Because I only got to see the last 14 minutes, the episode was a little confusing and fast-paced. And Mari/Mariko's voice actor was well... a little young. Ah well... It was nice action and fun. My favorite is when Yuriko explains everything, because I like to see the answers to the questions.

I will NOT miss this episode. I WILL ditch band pratice to watch this one. I don't care if I get push ups from my section leader. It's worth watching the episode.

Dekao had a nose bleed once, but they colored it black...

So, at first I thought all of this Duo stuff was absent in the original, because it sounded like the EXACT SAME THING (Stream spoilers: [spoil:7aabc421f0] Wily tells Netto and Enzan at the beginning of Stream[/spoil:7aabc421f0])... but I just rewatched it and I can clearly hear all this "Duo," "probe," and "Wily" non-sense I was apparently deaf to my first play-through. Oh well.

I expected a lot of edits. Violence between navis is one thing... they can get torn limb from limb and it's more acceptable because, well, they're just computer data. But when danger among real people... real danger that could be mimicked by children with less imagination... is portrayed, I understand the need to edit. Even so, the edits weren't that bad. As Kirbopher mentioned, the implications of death were present...

... all but one, which kinda irks me with a slight inconsistency. That added news report narration the last second or so of the episode says that Misaki "mysteriously vanished," but we all know from Stream that [spoil:7aabc421f0]he was found and was in a coma for a while[/spoil:7aabc421f0]. A slight error they can probably easily fix with a bit of editting and rewriting, but it slightly irks me nonetheless...

That and the quality of the paint jobs was just horrid. I mean... people are actually getting paid to cover a handgun with that fugly MS-Paint-quality blue-and-red thing?! I could pull a better neural disruptor out of my nose with chopsticks while playing Dance Dance Revolution. And the blue boobs for Yuriko was just... gratuitous. I truly can't figure out the purpose of the recolor... I mean, her boobs are still pointy. Besides, pointy boobs are just extra marketting for Madonna. Why does Viz have to take that away from her, huh?

Nah. The episode was actually handelled very well aside from the bad paint jobs. It's a shame I'm going to miss tomorrow's episode. Gotta put bread on the table, donchyaknow.

I speak from experience that owning a VCR does not automatically guarantee the ability to watch any program, any time. I've sat down with my VCR four times, manual in hand, and I still can't program the blasted thing to automatically start recording. I need TiVo.

Why is it so hard to program a VCR? I can do mine. But I would like Tivo as well. Tommorrow a lot of emotion. Hopefully.

It broke down on me months ago. It can't record anything right.

Did it ever occur to you have not every VCR is programmed the same?

The episode seems to be going pretty good so far, but I can tell there's a LOT of added dialogue, though I guess it's to help keep people understand what the hell's going on. Also, Sharon Alexander plays Kid Chaud in the flashback.

I'm going to have a heart attack seeing how many posts are made about Chaud's father not appearing.

But the rest of the episode was good....Right?

Oh wow, you're right. I didn't even REMEMBER his appearanace until I just saw your post XD Well, considering that, I guess that means it's not a big deal to me, but I'm guessing it was cut because of them showing his Mom's Grave. I DID like the Little Chaud flashback, and the big scene where's Protoman's brought back to normal seems to've stayed prettymuch intact. Not a bad episode overall, tommorow we have the long awaited Dark vs. Dark Surprised

Sigh, I missed it... I really wanted to see it too...

We really need to hook our VCR back up so that it can record, but my family isn't very technology savvy.

Well, at least I'll see the finale on Friday...

Okay, seeming I only saw the spoiler video on how Chaud fights Dark ProtoMan... I gotta say, there were some scenes where I was like "Holy s***... they kept that in! Holy s***! They kept that in too!" So... I only noticed 2 edits from the small clip I saw on the spoiler section on the site. They cut Chaud getting hit with the dark sword... thingy into the ground... just skipped right to where his glasses break, and where Dark ProtoMan disolves. They show Chaud getting hit with blaster bolts and cut up with sonic booms... but they can't show Dark ProtoMan disolving? Other than that... I wouldn't know if it was cut up.

Edit: Oh, and CF Dark ProtoMan choking (spelling?) Lan was cut too... I forgot about that.

I don't know if it was as emotional as the first original... the others could tell you that.

Well, I thought this episode was handled well enough. They edited out the stuff I expected them too (such as most of the scenes of Dark Protoman holding Lan up by the neck) but the scenes between Protoman and Chaud were done pretty good, I think. I know the ending was certainly touching enough, even if a little choppy ^^; Without having seen the original (although I do have a general gist of it) I'd have to say this one was handled about as well as we can expect for the dub. Whether that's good or bad to most people, I don't know. I know I liked it well enough.

...Not to mention the bestial sound effects given to Protoman after the Cross Fusion just added to my "o___O" factor in seeing him all fang-ful and such ^^;

they cut out some things, the part where chaud gets hit with the neo vari sword & his visor breaks, they cut that, they cut protoman disintegrating, there was one part where lan got blasted & it like circles out to the protoman chaud scene, was that in the original, or was that dub exclusive, & the goldish aura when lan is grabbing his insignia, was that in the original, id appreciate any of you that have scene the original & just watched the dubbed one to please put all the edits & changes that you noticed!!!! the swords were obvious though...lol

His Dad probably wasn't introduced because "they don't want kids knowing Dads can be really mean," or something like that.

Ah, well. I suppose the ep was good in the fact they kept in the violence, especially Chaud getting cut up.

They left that in...

I can just see the ChaudxProtoman fics down at FF.net.
