Chapter 18: Chris and Gin; Escape Artists and Crossfusers!!

I thought the blast from Vulcan’s Erunoir spell would beat Moskau and Dschingis, but I was wrong. The came out of the smoke looking blackened, and very pissed off.

“Oh, you’re going to pay dearly for that.” Moskau growled. Dschingis nodded. “ Trotzdem Schon!!!”

Several huge, flaming wheels headed straight for me. I just smirked casually. “Is that all you’ve got? Pathetic.” I propped open my spellbook. “Blasheild!!!!”

Vulcan lifted up his hands, and the orbs in them glowed. Fire erupted from them and swirled around his arm. Then, a shield of fire enveloped us, bouncing the attack off.

“ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” Dschingis yelled. “These two are really annoying me!! Ich Sehe Was!!!!!!!!!”

A dark portal appeared in front of us, and pounded me and Vulcan with a dark beam of energy. We were also thrown back a lot of feet.

“Vulcan, these guys are tougher than they look!” I exclaimed. Vulcan nodded. “I don’t know how much more I can take!!”

Moskau laughed. “You were foolish enough to challenge us!! Now say good-bye!” Dschingis yelled out the spell. “Diese Stadt!!” A huge bolt of lighting zoomed down upon us.

A voice yelled out. “I think you should be saying good-bye!! Nekshiru!!!”

Large, glowing shuriken slammed into the lightning bolt, canceling it out.

I looked up. Chris!!

Chris

Moskau pointed a shaky finger at me. “B-b-b-but, my zombie sp-sp-spell was supposed t-to have dragged y-you down w-w-with the others!!!”

I chuckled. “Please. I used Gin’s Kawamari Magic. Let’s see if you can figure this out. My Mamodo is a ninja. A perceptible attack, from some kind of freaky nightclub dancer? You’re ‘zombies’ are probably strangling Chris’ plushie right now. And you thought you could beat me? Don’t make me laugh.”

“SHUT UP!!” Dschingis yelled. “I’ll give you something to talk about!! Moskau Moskau!!” Moskau took a deep breath, and when he let it out, a large mass of tornadoes headed for us.

I scoffed. “Pitiful. Tsukitotu!!” A silver shield appeared around me and Gin, and dissipated the tornadoes. “It’s time to show you what we can really do!” I whipped out my PET. “SynchroChip In! Download!”

When the light show ended, R Gin stood before Dschingis and Moskau.

“Fear the power of a ninja!! Z-Saber, BattleChip In!” I activated the chip, and disappeared.

Moskau looked around. “Where’d you go?!” “Behind you.” I said slyly. He world around, and I slashed him three times with the glowing, green saber.

“AUGH!” he yelled, thrown back. I smirked.

Django

Chris and Gin were better than I thought!! But I wanted to join in the party. I had a theory. I tried telling it to Taiyou through telepathy.

Taiyou, can you here me? Yeah, Taiyou responded. What’s your plan?

I told him my plan. That’s crazy! Taiyou said. It’ll never work!

I’m gonna try it anyway! All right, let’s see… I let out a stream of bubbles. Taiyou held out his hand, and a blast of sunlight ripped through the water ball. I fell out, gasping for air. “All right,” Taiyou said. “Let’s get some payback!!!”

R Gin

I was standing over a fallen Moskau. “Give up?” I asked.

Dschingis cried out. “We’re not licked yet!!” He pulled a chip out of his pocket. It was dark purple, with tints of black. In its middle was a crackling spark of pulsing, yellow energy. It looked just like—

“A Dark SynchroChip!! My boss gave it to us as a reward for completing our last mission. Get ready!!! Dark SynchroChip In! Download!!”

A purple aura enveloped Moskau and Dschingis. When it dissipated, Dark R Moskau stood before us. He went into a Viewtiful Joe-like pose. “Get ready…TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!”

Sorry it was short guys, but I'm trying to write as much as possible before Christmas. On that note, Feliz Navidad, everyone!!

Beacuse, even though Mamodos are living creatures, not AI intelligence like Rockman and the others, the gang went to Yuichiro's lab and implanted data into them making them similar to the Saito/HBD thing where Yuichiro converted him into Navi data. All the main Mamodos are 95% living, 5% data. And any data, no matter how small, can be affected by things like SynchroChips and Dimensional Areas. Therefore, the main characters can perform Crossfusion, and the Mamodos can also function as Navi's in PETs. Yuichiro also gave them the 5% percent data that he didn't put in. They put in their PETs and appears on the bottom-right corner of the PET, like the XtraCode in Nt Warrior. It allows them to go into Full-Synchro! But it can only be activated for no more than an hour. And while in Full-Synchro, the stakes are higher! They take twice as much damage, and it saps their energy while in it, even when doing nothing. But chips and PowerAttacks are doubled as well.

Whew -.- ...sorry it was so long, but I hope this clears everything up, DO!

Chapter 19: A New Team! They Appear!!! But Whose They?

???

I watched the battle between Dschingis, Moskau, Blake, Vulcan, Chris, and Gin with interest. “Hm…Chris and Gin seem to be…powerful. They could become the monkey wrench in my operation. What do you think, Futodoki?”

He raised his head. “You’re right. If they can defeat Dark R Moskau, they will certainly be a threat. Perhaps we should send in…them.”

I wrung my fingers thoughtfully. “You’re right. If they can’t beat them, no one can.” I pressed the intercom button on the console in front of me. “Attention all personnel, I need you to send in…them.” I heard many of them gasp. “B-b-b-but Lord…” one said. “You s-said not to send in th-th-them unless it’s an e-e-emergency!”

I slammed the console angrily. “ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THIS ISN’T AN EMERGENCY!!!!!!!!!???”

“No, Lord!!” the underling replied squeakily. “I j-j-just thought that…”

I flipped open a glass cover on the right arm of my chair, revealing a small red button. “Well you thought wrong.” I said evilly.

The worker pleaded, scared to death. “N-n-n-n-no, my Lord! P-p-p-please…”

I pressed the button. His scream of pain and agony was heard down the corridors. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” The intercom rang out. …HAS BEEN TERMINATED.

I closed the glass cover. “Now that they are on the job, we cannot fail. Heh, heh, heh…HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!”

R Chris

I panted heavily. “Damn, Gin…these guys are a lot tougher!!” Tell me about it, Gin said. I’m actually starting to break a sweat!! Dark R Moskau laughed evilly. “Fool! With the power of the Dark SynchroChip, I’m INVINCIBLE!!!!!”

“Oh, really?” A voice behind him said. “Saikou Taiyoh Rei!!” A blast of sunlight slammed Dark R Moskau in the back.

I looked behind him, and saw R Django. His hair had turned spiky, and the color of it was red, yellow, and orange. The emblem on his chest was a picture of the sun, with a big “D” in the middle. The goggles he always wore were over his eyes. The hand that had blasted Dark R Moskau was clenched so hard, the knuckles were white. It was still smoking from the attack he had just delivered. He pointed a gloved hand at Dark R Moskau.

“I’m gonna kill you for what you did to Kisoka and Kiyasume!!!”

Django

Dark R Moskau got up and brushed himself off. “If that pathetic Solar Ray is all you’ve got, YOU’RE SCREWED!!!!!” he screamed angrily.

I closed my eyes. “That’s not all I can do.” I said. Purominensu!!!! An arching column of gas appeared out of nowhere and burned into Dark R Moskau. “ARRRRGGGHH!!!” he yelled. The force was so strong, it blew him several feet back, and knocked him out of Crossfusion.

He got up angry. “No…how did you, but the Dark SynchroChip…and my power…”

“Is gone." said a voice behind us. Man a lot of people are appearing behind us, huh?!

We whirled around. The person who spoke looked…scary. The only way to describe it. His eyes were black and dark red. His hair was dark black, with a red streak going down the left side. He had a black cape, and black boots. Dark red lines were around his eyes, making them look like evil suns. An emblem on his chest was a picture of a coffin, and a small, mottled green hand was slowly pulling the lid off. He wore black gloves.

His Mamodo, standing behind him with a dark scowl, had hands the size of Taiyou’s, but his claws were razor-sharp, and about a foot long. His hair was dark green, and spiky. He had purple wings similar to Shade’s. His feet had claws as long as the one’s on his hands. He had a black cloak with red stripes down the middle. If it was nighttime, they’d be invisible.

“You’ve failed, Dschingis. Our Lord Kagaikon does Not. Tolerate. Failure.” the dark boy said evilly.

Dschingis pleaded with the boy. “No, Sir, please!! Give me another chance!”

The boy pointed a finger at Moskau’s spellbook. “You’ve had much too many chances.” He muttered something in a strange language, and the book went up in black flames.

“NO!!” Moskau yelled. “Please, NOOOOO…” he cried, as his voice faded away. In a few seconds, he disapeared in a flash of light. The PET also disappeared.

“No,” said Dschingis, really scared now, and he scrambled to get away.

The boy pointed at him, and muttered more of that language. Dschingis froze immediately in place. The boy said another of that language, and Dschingis went up in flames as well.

R Gin gasped. “Oh, lord…”

The boy turned to us now. “My name is Takai. My Mamodo is Makai. We’ve been sent in by our Lord Kagaikon…to eliminate you, slowly and painfully.”

I stepped back in fear. “How a-a-are you g-g-gonna do th-that?”

Takai smirked. He held out his hands, and they glowed with purple flame. “ARISE, DENIZENS OF THE DEAD!! YOUR MASTER, TAKAI COMMANDS YOU, ARIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSEEEEE!!!!!!!”

The ground rumbled beneath us. What’s happening!? Taiyou exclaimed. “I dunno,” I replied shakily, but we’re about to find out!!”

Several large corpses appeared, menacing, because they were no ordinary corpses. One was equipped with a large cannon for a right arm. Another had a giant sword. Another had a gleaming, giant axe; another had a mace, another had powerful metal for armor, and giant gold fists the size of a sycamore tree… These things were not of God…Wait…not of God…I realized the truth.

I pointed a finger at him. “You’re a necromancer!!”

He laughed. “Knowing what I am won’t help you live! Now, my corpses, KILL THEM!!!!!! ”

The bodies roared with fury, and charged toward us, weapons raised.

R Gin and I looked at each other, then back and the corpses. “Oh, shit.” We said in unison.

I've made this guy evil, huh? But you'll see a surprise twist involving him later in the story.

On the next chapter of Zatch Bell.EXE...

Takai, dark and sadistic, has sent a large, undead army at R Django and R Gin. Defeating Takai and Makai will save his friends, but how will they survive against the reanimated souls of 1000 bodies? Is this the end?

Chapter 20: Kiyasume Goes Full-Synchro!! Flower Power!!

Kiyasume

~~In a far off interdimensional area…~~

“Unh…ow. My head…where am I?” I looked around. All I could see was blackness. I moved my hand an inch in front of my face. I couldn’t see it.

“F-Flora?” I said shakily. “Flora, where are you?” I’m in you, Kiya I yelped. Relax, you’re still alive. Django and the others are fighting on the surface.

“What do you mean, the surface?” I asked my Navi quizzically. “Is Djangie okay?”

Yes. But not for long…I’m detecting an immensely powerful force attacking him…and it’s not just one…more like one thousand…Kiya, are you okay?

I sniffled and wiped a tear from my eye. “I’m fine…I just hope Djangie is…”

I think I know how we can save him…

“How!?” I said eagerly. “I’d give anything to save Djangie!!”

And so, Flora told me her plan…

~~Back on Earth…~~

R Django

“Ow…hrg!” Django, you okay? Taiyou said. I nodded. “I don’t know how much longer we can stand up against these things!!”

Takai and Makai laughed. “Lord Kagaikon is going to be pleased with us for killing you!!” He pointed to the zombie with the giant gold fists. “Grab them!!!”

The creature lumbered over and grabbed me and R Gin in each one of his hands. I was in the left fist, R Gin in the right. “Now,” Takai said. “Crush. Them.”

The giant corpse squeezed us, crunching our bones. “AUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!” we shrieked in pain.

“LET THEM GO!!!!!!!” a voice shrieked in anger. A flurry of razor-sharp leaves tore off the zombie’s fists. The manifestation roared in pain, and dropped us, then sank back into the ground.

R Flora jumped down next to me. “Are you okay?” she asked me. I looked to her. “Yeah, but check on R Gin. He got hit by the axe zombie.”

She brought him back to my side. There was a deep gash in his chest. Blood was pouring out of it, and he was moaning in agony.

Flora pressed her hands on the injury. “R Gin, I need you to relax. …Okay…Majikku Chiyu!”

The wound healed instantly. R Gin blinked in surprise. “Wow, Kiya. That’s excellent!!” She smiled. “I’ve been perfecting that technique for years.”

“Excuse me,” Takai said angrily. “Have you forgotten I have 999 zombies left!? ATTACK!!!” The corpses charged angrily.

R Flora held out her hands. Then she yelled out, “Full Synchro!!!” She glowed white. “Kei Kyanon!!!” Her hands morphed into green colored gun barrels, and fired a large mass of thorns. The rest of the corpses were eliminated in a matter of seconds.

Takai did something that scared us all. He gasped. “That girl’s not human!!” he yelled, pointing at her shakily.

R Flora’s Crossfusion ended. As Kiyasume fell to the ground, I ran forward and caught her in my arms. The Dimensional Area dissipated.

“Kiyasume!” I cried. “Are you all right!?”

She moaned. “Yeah, I’m fine.”

I heard clapping. I looked up to see Takai with an evil smirk on his face. “Well done. Someone who’s managed to destroy my creatures. That means you’ve proved yourselves to be a threat to our operation. Now, I can’t let you live.”

“If you wanna touch her, you’ll have to go through us!!” several loud voices cried behind us. We all turned around: and saw everyone!! Enzan, Dekao, Yaito, Shuko, everyone!!

Makai narrowed his eyes angrily. “Is this pathetic gaggle of toy soldiers supposed to scare us?” He thrust his hands and the crowd, and said something in a strange language; the same one Takai used.

A giant cage of black flames encircled the crowd, trapping them. “Now, you can’t interfere.” Makai said maliciously.

“Houshi!!!” A voice very near me yelled. A gold cloud of spores was launched at Takai and Makai. It covered them, and completely paralyzed them.

I whirled to my side. Flora had launched the spores from her hands while Kiyasume was leaning on her shoulder.

“Flora!!” Chris and I yelled happily.

“Damn…” Takai groaned. “I can’t move!!” “Neither can I!!” Makai yelled.

Kiyasume smiled. “Once Flora uses her spores, you might as well be frozen in time.” She said, then collapsed.

I jerked my head toward Kiyo. “Ready to end this?!” I yelled.

He nodded, then held open his book. “I was waiting for you to say that! Bao Zakerga!!!!!!”

A huge, electric serpent crackling with sparks flew from Zatch’s open mouth. Takai and Makai stared up at it with wide, wide eyes. Then, the serpent pounced. They shrieked in agony. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”

When the smoke cleared, Takai was left. The blast was so powerful, he was fading away. He was…dying.

“Haaah…this isn’t over.” he said painfully. “Lord Kagaikon of Kujo, the Syndicate of Destruction, will make you pay…Ack! Forgive me, Lord Kagaikon…” Then, he disappeared in a flurry of black flames.

The sky returned from the stormy, black-clouded montage it had taken on when Takai and Makai appeared.

Meiru

Laika threw up his hands in exasperation. “Well this is fine and dandy isn’t it? The Death Twins are gone, our friends are back, Django’s girlfriend is back (that comment got some angry glares from Django, Kiyasume, and Kisoka), but aren’t we forgetting something? WE NEED THOSE MOTHER@#$%ING GEMS!”

Yaito knocked him out with yet another heel kick. “Shut up you brat.” she said scornfully.

Flora smiled. “If we forgot the gems, what are these?” She held out her hands. In the left one was the Leaf Gem!! In the other was a stone that was red, orange, yellow, and gold. In the middle was a picture of a burning flame.

“Apparently, the Death Twins were carrying this on them to keep it safe for their master, Kagaikon, or something.” Kiya explained.

RRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEE.

“Anyone feel that?” Netto asked, worried. We all turned toward the direction of the rumbling. A tidal wave was headed straight for us!

“Oh. My. GOD!!!!” Dusk shrieked.

Enzan raised an eyebrow at Orochi. “What’s wrong with Dusk, man?”

Orochi whispered in Enzan’s ear. “Dusk’s got a real fear of water. A BIIIIIIG fear. Once, he clung to my leg for 17 minutes when I went to the lake back home. He cried so much, he jumped away from his own puddle of tears.”

Flora and I tried our best to suppress a giggle. Dusk glared at us.

I rubbed my chin thoughtfully. “Okay, how should I put this…RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

We turned around and started running, but it was too late: the tidal wave slammed into us with a crushing force.

On the next chapter of Zatch Bell.EXE…

The tidal wave slammed our troop on the island capital of Mizu Shufu! The Water Gem is hidden somewhere in the village in the middle of the island. But because of the wave, they’ve been scattered all over!! Will they ever find each other? Or will starvation and insanity find them first…

I've added a new twist!! CFS's character's going to find love on the island!!Did anyone get Survivor deja-vu just now? :/

Chapter 21: Stranded! Lost on Mizu Shufu!! Deadly Assassin Approaching!!

~~Several hours later…~~

Orochi

God, my head. It’s burning like a campfire!! What happened?

I got up and rubbed a big lump in the back of my head. “Dusk!! Are you okay??” I looked around, then tried calling his name again. “DUSK!!”

“Up here!” a voice said. I looked up and saw Dusk clinging onto a nearby coconut tree for dear life.

“Dusk, what are you doing up there!?” I replied angrily. He pointed down. Where I was standing, the tide slowly came in and out, the water swirling around my bare feet. I sighed. “Come on, Dusk! Quit being a wimp and come down!” He shook his head and climbed up higher.

A voice giggled behind me. I turned around. A girl sat cross-legged a few feet from me. Her hair was dark blue with a clip of a blue moon in it, and her eyes were a pale blue color. She wore glittering, blue high heels, a blue T-shirt, and had on a blue skirt, with a pattern of ocean waves on it. Her nails were painted blue, too. She got up and walked over to me.

“Looks like your friend could use some help.” She pointed a finger at the water that was surround the tree Dusk had perched on. Dusk crossed himself, then started biting his nails.

Suddenly, the water froze solid!! Seeing the water gone, Dusk slid down the tree, ran over to the girl, and hugged her. “Thank you!!” he said pathetically. The girl smiled, then started stroking Dusk’s hair. “No problem.” She said cheerfully.

“Hold on!” I said agitated. “Just who are you?” This girl was really mysterious.

The girl bowed. “My name is Shio Kawa! Welcome to Mizu Shufu!!”

I looked around. In front of us seemed to be an endless sea, and in back was a large forest. I raised an eyebrow at her. “This is it?” I asked quizzically. Shio shook her head. “No. But there’s more inside!” She ran over and grabbed my arm. “C’mon! I’ll show you!!” She pulled me into the forest, with Dusk running at my heels.

~~Wherever Django is…~~

Django

Man, did I get screwed over this time. Stranded on an island with nothing to eat. Not an apple anywhere.

Grrrrrrmmmmmbbbbbbbllllllleeeeee…

I shot a glare at Taiyou. “Taiyou, what did I tell you?” He groaned. “’The less you think about hunger, the less hungrier you’ll be.’” I nodded. “Good. We’ll last, Taiyou. We’ll be okay.”

“Taiyou!! Djangie!!!!” Djangie, I thought. Only one person calls me that… I turned around and saw Kiyasume running towards us, her hair flowing in the wind, with a large basket filled past the brim with apples. Flora was trailing right behind her.

We jumped up with excitement. “Kiya!!” Taiyou yelled. He got down on his knees and looked at the sky. “Thank you, Lord!!”

Kiyasume stopped in front of us and dropped the basket of apples in front of us. “I’ve been searching the island for you!” she said to me, and wrapped her arms around my neck. I turned red, and Taiyou cracked up. Flora started giggling.

“It took me more than 2 and a half hours to find you!” she said, handing an apple to me. “I thought you were…” she trailed off, tears slowly forming in her eyes.

Flora put a hand on her partner’s shoulder. “Kiya, relax. We’ve found them now, so everything’s okay!”

“I don’t think so.” Taiyou said in between bites of apple. “We need to find everyone else, then get the Water Gem, then off this island!”

We all looked at the forest, then sighed. “Well,” I said. “Let’s get going.”

~~Meanwhile, with Orochi and Shio…~~

Orochi

Night had fallen. Dusk had used his Kikoku spell to start a campfire. I was roasting some fish that Shio had managed to catch. She had this strange ability to control water. She got us bass, salmon, trout, even snapper! There was enough fish to last five days.

“Hmm…” Dusk said. I turned to him. “Why the ‘Hmm…’?” He leaned over and whispered into my ear. “I don’t get it. This girl just mysteriously shows up. She’s acting all nice with you. She even gave us food and water. How do we know she’s not an agent of Kujo? This could be a clever enemy trap!!”

Dusk turned to Shio, who was trying to catch fireflies in bubbles. She was laughing happily as if what she was doing was the greatest thing in the world.

“Her?” I said. “I doubt it. Does she really look like she’s evil?”

“C’mon!! She could be putting on an act!!” We continued arguing for the next several minutes, we didn’t see Shio come over and sit down next to Dusk. “What’s up?” she asked, holding the large bubble of fireflies in her hands.

Dusk was about to say something, but I stopped him by pushing him off the log we were sitting on. “Nothing!” I said quickly before Dusk could recoil. “Absolutely nothing.”

She shrugged, then dropped the conversation. Suddenly I heard a large BOOOOOOMMMM!!!!! Far to my right. Dusk got up and yelled, “What was that!?”

“Bametha!!!” A large ball of sand blasted into the fireplace. It turned to sand, then crumbled with a poof. I jumped up in fear. “Oh, my GOD!!”

“Hmm…just like a normal human to show fear to his enemy.” I looked up at the voice. The boy with the spellbook wore a brick-red gi and black pants. On the chest the kanji for ‘hate’, ‘fear’, and ‘despair’ were splashed across in red ink. His hair was a dark red and spiked. He had light, pale skin that looked like it came from a colored pencil. But the strangest thing was his eyes. They were exactly like mine: no pupils.

The Mamodo next to him looked like something from a desert. He looked almost human, but he was completely covered in sand. There were large spikes and horns all over his back. His eyes were shiny as glass but as black as the night. He also had huge claws.

“Hmm…” the human partner said. “Two more worthless humans to fry.”

I jumped up in anger. “Who are you calling worthless, you freak!? Just who are you?”

He jumped down from the tree he was perched on. Now that I had a closer look at him, I could see something. The was a dark purple aura around him. I didn’t know what it was, but it told me one thing: He was pure evil.

“Hm…” his voice broke my thoughts. “I see you possess the power of the Reikon Eye.”

I looked at him quizzically. “The Reikon Eye? What’s that?” The boy sighed. “Just like a pitiful human not to know the wonderful gifts he’s been bestowed. The Reikon Eye is a special power that resides in the eyes. It allows us to see into people’s very soul. Kujo recruited me for this very power.”

I gasped and pointed a shaky finger at him. “S-s-so y-y-you’re..”

“That’s right!!” the boy yelled darkly. “Lord Kagaikon’s Vice Commander of Kujo, Zera!!”

Zera… I thought. Why does that name sound familiar to me?

“Now it’s time for you to—” He never finished that sentence, because a large beam of ice slammed into him. I looked behind me and saw Shio holding her hand out, blue smoke hissing from it. “Lay one finger on him, and you’re dead!” Dusk gaped at her in awe. “Whoa.” he said.

Zera got up, looking really angry now. “You wench…” he said. “You’ll pay for that!! Zumatha!!!” The Mamodo raised his hands, and the claws flew off with amazing speed, heading straight for Shio. I ran towards her and pushed her out of the way, the claws missing us by inches. “Dusk!!” I yelled, pulling out my book. “Rock his world!! Kamayu!!!!” A large dragon of darkness erupted from Dusk’s hand and charged at the Mamodo.

“Zama, let’s teach him not to mess with us!! Akama!!!” Zama began spinning around extremely fast, then faster, faster, until his hand separated and turned into a virtual tornado of sand. It slammed into the dragon and the attacks cancelled each other out.

“Water!!” Shio yelled from next to me. “The Mamodo’s made of sand, right? Water will weaken him!!” She held out her hand, a ball of water slowly growing bigger in it. “Keep him busy!” she said. “I need to charge this attack!” I nodded. “That I can do!! Dusk, it’s time to try that new spell! Take out your sword!!”

Dusk nodded, and drew the giant sword from his back. “All right…” I said. “Kikoku Ken!!!” His sword rippled with a purple aura. “YAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” Dusk said, leaping at Zama. He slashed at the sandy Mamodo, each attack also pounding him with dark energy.

~~With Django and company…~~

Taiyou

Great. Nighttime. I hate the nighttime. My powers are practically useless at this time! We were deep in the forest, walking towards a huge, glowing moon that miraculously appeared out of nowhere, it’s ray shining into the middle of the forest.

“Taiyou?” Flora said. “You okay?” I nodded. “Yeah, Flora. I’m just a little nervous that there’s no sunlight anywhere.”

“Relax.” She said, surprisingly calm. “Everything’s gonna be okay. What could—” I stopped her with my hand. “If you say what I think you’re gonna say, you’ll doom us all.” Flora rolled her eyes. “Whatever you say…”

“Hee, hee, hee…” A mocking voice was heard from the trees. Kiyasume whirled around. “What was that?” “Hee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee…” “Okay, whoever’s doing that, stop!!” she said, clasping Django’s hand, making him turn red.

“Follow the sand…” said an eerie voice. “You’ll find your friend.” We all looked down, and saw a trail of sand, heading into the darker part of the jungle.

Kiyasume shivered and moved closer to Django. “W-w-w-w-why should we t-t-trust y-you?”

“What would I gain?” the voice replied, making a good point.

So we followed the trail of sand.

~~Back with Orochi and his company…~~

Dusk

“Damn!! This guy survived my Kikoku Ken technique!! He’s no ordinary Mamodo.” Zama chuckled evilly. “We are stronger than all others. Therefore, we are better!! This is Master Zera’s credo!!”

Dusk. Orochi contacted me through telepathy. Shio-chan’s ready. Just hold him down, and she’ll blast the water. I froze. “Okay.” I said. “You are NUTS if you think I’m gonna let water touch even an inch of me!!” Dusk, get a friggin’ grip!! Orochi replied angrily. It’s time to get over your fear! Now hold that grainy bastard down!! I groaned. “All right.” I caved in. “It’s GO TIME!!!!” I teleported behind Zama, grabbed him a headlock, and positioned him into the path of Shio’s attack. “Fire away, Shio!!” She smiled. “With pleasure!! Aqua Burst!!!!” She let the blast fly, and it zoomed toward Zama and I with amazing force. The blast of water slammed into Zama, making a loud hissing sound, and he roared in pain. “NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WATER!!! IT BUUUUUUURRRRRRNNNNNNNSSSSSSS!!!!!!!” bits of Zama started falling off. It felt like touching wet Play-Doh.

Zera appeared in front of Dusk, and knocked him back with a backhand slap. Zera grabbed Zama around his arm. “You got lucky this time. The next time we meet, I’ll kill you.” Zera said icily. A flurry of sand appeared around him and they both disappeared.

Dusk stepped away from the sight. “God..” We heard a moaning sound behind us. Shio was collapsing.

Orochi

I ran over to Shio and grabbed her in my arms. “Shio-chan, what’s wrong?!” She started breathing heavily. “I used so much power on my Aqua Burst, that I’ve exhausted all my energy. I need to rest…” I took her over to the log and laid her down on it. “Thank you, um…in all of this excitement, I never learned your name.” “Orochi Tsumikiri, at your service. But my friends call me Orochikiri.”

She smiled. “Thanks for the help, Orochikiri.” “Orochi!! Dusk!!” A voice cried to my left. I turned to look who had cried my name. Django, Taiyou, Kisoka and Kiyasume were running towards us, worried looks on their faces. “You okay, Orochi-kun?” Taiyou said, panting. I nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine.” “Who’s that?” Kiyasume said, pointing at Shio, who was resting. I blushed. “That’s a friend of mine.” I said. “She comes from this island, doesn’t she?” Flora questioned. Dusk nodded. “Yeah,” he said. “She can also manipulate water. She even got rid of my fear of it!!”

“Well,” I said. “We’ve gotta head over to where that moon is. How’d you guys know where to find us, anyway?” “We were told by some weird voice to follow the sand. It lead us right to you. What happened, anyway?”

I was about to tell them about the battle when Dusk contacted me through telepathy again. Don’t tell them. If they know someone’s after us, they’ll be running scared. It could mess them up. I nodded. You’re right. Let’s keep it under wraps.

“Let’s rest here and continue our journey tomorrow.” I said. “In the meantime, I’m going to get some fish. C’mon, Dusk. And Django?” “Yeah?” he replied. I looked at Taiyou. “I’ll need to borrow Taiyou.” “What!?” he said. “Django, you’re really not gonna—” “Okay.” the Solar Boy said. “WHAAAAAT!?” But he complied with his partner, and followed, sulking, at my heels.

???

I sighed. “Why did you have to do that, Saru?” My Mamodo laughed. “C’mon, I helped them find their friends, and you gotta admit, the ‘eerie voice’ was funny!!” He laughed again, tears forming on his eyes.

I sighed again and closed my laptop. “Come on. Let’s go find out what the other two are up too. Let me borrow your staff for a minute.” He handed me his staff. I took it…and bonked Saru on the head with it. As he rubbed the bump, I started laughing. “Come one, you idiot monkey. Let’s get going.” So we wandering from our hiding spot, following the one’s called Dusk and Orochi.

Kagaikon

“So…” I said to Zera and Zama, who were both kneeled down in front of me. Zama kept wincing in pain every now and then. After he took the water attack from that mysterious Shio, he looked like he was melting. “You’ve failed me. You appear to be losing your touch, Zera.”

He looked up. “No, sir. I was not expecting Zera’s only weakness to be right under our noses. I—” I stopped him with my hand. “Zera, you have been a loyal servant to me for many years, yes? You copied the data from the LifeVirus, manipulated the bugs from Gospel, monitored Alpha’s sleep, engaged in battle with Duo and even learned his science, and stole 65% of NebulaGray’s DarkPower. All of that powered has been programmed into one chip. I thought you’d find a way to eliminate Zama’s weakness. You should have been able to destroy Dusk and Orochi with ease! Now tell me: WHY DIDN’T YOU!!!!!!!?????”

He turned away. “I do not know, Sir. When I saw Orochi, I experienced something I never felt before. I experienced…emotion.”

Futodoki gasped. I jumped up in anger. “DO NOT USE THAT WORD, FOOL!!!!” I took a deep breath, then sat back in my chair. “I have a new mission for you. Instead of killing Orochi and Dusk, I want you to kill the girl, Shio Kawa. She’s a very big threat to us. I cannot have her live. Take her out as quickly as possible. Do I make myself clear?”

Zera nodded. “Yes, my Lord. I understand. But how will I repel her water powers?” I pressed a button on my chair. Two chips appeared in front of Zera. A Dark SynchroChip, and another that was split into five parts: on one, it showed a pure white aura; then a piece of bug data; then a red, core that was drawn to look like it was pulsating; another of a comet; and the middle: a blue flame. I gestured toward that chip. “That is the KentaiChip, a chip that contains the power of all of the previous world threats. You yourself helped me get this data. When slotted in, it will combine all the data on the chip and make you untouchable. Use it the next time you find the girl. Do. Not. Disappoint. Me.”

He took the chips and nodded. “I won’t, Sir.” He opened up a dark portal behind him. He was about to step into it when I stopped him again. “Zera.” he turned around. “Let Orochi and Dusk live; kill only the girl.” His eyes became wide, but he quickly recovered. “Sir, but—” I jumped up. “Are you contradicting me, Zera!? Your orders are to kill the girl, and that’s what you’ll do!! Don’t get soft on me, Zera. I would hate to have to kill you. You’ve always served me well, and I would like to keep it that way.”

He nodded, then disappeared into the portal. I sighed and rubbed my head. “If his loyalty wavers, I may have to send in the Keji…”

What is the Keji? What are the destructive effects of the KentaiChip? Is Shio safe, and what does Orochi need Django for? All will be answered on the next chapter of Zatch Bell.EXE!!

Orochi, Dusk and Django come into contact with a gigantic squid!! With Dusk weakened from the fight with Zera and Zama, and with Django off protecting Kiyasume, Shio and Flora, how will he use his spells? And now that Kagaikon’s place a hit on Shio, will she live…or die?...
