It doesn't look like Tomahawkman is going to get a name chance PERIOD. His name was kept in the games, and his name has been kept in the comics so far. I'd call that a good sign.

Also, Sean Schemmel doesn't NATURALLY sound like Goku, it's called a "character voice" people.

I can only think of the name changes they'll make to the next batch of characters. Not sure if I'll watch it though since I didn't really enjoy Stream until Dark RockMan came in. I might, but I was so happy Stream ended in Japan so I don't have to put up with freaking VideoMan anymore!! I hate that navi. I also didn't really like Neo-WWW.

Name predictions:

TomahawkMan becomes IndianMan... oh wait, that is still too questionable sounding. BraveMan
GyroMan becomes CopterMan
Medi will become Nurse

I can't even think of who else was introduced right now.

Well in the case of the comics, with the exception of Plantman and Beastman, who for some reason actually kept their names in the english manga, Viz usually uses names such as "Spoutman" and "Torchman" simply for continuity with the tv show. If Tomahawkman kept his name in the comics' official translation before he even made his appearance, then that's a good enough sign for me that he'll retain his name. Not to mention, all of the MAIN characters' NAVIs have kept their original names for the english dub, and since Tomahawkman and Dingo obviously are, that's even more reason. This is all speculation, and I'm not saying it's impossible for them to change his name for another completely weird reason, maybe you'll be right, but you gotta admit it DOES make a bit of sense.

Just because they change the names to a name with a lesser cool factor does not mean they will be absolutely stale or non-sensical. Braveman, Copterman and Nurse, sadly, fall into the latter category.

...Can anyone say SPINNINGGYROMAN?!?!?

Ah yes, the inevitable name changes. Even if Yamatoman does get changed to Japanman, at least they're keeping true to the name(Yamato being a traditional name for Japan) As for the others, as long as the name changes aren't too bad, and the voice actors suit the role I'll be happy.

Exactly, just like I said about the main characters before.

Also like I mentioned on the previous page, considering Bon Clay, the One Piece character who DEFINES "pink and gay" flamboyant anime characters, was left COMPLETELY intact...on a show that was dubbed by 4Kids of all people, I'd say Narcy should be the least of our worries.

As for Nenji, I still think he'll just be called Fyrefox. If there was gonna be any sort of problem with his name at all, then Capcom of America wouldn't've used the blatant Web-Browser joke to begin with. With Needlewoman, who knows. Maybe when they realize she has a few more appearances in the series from there on, maybe they'll be totally inconsistent again and leave her boobs uncolored in Stream.

There's no reason why they would have to explain Narcy's flat chested-ness if they were to do that. They'd just redo lines and hire a female voice actor.

After seeing how ShoPro handelled Yuriko's handgun and her boobs in her last Axess appearance, I have little confidence in their editting skills. I really doubt they could give Narcy a chest that looks convincing.

Now, characters like Sailormoon's Zoicite and later Fish Eye were changed to women in the dubs because they actually had on-screen relations with other men. Zoicite even disguised himself as Sailormoon once. Since they already looked and acted just like women, it was probably easier to dub them as women, not to mention it knocks out any controversy that may occur. But I don't see Narcy trying to get in Inukai's pants, so I doubt they need to cover up his gender.

Though, we have seen ShoPro make some pretty unusual cover-ups with the EXE dub in the past, so you never know. If the series moves to something like Cartoon Network (not impossible since Kids' WB loses it's weekday line-up this January), I'm sure we'll see a lot of gratuitous editting lifted from the series. But, anyway... Narcy never struck me as controversial to begin with... rather, he gives me the same impression as Pokémon's James, just... pinker. Though probably impossible, it'd be nifty if they had the same voice actor. That'd tickle my fancy.

But, again, only time will tell...

(On another note, this reminds me of when I first saw Laika. I thought he was a girl... though I somehow knew Narcy wasn't from the start.)

You got a point there Crimson. Although, I only thought of James as being just plain weird, not potentailly queer like Narcy... AND WHO THE HECK WOULD WANT TO GET IN INUKAI'S PANTS, ANYWAY!! *shudders*

I dunno, James' voice would seem a little too deep for me. But I definately relate Narcy's character to him, only a little more flambouyant. I don't think they'll need to make Narcy a woman if they dub it, which Chase pointed out that he may be girly, but he doesn't hit on any guys in the show.

You could argue that Lan and MegaMan's voices are too deep too. ^_^ But, yeah, James may be a little off on second thought. Say... how much you wanna bet they make Narcy French? Haha.

And you all see the way Narcy and Inukai argue. You know that when night falls, they want each other. (Actually, I only said Inukai because the writers always pair those two up. Saiko may be more Narcy's type. I better stop.)

(On the subject of James's voice actor, I read an interview with him once where he said he TRIED to make James sound a little queerish. Interesting...)

Well, with that, he mae James into one of the only reasons of why I'm STILL watching Pokemon despite the recent seasons being crappy...he's hysterical. Yay :D Then again, Eric Stuart's not in Canada and also isn't part of Ocean Group's Union, so that's also probably NEVER gonna happen, even if it would be extremely amusing.

That, and there's really nothing very 'innapropriate' about Narcy really. As you guys said, he's not actually GAY, he's just kinda girly and really really likes pink XD I'd say the makeup is pushing it a little bit, but even 4Kids, even more ridiculous with their edits and cuts, tend to keep cross-dressing/makeup wearing characters like James and Bon Clay prettymuch completely intact. It seems like one of the ONLY things from old fashioned Looney Toons-style comedy that seem to be kept in shows of today without the censors being so tight-assed about it, and that's why I'm confident about Narcy being kept as a guy.
