|
|
I figured I'll pass this info to everyone
Around 2:38pm EST today (12/4/05) while watching Billy & Mandy on Cartoon Network, I saw a new Megaman commerical
Capcom made a commerical to adverisite the upcoming Megaman X Collection, along with Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team and Megaman Zero 4
The commerical featured a Mother talking about her son (short lil head head porky fellow) talking about her son playing Megaman here and there and everywhere, showing the kid playing X Collection and Battle Network 5. Then they show the Boxes for the games saying X Collection is coming in January then showing Battle Network 5 Double Team and Megaman Zero 4 which the catch line "There's a Megaman for Everyone". Then it showed the boy's Grandma P.O.wing him (lol that's for you PO :p )
At least it wasn't as bad as the previous Megaman commericals, but why did they adverisite Zero 4 when they didn't show anything for it. Though it looks like Capcom seriously want to promote the X Collection, which is good, cuz I'll buy it for sure
anyone else see this, or wanna share your thoughts? _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

Oh yeah I saw that. I want X collection. (I just hope they don't screw it up between consoles like the classic.) |

classic wasn't that bad for me. for some reason, it's kind of easy for me to change controls. unless it's a game i've been playing for years. that's just plain hard. _________________ just call me xfyre. not xfyrethespooky. |

Indeed. In the case of Classic, I've been playing it that way as long as it's been around.
And if anyone can get me an encode of the commercial, I'd like to throw it up on MMN and credit whoever gets it to me.

Yup I too saw that when I was recording my mm episode. I thought it was a kick ass advertisement because it is never recognized that often and it finally has been. if my grandma played it, that would be somthing to see. _________________

Make sure you're not watching NT Warrior to get the commercial; as far as I know, there's some sort of law(so I hear, anyway) that prohibits advertisements for a show's products during the show itself. I thought it was rather stupid, myself, but...
Anyway, I saw it during Viewtiful Joe myself, never seen it during MegaMan.

That's a lame rule, I guess it's too avoid product placement or so the show doesn't look like toyetic garbage, yet I saw a commercial for B-daman during B-daman?
And I only see Zatch Bell commercials during Adult Swim?
Honestly I wish we just got the japanese ads with english subs, but I guess people are too lazy to read, so it will never be done. My favorite MM commercial is the one for the first game. |

Well, they did bring some Japanese Kirby commercials over, edited for English text and names and such... don't see why that couldn't happen for Mega Man...

The Japanese Kirby commercials were dialogueless for the most part, so it was okay to bring over.
The current commercial is at least better than that Blue Bomber because he's blue junk... |

No complaints on the new one here. As for the Rockman commercials, a lot of them seem to lack dialogue as well, at least from the characters...

We're close to having actual Mega Man commercials, but I think this commercial was silly, not as bad as the
"Mega Man is so cool, he has a blaster that goes *Fart noises*"
"HE'S THE BLUE BOMBER BECAUSE HE'S BLUE!!!11"
I still remember a LONG time ago, in fact, I think PO will be the only ones to remember the Mega Man legends commercial imported from Japan
Why can't they do that anymore? _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

I don't recall an imported one, but I definitely remember one with Legends...

No commercials for Products of the Same Series as being shown, and no more then 14 minutes of commercials per hour on weekdays, 13 1/2 on weekends I think.
But I always see ads that involve related series, but it also includes other series promos in the same ad, oh well, if the wanna get arrested, they can go right ahead =P
This ad sounds..weird, _________________ You have your Navis, your Crazies, then you have your Shamanic Enzans |

I remember the Legends commerical, that was the closest to a actual MM commerical in the states, it was well done, even though it lasted for about a minute.....Might have it on a old VHS tape somewhere.....
Though shoot a remember a long long time ago for a Megaman X2 promo on TV, heh, remember watching ol school WWE, Monday Night RAW and they would plug and show short clips of things during commerical breaks that sponsored the show and Megaman X2 was one of them, they showed off the box of the game and talked about it a bit. Now that was suprising
