Beast Episode 7: "Capture Rockman!" (SPOILERS)

PRE-FACE
As usual... I don't know Japanese. Anything heavy in dialogue... you're on your own. I must also comment that most of the episode was pretty ugly (disregarding plug-in/slot-in sequences, since those are done by a different artist)... and the action was fairly dull. But, nonetheless, here we go...

SUMMARY
The episode begins in Net City as we see Rockman, Greiga Beast Out version walking around, destroying stuff. Net City is in ruins and flames.

At the Sci-Lab, Meijin and Yuuichirou are overviewing the destruction at Rockman's hands. Netto soon shows up, extremely distressed. Meiru and Yaito both show up with Manabe. The three girls offer their help to succumbing Rockman. Meiru and Yaito sport their pretty plug-in sequences from Beast 5 (full-screen).

Roll and Glide encounter Rockman (horrible animation error with Roll's hand here). He immediately attacks, so Manabe uses a Battle Chip Gate to send a handful of Paralyse Bombs (?) to Glide and Yaito, but they keep missing. They speed up their throws, but Rockman dodges them all. Meanwhile, Z-Pharaohman watches the battle from afar.

Rockman dives at his friends and a huge cloud of dust appears. Meanwhile, the Maha-Ichiban Dash closes, so Dingo and Dekao relax a bit. Dekao and Gutsman start talking about Net City, but Dekao seems to get side-tracked with curry spices. Dingo laughs and the two plug-in their navis. Dekao gets an extended version of his previous jiggly-belly plug-in where he does a curry chef pose and rips off his curry clothes, and Dingo also gets a pretty plug-in.

As soon as Gutsman and Tomahawkman appear in Net City, they're encountered by Rockman (still in Greiga Beast Out). Suddenly, these laser-gun thingies appear around Rockman and shoot out "laser ropes," tying Rockman up and carry him up into the air. (?) It seems to be part of Yaito and Meiru's plan. With Rockman tied up, Glide and Roll nail him with some Paralyse Bombs. Rockman seemingly passes out.

Roll mentions that it's Rockman and Trill combined. Gutsman and Tomahawkman gasp in surprise... as does Bubbleman, who suddenly appeared. Bubbleman sees the tied-up Rockman as a perfect chance to attack, so he sends explosive fish at him. However, they all miss and hit the "laser rope" machines, freeing Rockman! He lands and knocks everyone away... Roll, pissed off, chews Bubbleman out and kicks him away, shooting-star style.

The four navis rush to where Rockman landed, but he's disappeared. Z-Pharaohman also grows bored and leaves. Frustrated, Netto screams out Rockman's name.

Later that night, Meiru and Yaito discuss the events with Manabe. Dekao and Dingo deliver some curry and seem to offer some up-lifting words to try again. Meanwhile, Netto stands atop a roof, staring into the distant... Suddenly, the mysterious butterfly girl calls to Netto from the distance.

Not sure what she talks about... but it involves Enzan, Rockman, and Trill. We also see Enzan back in Ameroupe, finally awaking from getting knocked out last episode. The monitors around him are staticky, as is the image on his PET screen. Blues is still inside the cyber world, battling viruses.

Netto and the girl still talk... still not sure what about. But, the wind blows hard and the girl vanishes. Meijin and Yuuichirou, meanwhile, are still looking into the Rockman thing when Netto walks in, distressed. The three talk about stuff... they seem to have a plan to stop Rockman... Greiga Rockman reawakens and appears in Net City's football stadium... and starts blowing it to pieces. Yaito, Dekao, Dingo, and Meiru send in their navis once more.

*eye-catch... Dingo/Tomahawkman and Enzan/Blues*

As the stadium scoreboard crumbles, the four navis materialize again, face-to-face with Greiga Rockman. A black-hole thing appears behind Rockman suddenly... it seems to be part of Yuuichirou's plan to stop Rockman's transformation.

Rockman dives at the navis, but they counteract with their standard attacks (though they drew the Glide Cannon like a normal green Cannon). The operators also slot in chips (Dingo, Dekao, Yaito, and Meiru all get really pretty slot-in animations too... though Dekao's focuses on his shirt symbol, which emphasizes his jiggly man-boobs). Tomahawkman uses Blind, Gutsman uses Bug Bomb, Glide uses Voodoo Doll (couldn't make out it's Japanese name... Waraningo?), and Roll uses Grass Seed (couldn't quite make out IT'S Japanese name either...). Regardless, all the attacks hit and place Rockman into the black hole thing.

Inside the darkness, Rockman is absorbed by some purple energy. *Cue Beast Out bgm* The transformation changes into the Faltzer version. As he sprouts wings, he bursts back into the stadium. The four navis panic as their operators plug-them out, right before a devastating attack from Faltzer Rockman, leveling the entire stadium. Rockman then flies off, destroying buildings in his path.

Meanwhile, the butterfly girl is seen on a sidewalk, holding a PET beside a phone booth. In Net City, a bright golden sphere appears in the sky and surrounds Rockman. A female voice says something to him before, suddenly, Rockman and Trill are separated. Rockman drifts down to the ground as Trill giggles. Before he can drift down, though, a hand reaches out and pulls him back into the sphere. It vanishes as Netto screams Trill's name. Z-Pharaohman chuckles from afar.

Rockman lays motionlessly on the ground. Meanwhile, Blues continues deleting viruses. Enzan continues through a hallway with Blues help. Blues is standing in front of a large gash in cyber space as he begins to walk inside, surrounded by white light. Both him and Enzan are surprised at what they see (though we can't).

Outside the gash, Trill and a girl navi in blue (looks kinda like Slur) appear. She's kind and gentle and seems to want Trill to go in with her, but Trill is reluctant to. The gash begins to shrink when Z-Pharaohman suddenly appears before the two. The girl navi refuses to give Trill up, so Z-Pharaohman performs Beast Out. He sends a huge Stone Cube at them, but a Neo-Variable Sword Slash slices it apart and deletes Z-Pharaohman.

It's Blues! He steps out of the gash... but then it begins to close and vanish. The girl navi is very worried... Blues seems to ask at who the girl navi is, but enigmatically, she vanishes, leaving Trill in Blues's custody.

Back home, Trill reunites with Netto. Netto thanks Enzan and Blues for returning Trill to him. Enzan mentions Beyondard... I assume the gash lead there... and then they seem to mention something about Trill being from Beyondard. Trill mentions Rockman... who is still unconscious from the activities. He rests in Sci-Lab, healing... and the butterfly girl is seen standing outside of the lab.

Meanwhile, Z-Pharaohman returns before Grega (I thought he was deleted)... he says some stuff, and then he falls to pieces (oh, now he's deleted). Grega growls and the credits roll.

FINAL WORDS
So, yeah, my summary sucks. Feel free to add any clarifications in terms of dialogue and what-not... I'm really glad that the characters are all getting really pretty Ishihara plug-in/slot-in sequences. I always hated how Axess and Stream would give a couple characters good ones, then one bad artist would do one just because he/she happened to do the episode, and then they'd reuse that same lame sequence. (I'm wondering why they decided to emphasize Dekao's flubber so much lately, though.)

NEXT WEEK
Nonetheless, next week's episode is looking more visually appealing. Rockman is still healing, that blue girl navi seems to approach him with Trill, the butterfly girl enrolls in Netto's class, Mariko is seen with a gray Progress PET, Higure is spying on her, Numberman runs into his doppelganger (the color scheme alteration: light sea-green instead of green, slightly duller orange, and white instead of creamish white), the two Numbermen battle, Meiru seems to brag about something beside Dekao, Yaito, and Tohru, Roll merrily fires a Roll Arrow at the camera, Aquaman stands by Iceman as he makes an Ice Cube, Trill runs happily, and the butterfly girl stands outside her new class 6-A, looking sad, before walking away.

Good sumary for a good episode I think the best part was trill and blue girl navi scene. Note the spoiler tag is for what I think the scene was saying from what I observed, I only spoiler tagged it because it well I just feel it should because some people might want to read a summary and then watch before hearing someone's idea about a certain scene.
[spoil:2566948904]She said something along the lines that he must return to were he belongs(kaerimasu) and she was trying to explain that if he didn't he might not have another chance because the rip is sealing. Or something to that extent, I think that is what she was saying. Trill for one wasn't surprised, or scared of her, I wondered why but then heard what he was refering to her as.... Oneechan which is japanese for older sister, and he kept mentioning Rockman, and I think he was saying something like Not until I say good bye to Rockman, Because he didn't seem to be refusing to go just that he didn't want to because of Rockman.[/spoil:2566948904] Not that spoiler part is based on my rough japanese skills, there facial expression/tones/body gestures of trill, and Blue girl navi.

Very Very good episode though I was hoping to find out eithe blue Girl navi's name, or BCG's name. BUt the later should be revealed next week, other wise that would be messed up. "We have a new student today, please introduce your self." "My name is not important." that would totally bite, her not revealing her name till after they release the game, that would really bite.

Lots of dialouge points missing...

I was mostly interested in the girl's interest with Netto. She's not so much interested in exactly who Trill is, but more of Trill's relationship with Rockman. This is what she asks of him when they first meet.

Girl: Hikari Netto-kun...?
Netto: Who are you...?
Girl: (some pip about Enzan), you are Rockman's operator....the Rockman that Trill is with....
Netto: How can it be that you know Trill?
Girl: Please...tell me....what is Trill to Rockman?
Netto: What the....I guess, like a brother....

I absolutely loved this episode, Beast Out Greiga is a treat to see. I think the girl's navi looks like a power ranger though. XP

[edit] The scene between the girl and Trill:

Trill: Where is this, onee-chan?
Girl: Do you remember me and this place?
Trill: Somehow.....Rock....Rockman....where has Rockman gone? Onee-chan, where is Rockman?
Girl: Trill, let us return. To the other world...
Trill: Eh? No....I don't want to! Trill doesn't want to!
Girl: You won't be alone...I will be with you.
Trill: No! No! No! I don't want to go!
Girl: Trill....
Trill: No! I want to go where Rockman is!

and then Pharoahman butts in. XP

That girls navi is a bit wierd.

I don't understand how Rock and Trill were separated. Does this girl have magical powers or something?

Trill still acts like a baby IMO. Cept he can talk. Babies can't.

That girl may not be human and might be a being that can freely digitized herself or materialise herself. I dunno, just making wild guess since the new girl navi and her have voices that sounds so alike.

Trill acts like a baby still because he is now a toddler navi or so that is what he appears to be. As for the seperation from the way I can tell is it is Trill's "Onee-chan's ability, the yellow sphere, then a giant invisible hand.

So I got part wrong about the dialouge between trill and blue navi but what I had put down like I had said was mainly guess work. Yes Seiko did miss the important dialouge but he is human, and humans make mistakes, and forget stuff.

Hmm I agree that this episode's art quality was really poor. Not much towards Greiga-Rockman, but OH MY GOD what are those facial expressions? Yuichiro looked like he had his face repeatedly kicked. The art was kinda good 'till the previous episode, what happened? :puku: Animation was pretty piped down too. I smell another "Stream". T_T

I was quite neutral towards the new "flowery" Navi, I expected her to be a sort of new Slur, but she's SO ugly! And I don't think she's all that strong if she takes cover when Z-Pharaoman appears. :eyes:

I believe Gutsman and Tomahawkman were plugged into Internet City so that they can look for spices.... eh, I'm only 50% sure on that one.

I thought the episode was okay; not as good as episode 6 though (that one had me on the edge of my seat a couple of times). I agree about the art being off. The outline of Netto's eyes looked a little too thickly drawn among other things. Still it did amount to a decent episode (with no CF suprisingly). I hope we learn more about girl and her navi next episode; I'm curious about her.

i really liked the last episode better. i kept noticing how all the character's faces looked half deformed or something -.-;;

as for the new Navi, she looks like some cross of a flower and a beetle. im not very happy with her design. she is the butterfly clip girl's Navi isn't she???

Well... Seems that the theories saying Colonel and the BCG were wrong... At least, BCG has a nice Navi. The only shame is that her helmet covers her eyes... Maybe it's on purpose, maybe if her face was entirely seen we would immediately guess something.
I think BCG and her Navi could have made a nice CF... Won't happen certainly

A good episode in my opinion. Pretty fights and scenes. My favorite scene was the one, when Rockman transformed in to the Falzar form, even though I like the Greiga form a little more.

Just finished watching the ep.

Haha... Bubbleman makes an appearance and makes everything go wrong.

Besides the not-so-good-animation which I actually found really good when they showed BCG both times, this epi was good. Although Tohru had a great spot to fit in this episode..... Sad

as the rest of the EXE cast (including Dingo) were in it.

I actually like BCG's navi. It's desgin is different.

Now next episode I'm looking forward to. And Netto seemed pleased to see BCG on the desk next to him. + We get to see Tohru (Yaaaayy..... *cough*). And did I see the Numberball chip? :!

Not a bad epsidoe, though I wish the animation were better. It was interesting to see Rockman Greiga breath fire (never really thought about it). Also I was hoping Phaorohman would last longer or atleast be deleted in an actual fight not some cheap shot. Oh well, I wonder if any of the Greiga Footmen survived.

Like most said earlier on, the animation wasn't all that great like the previous episodes(sometimes they look very akwardly drawn =P).

Also, the part where BOG Rock breath out fire looks like something the BOF should have done. Really looks weird for BOG to do it...
