinda up to you to decide who you think the poem is about. If you don't get the poem at all just tell me and I'll put a hint.
3)Most of my stuff's kinda angsty but I'll try not to go OTT.
4)I don't do rhyming.

Okay! On with the show!

Twisted Ideals

You stand there defending
That blue blob of pixels
That lies behind you that
Mash of friend and enemy
As are you

How do you do it
Every single time?
With one look throw
All my thoughts and ideals
Into screaming confusion

I find it quite funny
You have no idea
How many powerful navis
Have knelt before me
Begging for mercy

Yet though you are only
A weak defenceless human
You look at me as an equal
Held by love for that thing
And much worse
Love . . . for me

Even after all
I've done to you
Even through pain
You pity me as though
I am the weak one
You the strong

Offer me friendship
And I find myself
Considering it
Going aginst my ideals
For you

But I can't be your "friend"
The only human who had that
Flung it back in my face
Say your loyal but
That's just what you'll do

So I return to my purpose
Revenge, it keeps me strong
Stops anyone from coming close
And breaking me
Even you

Allows me to turn away
Walk away
And not look back

I kind of got the idea for this from Neko's fanfic Confusion so please don't kill me Neko and I'll lend you my gerbil army! (gerbils start waving Neko banners)

Hmm. Interesting.

Well...poetry is usually something that is shied away from here, as this is the first poem that I have read on the forum for quite some time. Nevertheless, I like it. I'm glad that there is no rhyme scheme, since it lends support to itself by being closer to prose than poetry. Nothing about it seemed to stand out, but nothing about it was terrible either.

Don't worry about being inspired by one of Neko's fics. She seems to be quite the inspiration for some of the writers here...I'm sure she'd be flattered.
