Nurse Cosmoman-CosmoSwallow Shounen Ai One Shot

"I still don't see how you got sick." Cosmoman muttered as he stared Swallowman's body on the bed.

"Shut up..." Swallowman groaned as turned over, clutching his head and hissing. "You're too loud."

Cosmoman sighed in exasperation and left the room. Swallowman had been feeling like this for a week, and it had gotten so bad that Dr. Regal had ordered Swallowman to rest. That also meant that Cosmoman was the one stuck caring for him. He then growled in frustration; how did this happen anyways?

Cosmoman supposed that it happened a week and a half ago, where he and Swallowman were virus busting. Some strange virus, one of those mushroom ones if Cosmoman remembered correctly, managed to hit Swallowman with its powder. At the time, the bird navi said he was alright. A few days later, however, he was showing symptoms of a fever. The fever got so bad that he flopped a mission that made the doctor very displeased with him.

Now Swallowman was confined to his bed, moaning in discomfort. When Cosmoman took his temperature, he was shocked to see that the bird navi had developed a fever. It wasn't a high one by any means, but it was still a serious enough one to cause concern.

Currently making his way to the kitchen to fix Swallowman some soup. Sure, it was simple, but it was the only thing that would make Swallowman feel better. That, and it was the only thing Cosmoman could make without totally destroying the kitchen.

Warming up the stove and putting in the ingredients for the soup, Cosmoman let it simmer and went to sit down on the couch. Sighing, he stared up at the ceiling. Although he wouldn't admit it, he was worried about Swallowman. He looked to be in some kind of pain, and the larger Darkloid couldn't figure out what was making the bird navi so uncomfortable.

Suddenly hearing some shuffling in the hallway and a groan, Cosmoman looked over to see a sweating Swallowman leaning on the wall. The larger navi stood up.

"What are you doing out of bed?" Cosmoman asked seriously while heading over towards the bird navi.

Swallowman only looked at him, face flushed. "I...I have to go out...I can't be confined here...all day..." he panted out, coughing after finishing his sentence. Cosmoman only looked at him and shook his head.

"Oh no you don't." Cosmoman replied as he took Swallowman in his arms. The bird navi squirmed, but Cosmoman held him tight. "You are in no condition to be going anywhere."

"Just watch me..." the bird navi muttered before coughing again, "I need some air..."

"You do that, and you'll be even worse off then you are now." Cosmoman remarked dryly as he laid Swallowman on the bed. "Now, don't move. And I mean it." Swallowman huffed as Cosmoman left the room, but he didn't attempt to get up again.

A few minutes later, Cosmoman returned with a bowl of soup in his hands and set it down on the nightstand next to the bed. "As soon as you're able to sit up, I want you to eat this. In fact, you should do it while it's still hot." Swallowman tried to sit up, but groaned when he fell back onto the pillows. Cosmoman sighed.

"Fine. I'll just feed you then." he grumbled before he took a spoonful and held it near Swallowman's mouth. "Now, open up that mouth of yours." Swallowman merely stared at Cosmoman before opening his mouth to allow the food to enter. He swallowed the soup, slightly grimacing at the taste.

"It doesn't taste that bad!" Cosmoman said as he looked at Swallowman's face. "If it's a little burnt, then you can blame yourself for that fact." Swallowman pouted at the large navi as he continued to feed the bird navi.

This continued for a few minutes until the bowl was empty. Standing up, Cosmoman began to walk out of the room. "Now, get some sleep. You need it." he commanded. Swallowman nodded and turned over, closing his eyes. Smiling, Cosmoman went back to the kitchen to clean the dishes.

Some hours passed before Cosmoman returned to the bedroom, checking up on his boyfriend. Swallowman was curled up under the covers, hugging a pillow. Apparently, he was mumbling in his sleep.

"Ah...Cosmoman..." he muttered, making the larger navi somewhat blush, "Please...stay with me..."

Blinking, Cosmoman couldn't decide if Swallowman was awake or not. Walking closer, he put his hand on the bird navi's forehead. "The fever's broken..." he muttered, smiling. Turning Swallowman over so he was face up, he chuckled. "You're a lot of trouble to take care of when you're sick, aren't you?"

Taking a spare blanket and a pillow, Cosmoman began to leave the room. He didn't want to chance getting sick either. Just as he was leaving the room however, Swallowman shifted in his sleep.

"Cosmoman..." he breathed, "Thank you..." Swallowman murmured before turning over again.

Cosmoman smiled. "You're welcome, my little bird." Heading out to the living room, he got himself comfortable on the couch.

It was going to be a long day tomorrow, as he was certain that Swallowman was going to drag him around to make up for all the time he missed while he was sick. Oh well.

Huh, a one-shot that actually took me a few hours to do. Imagine that.

Seems good, the only question is wouldn't a recovery chip heal the effect? And since when is there soup in the net? Or a kitchen for that matter? The closest thing to a kitchen in the net would be a giant hole where ingredients fall in. But besides that, is there?
