Wierd Effects on Real Life From Playing Videogames

Yeah, please don't turn my thread into something off-topic, especially THAT. I've seen enough of those on at least 5000 websites, and this thread'll be locked ><. But either way: Playing Kingdom Hearts for too long made me try to throw a boomerange exactly like Sora does during Strike Raid. Let it be known that I'm not allowed to touch boomerangs until 13 days from now.

Sometimes old Sonic game music randomly pops into my head, mostly GreenHill Zone.

I'm sure I have some other malfunctions but I think the topmost is that video games have possesed me to get into the industry to make video games.

I can't count the times where videogame scenes,songs,etc have been running around my head like headless chickens. I've got game on the brain, I was playing Boktai (sidenote:I do the same "This is one great Boktai day" too) for a LONG while and I was wearing a cap, t-shirt,sandals, anything I could get to protect my skin from the suns rays, leaving only my toes,arms and a bit of my face exposed into the sun. Long story short, I got the weirdest tan in the world, my feet got brown tan lines all over them and my arms and lower portion of my face
(under the forhead) got taned as well. Hell once I stayed up all night playing a video game, it was a beauuuuuuutiful sunrise Laughing

. but I don't do that anymore :/ sleep is important and I had to stay away from the sun for a while, the tan has become very faint. Smile

I'm not a videogame addict even I know when to draw a line, but I'm proud to say that I've never experienced any flashes etc from playing games, just loss of sleep and a little sunburn.

Yes... videogames also screw-up my body clock during vacations, big time: sleep in the day, play in the night... I also tend to eat very fast when I need to, so I can get back to playing right away.

The worst of it is, I can stay for days without taking a bath... or brushing my teeth... or changing my clothes, except when I've got food on them...

*sigh*if only studying has the same effects...

The health and safety booklets are necessary so game companies aren't liable. Video games have been known to cause seizures in people with epilepsy, and induce headaches even in people without, and cause people to lose sleep and forget to eat...

Of course, due to aforementioned legal reasons.

But what I'm saying is that very few people actually READ them, even though they are in the packaging with the hardware/software.

Well, I just beat Rockman Zero 2 with all the EX Skills, and then when I played Rockman Zero 3, I kept trying to use my EX Skills against Childre. He kicked my ass Razz

I know I played video games too much when I stop in the middle of Target, whip out my cell phone. Hold doen the back button to release my key lock and then SAY--OUT LOUD "Riko, could you get me the GPS coordinates of my parents in this store and tell me what department they are in." (Riko being my imginary navi that doesn't exist except in my head..and even then he's not really a navi..) yes... I watch and play too much Rockman.EXE

you can NEVER play too much Mega Man...can you? whenever i have ideas for a new operating system for example, i hear MMBN BGM music that varies from games 1,2,3, and 5 ( :puku: 4 is EVIL! :puku: ). it doesn't help that i imported the official soundtrack of 1~3 and have 5 and 6 from other sites. also, whenever i NetBattle my friend with MMBN5 DS and i need to get in my "zone", i just listen to MMBN1 and literally DESTROY him. it's really, really weird. lol Laughing

Well, you guys haven't seen me play Tetris Attack and SMB2(J).

On Tetris Attack I play with my sister and go :puku: like that when i'm in a toght spot

On SMB2.... ALL UNTIL I :stonecube: MYSELF. I scream I jump, I talk, I bash, I kick, I... This game is too freakin hard (I complete it and the damn cardrige deletes itself if I don't use it in a week) (NOTE: There's a japanese "You are a super player" message in 9-4. I think it says that because every game says it.)

Something happened to me on the day after my birthday, I had been playing Shadow the Hedgehog ever since I got it, which was at least 22 hours (stopping in between to come here) I saw a red light in front of my eyes. I went outside to clear my head, and I saw a kid using a remote control plane, but I thought it was a Black Hawk. I grabbed a large stick nearby, chased it down, and smashed it to bits, SCREAMING at the top of my lungs, "GIVE ME THE CHAOS EMERALDS, YOU DAMN ALIEN SCUM!!!!!!!" Evil or Very Mad

I woke up two hours later in my bed with a BIG headache, and a large splinter lodged firmly into my big toe. Took me 13 minutes to get it out. And I kept seeing the red light in front of my eyes. :! :/ Am I okay, or slowly going crazy from the bright lights...

Whenever I play a really good RPG, the music and the COMMAND LIST stays in my head. Once, I saw the Kingdom Hearts II Land of Dragons Command List in the corner of my eye. I started tipping my head down, and the list moved. My friends wondered what I was doing, then I pulled a lighter out of my pocket, turned it on, and yelled, "FIRAGA!!" they all jumped back and Chelsea hit me in the head, telling me never to do it ever again in the public.

(People started staring because of my stupid Kingdom Hearts obsessions...)

when im NetBattling against my friend, i listen to the MMBN soundtrack. more specifically, MMBN1 and he just can't beat me. it's like im in the battle via FullSynchro or something. i swear, one day i was battling my friend and it seemed like the battle stage turned around until i was in Mega Man's point of view and instead of moving up and down, i was moving left and right. maybe im crazy Laughing
