Axess was a surprise because of the intense violence and tone difference in comparison with the original EXE. Many of us didn't think they'd be able to show it on Kids' WB, especially since ShoPro seemed a lot less lenient with their dubbing of EXE. So, Axess getting dubbed? Yeah, that shocked some of us. But now that they've shown ALL of Axess can be shown on Kids' WB, there's no reason not to expect the same of Stream and Beast and whatever comes next...

I guess it was more of the surprise that it was not AS edited as people thought it be then...

I was crying. The episode was originally an angsty one. But it wasn't.

My god, the music throughout it was horrible. It was completely misplaced. It completely ruined the original mood. I have no words for it that would be allowed here. Honestly. The main theme playing when Enzan was hugging Dark Blues? I do like the music itself in the begining, but it doesn't belong there. Victory fanfare right afterwards? Oh sure, it was a light ending, but dear god, play sorrowful but happy music!

I am mad at the crap-techno the EXE dub has to offer.

Edit: And as I quote Mad TV, "Lawn chair does not go inside. It doesn't fit!"

Your not the only one Malik. I was pretty pissed about that one too. It reminds me of the Fanfare I have to play for band. Annoys me A LOT.

I like how in the Mariko/Yuriko episode, they edited out the gun. They colored it purple with polka dots. I laughed for about an hour after that. Oh well, at least they talked about Duo for awhile. That episode finally made sense because it was in English. Go Kids WB. ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

Yeah, I was a bit disturbed at how much more "positive" the dub made instead of how emotional the original scenes were. I didn't get that "long, meaningful journey" vibe I got when I first saw the episode.

I finally had the chance to dig through my DVR today and watch all the latest NT Warrior episodes. You know, watching this dub just really makes you appreciate the original so much more. I still think the dub is much better then the first 2 seasons of NT Warrior, but some moments in this Axess dub I just shake my head. It is fun hearing some of this dialouge though, considering I've never known the fine details of Axess' plot. I won't start dub bashing, but even with it's faults, the dub is still fun to watch, but I think that's mainly cause Axess was an excellent season and will always be fun to watch no matter how awful it's silly edits are.

As far as the music goes, it's just a hunch, a theory if you will, but I imagine that they might have had a limited budget to use on music and weren't able to make anything to match the Japanese part at the end. So they had to make do with what they've had in their library for the season.

This might lead to the question, why not use the Japanese music if they're the same company? All I know is, the Japanese can sometimes be real sticks in the mud on this sort of thing... even within their own company on both sides of the ocean.

It's a weird thing. Hopefully when I get some time freed up, I can dig in more. I'd have done my interview by now, but my contact info seems to have... well, gone dead. I suspect the ShoPro/Viz merger might be the reason. So I'll have to get back to digging for that.

Hey Ryouko, I don't suppose you've got a clip of the funeral part, do you?

I hope they redub it or at least put it on DVD!

Considering the only DVDs they've been making are that of the edited version...of the first two seasons, and are not even UP to AXESS...I wouldn't get my hopes up to any level.

Yeah, the dub version would be the same on the DVDs. Besides, I've watched a few unedited version episodes of 'Inuyasha' on DVD a few weeks ago. Man, I was surprised by how much 'dirt' the dubbing company left out in the TV broadcast.

I could tell from the flashes that there were a lotta cuts during the fight scene and during some of the explosions, but I REALLY liked the ending of the episode. Regal, Shademan, and even Bass' final words were all well written, and there was even a pretty nice new music track to boot. Tommorow's the last one, and I'm guessing people are ALREADY making theories for how Shademan's battle is going to go ^^;;

It's not like they got rid of the entire EXE soundtrack, the still use the Darkloid theme.

Bass's final words were very well written. That characterized the battle well.

[spoil:c6a38a35ce]I can't wait to see all the people who are expecting a good battle' faces when Shademan get's massacred. I also wan't to see how they did the deletion scene as well.[/spoil:c6a38a35ce]

shademans [spoil:8ac667c6c9]arms getting ripped out most likely will be cut like shadowmans being blasted off were, unless they actually had the guts to leave it since they left the gun scene from mariko & yariko in, they probly will make it seem like regal grabs him & like chokes him to deletion LOL that would suck though...[/spoil:8ac667c6c9]

meggirl63 - Not too well. x_x; This episode really wasn't too interesting, but it was okay.

.-. I will crack up if tomorrow's episode dies. I'd throw objects at my tv, though.

I didnt have much of a problem with the music in either version, because the both seemed somewhat fitting.

Which song would be considered to be the Darkloid song? If it is the song that plays in the Chaud vs Dark Protoman episode (english version) when Protoman makes a dimensional area, then I really like that song, it has a cool theme to it.

That is also the song that plays when the UFO things are capturing navis in the second to last episode (english)
