Questions about the timeline *possible spoilers*

I just went through certain episode summaries, and learned that Barrel lived 20 years before Netto's time. But isn't Yuuichiro the creator of PETs and Navis? 20 years ago, Yuuchiro would've been quite young; I don't think he would've managed to develop navis and PETs until he has enough experience and knowledge... right?

Also, Barrel uses the PET that first appears in Stream, if I'm not wrong. How did THAT happen?

I may be wrong; if so, please correct me. I don't know much about the series myself.

It's a plothole that's been known for a while now. It's the same reason child Enzan had an Axess PET.

It seems as though Barrel invented the Pet and Shuuseki Ijuin saw it and decided to make the Progress Pet later on.

Yuuichiro didn't make the first Navi, Tadashi did.

I think it was Tadashi who made both the net and navis. Brilliant isn't he? Yuuichiro picked off where his dad left.

Pharoahman was made by Tadashi, thus Yuuichirou couldn't have been the creator of navis. Pharoahman was made around 20 years ago too, wasn't he?

Perhaps Tadashi was the person who actually created an independent navi first (I believe during the associated EXE episode, it was stated that Pharaohman was the first independent navi, created by Tadashi), which implies that Tadashi is indeed the creator. However, it's likely at that time navis were rather unsophisticated and Yuuichirou was the man who advanced navis a great amount--a "Great Leap Forward," so to speak, so he would likely be the one remembered for it.

As for the Stream PET in Barrel's time, I don't think there's a better explanation than that it was a plot bunny. In general, whenever a series dabbles in a time-travel arc, there are bound to be lots of loose ends that are contradictions to whatever we believe as "fact." Don't concern yourself too much over it.
