Don't you remember old school anime, for example

Outlaw Star
Ronin Warriors (my absolute all time fav!)
Trigun (one of the best anime ever)

I mean, yeah, most people don't watch them or ever talk about them anymore, but old school anime is still somewhere deep in our hearts.

One day we'll all search deep and find it...

...you consider those to be "old-school"? ._. Weren't they airing, like, two years ago?

When I think "retro" I think...Voltron. Ronin Warriors. Astroboy. Shows that actually have a 10 year+ tenure, you know?

Based on my observations, I think that 'Samurai Pizza Cats' and 'Sailor Moon' ought to be considered classic and old school animes at the same time. *__^

Sailor Moon is certainly approaching the old school placement. For me, though, some of my personal favorite "old school" anime is Speed Racer and Project A-Kon. There was also this cool OVA that I swear was named "Robby the Robot," but that's apparently those little yellow robot piggy-bank toys that eat your quarters (which I had one of too)... So, alas, I can't remember the name of the anime. The little robot dude had a television screen on his stomach... at one part, he used it to make a bunch of animals materialize for his "girlfriend". He also has a little helicopter on the top of his head to move around. Through the OVA, there was a bad guy with two girl partners (a black one with an afro and a blonde one) who were after this robot (I swear his name was Robby!). I remember a part where the enemies kidnapped him and forced him to play some extreme tennis... The movie also had this giant world race with a ton of robots from all over the world. It's a really funny anime... if only I remembered the name... We have it on tape somewhere, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone taped over it...

Street Fighter and the classic Megaman... I remember those, back when I didn't even know what anime was. I don't remember enough of them to make a full episode, but I remember watching them.

The first anime I saw when I did know what anime is, was Pokemon.

One of my FAVORITE old school anime was Outlaw Star. T_T It had action, adventure, drama, comedy, and occasionally, some romance. When I heard it was going to be cancelled, I was, "WTF!? NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NOOOOO! :grr: I know a lot of people who would give anything to get it back. Cancelling it was just...savage.

For me it was Pokemon and Cardcaptors. I've also seen a couple of episodes of a show called Kimba the White Lion (don't ask).

That was like the ONLY show that required me to use my brain. Lol, I loved the suspense and I always tried on guessing who the culprit was. I was wrong most of the time...until the episode with Moonlight Sonata. I find that music very creepy now. This show was great but once you've seen it, there's no suspense or mystery the second time you watch it. Sad It's pretty much a 1-timer.

I remember watching Speed Racer when I was a kid. It bored me. There were times when I liked it, though. My favorite oldschool anime would be Ronin Warriors. Even though I haven't watched it in years, I still know how the story went and how they fell 1 by 1 near the end. Another thing that's stuck in my head are their attacks. For example:
Thunder! Bolt! Cut!
Arrow Shock Wave! (with Rowen's accent)
Flare Up Nowww!!!
I pretty much memorized most of their attacks. :/
