Neko's Request Thread: Midnight's Request

Shuuko watched her navi skip around the computer happily, jumping from net panel to net panel and singing a non sense cheer to himself in a soft voice. “Aquaman,” she called out to the child like navi.

“Yeessss!” he called out in a cheerful voice.

“Can you go get me something from internet city?” she asked.

“All right!” he cheered and jumped into his PET. “Get, get!”

Shuuko smiled and transferred the chip data to her navi and then she gave the information for the order. “Be back in a half hour please,” she told him.

“All right,” Aquaman giggled and linked out into the net.

Shuuko sighed and leaned onto the counter. She stared into space with misty eyes as she thought about her life over the past few months. Everything had happened so quickly and so much had happened. Before she was called the demon of the area, her life was lonely and cold but for some reason a few people decided to be nice to her.

She smiled as she remembered the first few weeks at Higure’s shop. She felt so happy that someone had finally been willing to accept her for who she was soft voice and all. Aquaman was more then happy to run around helping Numberman as much as he could even if he was to short.

After her dad left, life had been so hard. Her mom worked so much that the care and uptake of her brothers was left to her and it was so hard at first. Eventually she became used to her new way of life but it was still very difficult. Even though she received Aquaman to help her with her new duties as a consequence of what happened she still remembered the days before her dad left with longing.

Her quiet demeanor was really more of a façade then anything else. It was simply easier to be quiet, not say anything and let the people around her answer her questions and problems before she even had to say anything. Of course Aquaman knew that she had things to say and many a night she lay away telling all her dark secrets and troubles to the navi. As odd as it seemed, she sometimes could swear the navi understood her and felt sorry for her, although it could have just as easily been a figment of her imagination.

Higure had become something of a father to her in the past few months. Something she desperately needed and something the man, albeit apprehensive, was more then happy to provide. Everything he had done for her she was very grateful for, and that’s what it ended up coming down to. Gratefulness.

“Shuuko?” a voice asked.

“Hm?” she said snapping her head up.

Higure peered at her over his glasses. “Are you all right?”

Shuuko gave him a broad smile. “Yes!” she replied. “Aquaman is getting our order for the week.”

Higure smiled, “Good.”

Shuuko stood up and gave the man a quick hug. Higure blinked, stood stock still and watched as Shuuko went into the back to restock some extra chips. “Thank you,” she said in a quiet voice.

Higure stood puzzled for a bit, then smiled. “No problem,” he answered and took his place behind the register.

Aww...that was sweet.

This was a bit shorter than I had expected, and it seemed kinda detached--it seemed a rather general overview of her past. Perhaps that was my fault, since my request was rather vague, but I still enjoyed reading this. I liked how you set up Higure as a father figure for her--even if he's the absentminded nerd at times, he's definitely someone that a person of Shuko's stature could look up to.

Roll, honey, I update a fic ONCE A DAY. I also have... 8 or 9 fics. Guardian Angel will get updated when I loop around to it.

Also, I RARELY if ever drop my fics. So, chill kay? It'll get updated eventually.

Pretty much got the same opinion about it as Midnight... seemed a bit short and detached, but it was a really nice piece still. I dunno exactly why, but I liked the last little bit with Shuuko thanking Higure a lot.

You did a really good job on my request, it was almost exactly how I was hoping it'd be and you kept them very well in character for the situation.

EDIT: You said you wanted some story line.
Rockman is deleted,Netto is derpressed,Meirus with Netto,and Poor little
Roll is just as depressed as Netto but doesn't even have any support from
Rock like she usually does, she goes to teh UnderNet and plans to delete
herself but DarkRockman stops her for some odd reason.

Okay i better stop or im gonna end up writing it myself -_-; -_-;

Edit: Okay, I think such a fic is going to take quiteeee a while to develop, so if my first suggestion can't be done, I'll withdraw my request. Sorry, Neko. Is it okay for you to do a one-shot about Laika getting in trouble for a messy room? I've always wondered if Laika could truly stay organized. Sorry for the hassle, Neko.

Anou, if it's not too much trouble, could you write a BluNett where they get stuck in a DA room (or someone--like Enzan & Yaito--locks them in)? If not, it perfectly fine; I see that you have many more requests from many people far more deserving than myself.

HOKAY, new policy here people and I'm sorry I have to resort to this but tough love.

Starting today I am creating a 'Black List' where if I think you have NOT read my rules and THOUGHT about them before requesting, I will ban you from reqesting. I will list the names in the first post, should this occur but I pray it doesn't.

When I say "Keep charachter reqests in charachter and down to a ONE SHOT legnth," I mean it. If it needs 5 or 6 chapters of development before it happens then I can't write it. Sorry. Also, don't request the same thing OVER and OVER from me. Variety is nice people.

I like romance fics but to many can be tedious, think of something other then PersonxPerson, okay? Use proper spelling and grammar when requesting from me as well.

Lastly, I'd like to say this. If you have ANY doubts about a request, PM me first, okay? I will tell you privately and kindly if I'm willing to accept it.
