heh heh heh...
I love this manga... too hilarious for words... I saw the preview in Shonen Jump... I love it... They kept in a lot of it... they did only take out the repeating joke about the "no-panties danger" and replaced it with a "It's a sky high- ummm... Nightclub!" repeated... Pretty good ^_^
Black Cat preview next month ^_^
I think they're planning to release Jump Superstars... that's why they are on a licensing mission...

*blinks* They had a preview in Shounen Jump? o_o
Better be getting that one then...
Haven't read it for a while, but Gintama's one of my favorite shounen jump manga currently.
Any info on the anime? I heard a little bit about it, but I don't know many details... |

Gintama rocks! I haven't gotten my Shounen Jump yet, so I haven't seen the preview, but I've read all that's on the net and I loved it! Hopefully Viz will pick it up... Black Cat preview next month! Nice!!

They didn't license it, they only put it in to see if anyone was interested. If no one is, they won't get it. Plus, there's still some manga in JSS that may never be licensed...
It's only an OVA, Starman, and it's going to be shown at Jump Fiesta 2006. I think that's sometime in December, I forget~. The voices are on ANN, though.
EDIT: Looks like it will be the 17th-18th of December~. They're also gonna show a new Bleach OVA and an Eyeshield 21 OVA. Yay, Bleach~!

I found out the other "edit"
in the fan scalations, when Otae is learning how to work, instead of the guy yelling, "You have to make a valley with your breasts!" They changed it to, "A Big SMILE!" XD Then instead of Shinpachi saying, "Do you still have your panties on, sis!?" They changed it to, "Are you finished with your orientation yet!?"

EDIT: XD they kept in this dialogue after Gintoki tries to protect the siblings:
Shinpachi: You're right, He's Back!!
Otae: It must have been tough for him, toughter than he thought!!

I use Gintoki quite often in Jump Superstars, but beyond that I have no clue about the series at all.
I highly doubt they'd liscense the game because there's tons of mangas Viz Media won't even touch. |

It probably would have been different if they hadn't shown it in SJ first... I don't like how Viz is toning from manga down... SJ has gotten a lot more tonned down than from when it first started... Actually, Viz in general has.

Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, for one. The series has 145 volumes in Japan and is still going... If they can't even get all the volumes of Shaman King out by the time I'm 30, then there's no way they could ever release that >.>;.

Yeah... I was expecting to laugh so hard in class about the panties comment, but NO... I'm stuck with some uberly toned down repeating joke about the "um, nightclub"

I loved the preview in Gintama. Funny and dramatic at the same time, as well as several genre's rolled into one. They better release it in English soon. My favorite part in the preview was: "You only defended us for one page!!!" "Shut up! One page is a long time for a manga artist!"

I never got my issue, but I did get my February issue o.O;. Something like this happened to me a while ago with another volume... A printing error, or something. Anyway, I do hope that the manga was popular. Because of their printing the first chapter, the only people actually scanlating the manga stopped under the impression that Viz had licensed it. It would be a shame for them not to take it up, then I would have no way of reading it with understanding =\.
