Rockman; just a standard navi with a few appearance changes?

As I went through playing the games, I realized that, without Battlechips, StyleChanges, Souls, Crosses, etc. That Rockman really doesn't have any skills that other navis don't have (Other than his standard charge shot.) Does Rockman have anything exclusive to him other than that?

Style changes, crosses, and souls are his abilities.

I don't see any other navi having them.

If Blues didn't have anything either, he'd be normal as well.

I'm saying instead of having uber kickass attacks, he uses other navis' powers.

Well that's Megaman for yuh. Ever since I began watching the Classic Megaman cartoon show, I've known that Megaman relies on other people's powers. Like a "Copyman". <_<
Though, if it counts, the "bond" between him and Netto is a power that I haven't seen any Navi done. At least I don't think so. Anyone remember the end of MMBN5? Remember the cutscene that happened after you beat the last boss? If only he could use that power anytime ...imagine the chaos :]

You forget that Rockman is designed to be operated with battle chips, whereas Blues isn't. If you remember the first game Enzan says that he's a stand alone Navi. Other Navis tend to have two attacks, which one could consider to be the same as Rockman, he has a Charge Shot and his normal buster.

This has only seemed innadequate since EXE 4.5, where you could operate the Navis so they had to tone them down to make it a similar difficulty, and then in EXE 5 to keep it challenging.

For the most parts Rockman has actually had pretty different abilities to Navis. It's also this flexibility which allows him to be such a powerful Navi, as anyone who's played EXE 5, and hence Liberation Battles with other Navis ought to know.

Megaman is just a super normal navi, with a custom appearance, without battlechips and souls, he is as weak as a normal navi, although he has an unusually strong charge shot, what i wonder is how Darkmega is able to have those strong navis as his enforcers, does he gain any new attacks after spliting from the original Megaman

also in the games rockman appears to be the good only navi that can use dark chips

stlye change was not his power ( the pogramm was from yumland )

saito style/ bat awakens some of his hidden powers

also soul unision is a power only rockman can use [/spoil]

The difference is Megaman was oce human. Megaman has a soul and he can copy other navis.

Seems nobody mentioned that Megaman was the only navi designed off of Human DNA.

No need for spoilers for that, it's been known since EXE 1.

At any rate no other Navi has the Charge Buster, they do different things with their Charge Shot. In EXE 1 it was quite powerful as well, after obtaining the Saito Bat from Yuuichiro Rock can do 96 Damage with a full charge, so don't laugh at it.

About Dark Mega, the reason he can use Dark Chips is because he has been infused with the power of a Dark Chip, and the Dark Soul is a further expression of this.

All Navis will always seem stronger than Rock because they have to water him down to make the game challenging. After all, who'd play if you could do 100 Damage + with Charge shot and had a regenerating Dream Aura?

they will never make Rock as strong as he is in the anime, able to kill a metaur with a normal buster shot. C'mon that would make the game too easy, he only seems to have trouble against navis in the anime, he can destroy almost any virus with a single buster shot.

I know one thing though, he has an ultimate program unless that was only anime-wise, then blah.

Anyways, pwning viruses with one buster shot will bring the end of the game. =D

The only thing that seperates Megaman from a normal navi is his Get Ability Program, just like Bass'.

Ummm.. Rockman doesn't have Get Ability program ^^
With Get Ability you can even Record Chip Data and use it anytime you want. Rockman can't do that :D

I think that he is better than normal ones in other ways. I like to think that his stats(strength, speed, etc.) would be higher if they were rated. I believe that in a no weapons battle he could take most navis. By the stats thing, you could use his battle with skullman as an example. Skullman had the advantage of awesome speed, this is completely unrelated to chips and the like. Megaman is the same way; he just doesn't use special attacks.
