Megaman Axess Discussion *spoilers*

You know, I watched the episode yesterday, and I went in knowing the scene with Chaud's mom was cut. I wish I could have seen that, but in regards to the pentiultimate conclusion where Chaud faces ProtoMan...

... I didn't have any negative reaction to it. I had loads of issues with the original storyline, but it seemed to hold up as a decent scene on its own. Maybe it's because I've never seen the original in this case, but it didn't strike me as mismatched in terms of action and music.

Don't get me wrong. I wanted to see the bits from Chaud's past, and I wish they weren't cut. It's more the other parts I'm talking about, where Chaud makes Proto come around.

Maybe it has something to do with going in almost completely fresh.

The first one you're reffering to seems to be the english correspondent of the Dark Blues theme from the Japanese version. As for the second one, if you mean the dark, low-key chorus theme, that's Dr. Regal's theme from the Japanese version kept in.

I don't think I noticed any edits in Dark vs Dark. I hardly watch the original eps (I've only seen some of Stream) , the only way I tell if they cut out something, is by looking at the screen caps.

I downloaded Ryo's link, but I can't see any picture. The clip is showing a yellow exclamation point on the name, meaning there's a problem with it. Does anyone know whats wrong? The link to the media player problems in the FAQ section only brings up a pic of Elecman.... :O

They cut down ShadeMan's destruction of the city, actually.


Here's all the edits I noticed:

1:The pan up of shot of Chaud with an IV line in his arm is cut down to just the still shot of Chaud's upper body.

2: Yai's servants wheeling in gifts for Chaud is just trimmed down to the first guy who comes in with the flowers.


3:ShadeMan blowing up the Regal Petroleum Industry is cut.

4:The close-up shot of Regal's ship exploding before the pan out to the SciLab monitor is cut. In the dub, it starts from where everyone is watching the smoking ship at SciLab.

5:The scene of ShadeMan causing a stove at a Regal-owned resteruant to overheat, explode, and set the whole building ablaze is cut.


**Not really an edit, but when it shows ShadeMan standing on the roof watching the fires he has caused, in the original the camera zooms on him. In the dub, they reversed the footage and the camera pans away from him.

6: . In the original ShadeMan/LaserMan scene, ShadeMan attacks LaserMan right away after he speaks to him. He drives his hand through LaserMan's chest, but discovers its just a hologram. It shows close-up shots of ShadeMan and LaserMan speaking, then a long shot of LaserMan speaking with ShadeMan's hand stuck in him before he fades out.
In the dub, after LaserMan speaks for the first time, they show the close up shots of ShadeMan and LaserMan speaking first, then they show ShadeMan going into attack, then there's a white flash and it cuts to where LaserMan's hologram fades out.


7:ShadeMan blowing up "Regal Burger" is cut.


8:When ShadeMan blows up a building after tossing the car, there's a scene of a crowd of people running away as debris falls that's cut.

9:After ShadeMan blows up "Nice Shopping" there's another brief scene of a crowd running away that's cut. Also, there's a small scene of ShadeMan firing Noise Crush and shattering a building's windows that's cut.

10:When ShadeMan blows up more buildings using Noise Crush, there's a shot of them starting to crumble that's cut.

11:Chaud watching some more buildings blow up and collaspe on TV is cut.

12:A shot of ShadeMan blowing a train away and making more buildings explode is cut.

**R-Mega's Long Blade is incorrectly called LongSword in the dub.

13:The scene of Regal Tower appearing completly cuts out the original tower collapsing. It just shows Regal's Tower emerging. Understandable since the orignal scene is too similar to 9/11.

Yeah, that was noted in the Animation Errors thread.

I don't think today's episode was that bad, the the extra dialogue kinda killed the episode for me. Tomorrow's episode awaits, now.

In the english version of the Chaud vs Dark Protoman, did anyone else notice when Protoman used his sword to make the black wave attack Chaud, they cut out the part of the thing going through him, but when it shows the closeup of his face and the glass breaks, you can still see the black beam behind him that was supposed to go through him.

And Protoman's sword was dubbed to look more flashy in the English Version.

And I also noticed most of the dubs from the Dark vs Dark episode. I wish they would have kept more of the Noise Crush scenes, that is such a cool looking attack, and it looks much better now then it did when Shademan earlier used it against Crossfusion Protoman and Megaman on Dr. Regal's boat.

There were a lot of cuts. I wish I could see it in Japan. I like this ep despite the cuts. It was intresting to see all that stuff with the Rush syncro chip.

Todays episode was good.Since axess almost over.And kids wb really did not want to air the episodes.Do you think they will air stream in 2006 or will they just end it at axess?

The UFOs were smaller this time around, the one in Axess 2 loomed over the city Independence Day-style.

I liked this one, it did a very good job of setting the tone for the last ep.

Was the scene with Bubbleman kicking Lan edited, cause it looked very suspicious.

And they cut out 'Regal's Barger'... T_T

Basically, Enzan's father is being a heartless mofo about the mother's death. Tomorrow Enzan is to begin special net battle training for their company IPC. His new navi is waiting for him back at the house, whose name is Blues. Zoot. Just shows the whole kind of ground basis for Enzan's less than steller family life, and his first aquaintance with Blues.
