Yeah, my wife got both volumes of that horrifying collection of bad puns. The episode with Rockman X was alright, but that was the only one I was really able to tolerate. Don't know why they decided to make Blues work for Wily, but since that cartoon was made before the creation of Forte, I guess they did need some kind of a nemesis/rival for Rockman. Who else could they have used? Bubbleman? _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?
Caboose: I think so. That guy Tex is a robot, and you're his boyfriend. So that makes you... a gay robot.

Well, he DID used to work for Wily...
...and why does everyone keep using the Japanese names for the distinctly American versions of the characters?
The show definitely had its moments, though I'd like to have seen the way it was originally meant to be...
And if Dr. Wily and I can get our acts together, we'll try and bring more of what the show was meant to be to light.

I liked the Ruby spears toon sometimes...
When the robot masters actually looked like they were supposed to, that is.
.... you just don't give Air Man a face... you just DON'T....
and the way the characters fell apart every five minutes was retarded.
I still think Brain Bot is Number Man :3 _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

Just a small information:
After the last Epsiode with X the Creators of the series planned a sequel with X.
It was planned that this season starts with the Point where X returned to future, than the same thing should happen with what they told the audience how the story about Megaman classik was told, but there it should be X-Full-Story _________________ BakuRyuu Gattai!

They never really got past the "how about..." stage of planning, really, when Capcom brought down the axe on the show.
Bass, Zero, and all that stuff is pretty much just speculation. It might have been talked about, but that was it. Nothing was ever concrete.

Ah yes. I remember this Mega Man cartoon rather well back in the day, yet I had to get up really early just so that I could watch the episodes of a weekend. I loved all of the jokes that appeared in each episode and I enjoyed the banter between Dr. Wily and Protoman. Now that I look back on it, it does feel weird to see Scott McNeil speaking to himself during these kinds of scenes seeing that he did the voices of Wily and Protoman. The show did suffer a lot when it came to the continuity, but I still enjoyed watching it. Maybe one day I'll buy the entire series via the DVD collections. |

Sure it did. XD Wily was consistantly evil, Mega Man was consistantly super-awesome, etc... _________________ One of the three EXE sisters! *Armstrong-style pose*

Yeah, I own both volumes ADV release, but am unsure whether to keep them or not since I never watch it (I watched it after I first bought it, but never since). THe toon was good. A little bit corny, especially with lines like, "Wily, what's going on, we heard the silent alarm," but then you got great lines like, "Ohhhhh, I destroyed both MegaMan and his futuristic cousin... and that was on LOoooW power."
Godo stuff. Designs were odd, but oh well. _________________ Once I was Dr Kain, but I died and have been reborn as Gankutsuou. |

I really don't get everyone's beef with the silent alarm line...

*shrug* Because you can't hear a silent alarm? (Of course they're robots so maybe they did hear it or...wait....was it a robot who spoke that line? Okay yeah, ignore this part of the post XD; )
I actually rather like the old cartoon, despite the fact only a couple episodes are in recent memory. And the fact that the sight of some of the robots, like Snakeman, stirs up my automatonophobia ^-^;; But yeah, even with its infinite cheesiness and deep plotholes, and occasionally tweaked-nearly-beyond-recognition characters, the old cartoon has got a soft spot for me. And besides, I like the opening XD ^^ _________________

I bought both DVDs just to hear Scott McNeil's voice. :eyes: I really like the cartoon. Sure, it's extremely corny, but most shows were at the time. Also, I love laughing/yelling/crying at the Robot Masters redesigns.Geminiman, Toadman, what DID they do to you. Weird thing is that Quickman barely changed. Go fig.
The only thing that *really* gets on my nerves is Roll. She's all "I'm an independent woman that can do anything Megaman can do" yet the writers always make her screw things up..except in that future episode when she owned Cutman with the toast flying 60 miles/hr. XD Good times, good times.

Hmm. Another thing to add to my list. Those shows are so... bad. Yet that's what makes them so funny
I know that didn't make sence. I am very tired _________________

Read my link. Silent alarms are only silent in the place where they're tripped. If they were completely silent, then there'd be no point. ;P

Didn't see the link. Whoops ^-^; (I seem to be misreading/misviewing a lot of things lately XD)
Anyway, for those that're interested, the opener is at Rockman AMV (this page to be exact, unless I'm mistaken). As the site's run by REO people I think a lot of others might already know but eh, you never know who knows and who doesn't *shrugs* ^^; _________________

I guess that the writers wanted to have Roll depicted as someone who could be just like Mega Man only to wind up having her dreams crushed all because of making one simple mistake. Granted, I wasn't really fond of Roll in the cartoon as I felt that her character was much different from that of the games. She did seem rather independent of herself and that aspect drew me away from her. Now Gutsman was a favourite of mine seeing that he wound up getting involved in some rather humerous situations. |
