EXE 6 Boss Name Meanings (Possible Spoilers)

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the names Greiga and Faltzer mean, if anything. I tried Google, but all it gave me was EXE 6 stuff.

I believe somewhere in the EXE 6 thread it says that they're based upon a legend.

I don't believe their names have any japanese meanings since they are written inf Katakana. However I only know alittle bit of other languages(mainly stuff like hello) but they are based on some legend about a wolf and falcon that are enemies. However I don't know if the myth was japanese or not. But I know that the Legend has been put into part of the game so the Legend of the Cyberbeasts, or Greiga's and Falzor's origin is based on a myth, however their names probably come from some language other than Japanese, or english.

Probably a Chinese legend.. This brings be back to Digimon, how the four gaurdians were based on a legend and the Devas were of the Chinese Zodiac. Faltzer (is the bird one right?) Seems more like a Phenix to me.

They may not really have inherent meanings as such, I mean the Dream/Life Virus didn't really mean anything much, it's just a cool name. Sometimes people do name things on a whim.

That is also true, just because they are based on characters from a myth, doesn't mean their names have to be anything signifficant. They could just be names that they thought sounded cool, and fit the designs.

I have a feeling that their names are just names. Names don't have to mean anything at all. Greiga sounds like a cool name so they probably named him Greiga because it fit him. As for Falzor, look at the first three leters Fal, Falcon, he is a bird, and zor, Razor, Falcon Razor. I just noticed that my self. He has sharp talons, and the blade on his head so maybe they ment for that, or Razor Falcon if you look at it the other way it seems like an X boss. So maybe that was their plan. I haven't noticed anything that would work for Greiga, so it could just be a coincidince. And their names could just be that, names.

"Griega", a misspelling of Greiga, means "Greek" in English. Not that that means anything. O.o

Faltzer doesn't seem to mean anything remotely.

I think HiKaizer is right here - the names seem to have to been made up on the spot.

HiKaizer, I am pretty sure that most people already knew that Rockman is based on the whole Rock n' Roll. I know he wasn't supposed to look like a rock or rock star, I was just adding more examples to what Flame Buster said.

Sorry Kram, wasn't trying to be condescending or insulting.

We hardly know anything of the story yet, and since I don't know what the legend of the Cyber Beasts is there isn't anything I know of that suggests that there has to be a Pheonix. If there was it's likely that there'd be a Dragon as well, because that's the derivate Chinese Mythological pairing.
