Great chapter, yet again. I'm so happy to see the idiot monkey show his face so soon! Loved the part about the spooky voice. And that Kentai chip sounds really deadly. I can't wait to find out what happens next Django SP!

Chapter 22: Embodiment!! A Fusion of the Past!!!!

Dusk

I jumped out of the way of one of the flailing tentacles. “Dusk!!” my master yelled. “Get ready!!! Kikoku!!!!” I raised my hands and fired blasts of dark energy from my hand. The giant squid roared in a mixture of pain and fury.

Perhaps I should explain why Orochikiri, Taiyou and I are fighting a giant squid just as day is breaking. I’ll back up. We were last left after Zera and Zama—you know them, the sadistic freaks who nearly blew us out of existence—vanished after Shio doused them. After that attack, she needed rest and we needed food. So we went down to the beach, and lo and behold; we found a giant squid. And that is why we’re beating the chum out of a giant squid.

“Taiyou!!” I yelled. “Blind him!!” Taiyou nodded and held out his hands. The sunlight came down and started glowing in his hands. Then, he let it loose on the giant squid’s eyes. The squid roared then covered its eyes with its tentacles. “Now it’s my turn!!” I yelled my battle cry: “Dekiagari!!” I pulled out my sword, and pressed a small trigger on it. The blade flew out attached to large chain. I whipped it around, slicing the squid’s tentacles. I retracted the chain, and drove blade into the squid’s neck. It shrieked in pain, then collapsed with a ground-shaking BOOOOM!!!!

I fell to my knees in exhaustion. “Okay.” I gasped. “Now…can...we…eat?”

Orochikiri grinned. “Yeah.” He said, hoisting the giant squid’s body over his back. “It’s breakfast time!!”

~~Back at the campground…~~

Flora

I thought before my decision. I may have been in tough situations, but this took the cake!! Finally, I tried. “Do you have any…eights?” Kiyasume threw down her cards happily. “Go Fish!!” she squealed. Django threw down his cards, too. “I swear,” he said. “It’s like she’s got Kaze’s card-playing skill!”

“Hey!!” A voice yelled behind us. We turned around and saw Dusk, Taiyou, and Orochi. Orochi was holding up a dead giant squid. “Breakfast!!” he yelled, a big smile on his face. Kiyasume made a disgusted face. “Please tell me we’re not going to eat that thing!” Django put a hand on her shoulder. “Relax,” he said. “It’s not so bad if you boil it in saltwater. Dusk held up a big bucket filled with saltwater. “Way ahead of you, Django.”

~~20 minutes later…~~

“Mmm! Kiya, you should’ve eaten that squid. Tasted like it came right from Red Lobster!!” She turned to me, looking a pale green. “I don’t do well with squid, Flora, you know that. Remember the incident at Shells?” I shuddered. “Don’t remind me. I still get flashbacks of flying crab cakes.” “Here it is, everyone!” Shio said. We stopped in a large clearing. In the middle was a lake, and in the middle of the lake was a giant, swirling whirlpool. Shio gestured her hand toward it. “That’s the entrance to Mizu Shufu!!” I stared at her blankly. “Are you telling me that that leads to a city?” Shio nodded. “Yep.”

Kiyasume looked at the whirlpool, then at Shio, then the whirlpool, then back at Shio again. “If you honestly think I’m going to go in there—” “BONZAI!!!!!” Taiyou yelled, jumping into the whirlpool. “Wait up!!” Django said, following suit. I sighed. “They are so—” “INCOMING!!!!!” Dusk yelled, doing a ninja flip into the lake. Orochi blinked. “Wow. Guess Dusk’s not afraid of water anymore. Hold up, Dusk!!” He jumped into the pool with a swan dive. Shio ran after him. “Wait for me, Orochikiri-kun!!!” She cannonballed in. Kiyasume and I both sighed. “What should we do?” she asked. I shrugged. “What else can we do?” We held our noses and jumped in.

Dusk

Whoa! What we were going through wa so cool right now!! Light was flashing and swirling around us. We were covered in a glowing blue film that was helping us breathe. “Shio,” I asked. “What’s going on?” She smiled. “Were heading to my hometown, Mizu! It’s all underwater, but humans are allowed to breathe if they have pure hearts. Everyone but Shio looked at Django. He shifted his eyes. “What!? So I have one copy of the Sexy Enquirer under my mattress!” Orochi raised an eyebrow. “Django…” Django turned red. “All right, so it’s not one!! It’s more like one hundred!! We all have skeletons in our closet!!” He crossed his arms angrily. Kiyasume burst out laughing.

We landed, and the sight in front of us had to be believed. A large, shining utopia stood in front of us. Houses and buildings were sculpted out of marble and limestone. Schools of fish swam by. A glittering fountain of blue crystals were spewed out from a light green fountain. A humongous, clear dome sat in the middle of the village. And the citizens…they were mermaids! They even had the tails to prove it!! I turned to Shio. “Shio-chan, is this…Atlantis!?” She stared at me quizzically. “Oh, Atlantis!! No, that’s just a crazy theory we made up to draw away the attention of Mizu Shufu. Believe it or not, it’s easy to find.” I nodded. “Okay…and what did you mean by ‘human’?” “Since everyone here is a mermaid or merman, we’re born with gills, so we can breathe in water.” “But,” Orochi questioned. “You’re human, so how can you breathe underwater? Didn’t your parents—” At the word “parents”, Shio burst into tears. Everyone glared at him. “What?” he said, worried. “What did I do!?” “Shio doesn’t have any parents, you octi-headed, slithering moron!!” Kiyasume said, her hands on her hips. I glared back at her. “First off, SHUT UP about my name!! I had to be named after a mythical eight headed dragon. Second, I didn’t know that Shio didn’t have parents!” Taiyou laughed. “Orochikiri, I thought she was your girlfriend!! Wasn’t she supposed to tell you stuff like that?” I blushed, then grabbed a nearby electric eel, and stuffed it into Taiyou’s mouth. He shrieked in pain and crackled with electricity.

A band of mermen suddenly appeared around us, each holding a trident, the tips wrapped in stingray tails. “Oh, crap.” Django groaned.

~~7 minutes later…~~

Django

We were dragged to the large dome we saw when we first appeared. The smooth doors, which were carved out of coral, eased open as we were thrown inside. It was like some kind of city hall. Chandeliers were hung up all across the ceiling, and a red carpet ran down the center to a magnificent throne made of glass and coral. It was currently unoccupied. Everyone else was seated at a loooooooooong table enjoying a wide assortment of seafood. Netto, Yaito, Meiru, and Enzan waved at us from the table as we were thrown in by the mer-guards. “Ouch!” Flora yelled. “Watch it, you lousy salmon hybrids!!” “SILENCE!!” one guard yelled. “King Poseidon is about to make his entrance in the Dome of Mizu!!” He leaned in close on Flora’s face with a sneer on his. “You would do well to show His Highness some respect.” Flora spat in his face. “Bite me, fish-boy.” The large guard growled at Flora, then swam off.

Kaze

I stepped over to Taiyou with my arms crossed. “It took you long enough to get here!!” “Hey, we didn’t know this was here!” he replied sheepishly. I sighed, then dragged him over to the table. As he sat down, I handed him a lobster tail. “Here.” I said. “Eat this.” He took the lobster tail and crunched down. “So,” Dusk said. “What is exactly going on here?” “We’ve arrived in this place just in time to see the king arrive. They were about to feed us to a vicious army of carnivorous piranhas, but we told them our situation about the Elemental Gems, and they let us off the hook, no pun intended.” Enzan said, taking a bite of shark meat.

A fanfare sounded through the Mizu Dome’s Great Hall. “All hail the great Poseidon, God of Water, King of the Sea!!!!” said the big merman who angered Flora. A big merman floated down onto his throne. He had a shining gold crown on his white hair-covered head, and a white beard similar to that of Santa Claus’ and a whiter mustache. He had a gigantic trident in his right had. And instead of one tail, he had two. He had rippling muscles that looked like they could rip apart a city bus. He had orange eyes and a scar along the left side of his face. He turned and looked in our direction. “And who might they be?” The annoying mer-guard swam over to Poseidon. “They are from the Surface World, my King. They could help us in our predicament.”

THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! A blast ripped through the dome, right onto the table. “Godammit!!!! Who the hell blasted the curried lobster!!!?”

“Heh, heh, heh…A HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!!!!!! Foolish creatures!! You will bow before my awesome might!!”

We all looked up. Zera and Zama were floating several feet above us. “I beat you once!”, Dusk yelled. “And I’ll whip your ass again if I have to!!!” Zama glared at him, his eyes looking like black holes. “How, DARE you talk to Master Zera like that!! Prepare to die!!” Zera pulled out his PET. “Dimensional Area!! Download!!” A shimmering dome appeared inside the water palace. “Dark SynchroChip In!! Download!!!” A flash of purple light blinded us. When we could regain our sight, an unholy abomination stood in front of us. Zera had black eyes with red pupils. His claws were the size of meat cleavers. He was completely covered in black sand, and there were three large horns on his head, one in the middle, and one on each side. Three more large horns were on his back as well. There were also spikes on his hands, too. He pointed a finger at us. “Get ready to die!!!” A large amount of sand erupted out of his finger and flew toward us. Mermaid/men screamed, and tried to hide as best as they could. Kisoka was about to yell out my spell, when I heard “Tsukitotu!!” behind me. A glowing, silver shield appeared around us, and deflected the attack.

Chris

Orochi stepped forward, an angry look on his face. “Let me handle this. Kamayu!!!!” Dusk’s Darkness Dragon flew toward R Zama. He merely smirked, and snapped his fingers. A huge wall of stone appeared in front of his, and dissipated the attack. He appeared in front of Dusk, and knocked him down with one punch. “I didn’t come for you,” he growled in Zama’s voice. “I came for the one called Shio!!!!” Shio gasped and tried to run, but an arm of sand grabbed her left leg. R Zama stepped over to her. “Our boss doesn’t want you to interfere with our plan.” he said, raising his hands. “Unlucky you.” Three spikes of dark energy blasted into R Zama, knocking him back a couple dozen feet. Orochi stood facing him, with a look of pure anger on his face. “You touch one hair on her head, I’ll mutilate your body so bad that even Satan himself wouldn’t be able to identify it.”

Orochi

R Zama stood up, furious. “I’ve no choice. I didn’t want to do this (well, actually, I did), but taste ULTIMATE, RAW POWER!!!!!! KentaiChip, In!! Download!!!!!” He roared so loud, some of the glass from the palace dome shattered. A white light lifted him up, and exploded around him. When it ended, something unbelievable stood before us all. His right arm was the right arm of the LifeVirus. The left arm was Duo’s left fist. His body was like that of Alpha’s, with a pulsing, purple core in it. His head looked like Gospel’s but his hair made the spikes of bug data, and his eyes were a yellowish-red. His teeth were like that of wolves, glinting menacingly. In his middle was a big blue flame, with a purple “Z” in it, with a strike through the middle, so it looked like the “Z” on Zenny. “Shocked?” he said in a deep, throaty voice. “Netto, you and your friends may recognize some of these parts. They are that of EVERY boss you have destroyed. Their data has now been fused into my body, turning me from R Zama into…Taigen!!!!!!!!!”

Netto stared up at him in awe. “Whoa…the energy of every final boss rolled into one body…Is this even possible!?”

I slotted in a SynchroChip, turned into R Dusk, and leapt at Taigen. He laughed. “Foolish, stupid human!!! You’re much too weak to combat me!! Besides, I only came for the girl!!” He raised the Duo Fist. “MeteoKnuckle!!!!!!” A hail of giant Duo Fists pounded me. I yelled in pain, and fell back. He laughed, and started to walk to Shio. I held out my hand, and a chain came out and wrapped around Taigen’s leg, causing him to fall to the ground. He growled, then sliced it off with his index finger. “You’re really starting to bug me!!” he said, shooting a stream of bug data at me. They clung to my body and slowed me down immensley. I still got up and followed Taigen.

He turned his head all the way around at me. “Humans.” He spat. “Worthless creatures!!!!!!!!!” The core in his stomach morphed into a vicegrip, and clamped my left arm. I yelled out in agony as he ripped it off and tossed it aside. I fell off him, weakened. He laughed evilly, and walked closer to Shio.

“Dammit!!” I said, slamming my right arm, as my left was gone. “He’s unstoppable. His energy is higher than that when Netto used the Saito.BAT on Rockman!!” Then we’ll have to go higher than Saito.BAT Dusk replied. “How?” I said. “WE barely have any energy left, and one of my arms scrap flesh now!” Then we have to go…SoulSynchro…

Things appear there worst now that Zera has used the dreaded KentaiChip. With the power of every final boss at his disposal, how will they survive? And what is SoulSynchro? Does Dusk have something up his sleeve? Or are they about to face their toughest, and possibly final, mission?

Sorry the paragraphs are so squeezed together. I needed to make them seem longer on a web page scale. Tell me what you think!!

Chapter 23: Good Bye, Orochikiri

Orochi

“SoulSynchro…Why didn’t I think of that?” Once we go SoulSynchro, we unite our souls together, combining both our powers and energy. After that, we go Full Synchro, and then this guy will be easy pickings!! But Orochi, I just want you to know, you remember the consequences of SoulSynchro? I nodded. “I don’t care as long as Shio’s safe.” Then let’s do this!!!!! A white light glowed around me. “SOULSYNCHRO!!!!!!” we yelled at the same time.

A bluebell light swirled around us. When it dissipated, Dusk and I had reached our ultimate form. My left arm had been reattached, and the hand had grown to the size of a GoldFist. On each knuckle was a large, glittering spear. On my back was Dusk’s sword, but the blade had grown three times its size. On my right arm were spikes similar to Zama’s. On my chest was Dusk’s symbol. I hand Dusk’s ninja sandals, too. My eyes were green with a gray tint. Let’s get him, Orochi. I nodded. “I was hoping you’d say that.” I ran towards Taigen.

Netto was trying to fend his giant LifeVirus hand off with a Dreamsword, but no luck. He was down on one knee, then the sword snapped in half. Netto cried out in pain, then fell back, defeated. Taigen laughed. “FOOL!! Do you think a mere and pathetic human such as you could even hope to fight me?!”

He turned to Shio, who was cowering in a corner of the palace. “Finally, I’ll be able to kill you, and Lord Kagaikon will be extremely pleased with me!!!!” Shio held up her hand. “Don’t try using that water technique on me,” Taigen said flatly. “The LifeVirus’ LifeAura protects me from any attack like that. Add to that my elemental prowess, and I’m invincible!!!!” He morphed the core in his chest into a large axe, and raised it, ready to chop Shio.

“GutsStraight, BattleChip In!!” I yelled. I shot my giant fist at Taigen and it caught him in the, face, knocking him back. “Areasteal, BattleChip In!!” I warped to Shio, picked her up, and warped her over to a safer part of the palace. “Thanks, Orochikiri.” she said. I smiled. “No problem. Just stay here, and I’ll take care of this guy.”

“Oh, you will, will you!?” A voice cried above me. Taigen stood above us, his Duo Fist raised. I cried out, “Neo Variable Sword, BattleChip In!!!” and my right arm morphed into a glowing sword. “CrossSword!!” I jumped up to the Duo Fist, and cut in an “X” shape.

Orochi, we’ve got to speed this up. We’ve only got 15% of power left!! I gasped. “Wait, unless…” I know what you’re thinking, and you’re @#$%ing crazy!!! You know the consequences!!! I growled. “I don’t care as long as Shio-chan’s safe.” Dusk sighed. Dammit…I guess I can’t change your mind…Do it. I nodded. “SoulEruption!!!!!”

The symbol on my chest glowed white. What I was about to do was like a self-destruct mechanism. I pooled all my remaining energy into my soul and sent into in one immense blast at Taigen. The cost of that power: I died. I fell down in a heap as the blast ripped a hole through the emblem on Taigen’s chest. He gasped, and clutched the hole. “NO!!! But…my LifeAura…my invincible energy!! I CANNOT BE DEFEATED!!!!! ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!” Taigen exploded, blowing a hole through the dome, and leaving a crater where he once stood.

“Heh…” I gasped. “See you in Hell, Taigen.” Shio ran over to me, tears in her eyes. “Orochikiri, are you okay?!” I groaned, and tried to sit up. “Shio, don’t get scared, but it’s over for me.” “NO!!!” she cried, wrapping her arms around my neck. “You can’t be dying!!!” My body was fading away from the effects of SoulSynchro. “Shio-chan…I’ve only know you for a short time, but during that time, I’ve gotten to know you a lot. You’re a sweet girl.” At those words, she blushed. “Orochi…” I reached up to touch her cheek. Goodbye, Shio…” were my last words, as I faded away.

Orochi is gone!! Brought down by a sadistic mercenary of Kagaikon, he met his untimely end. Left with his touching words and heartfelt thanks, how will Shio cope with the loss of the only one she ever loved?

On the Next Chapter of Zatch Bell.EXE…

With Taigen, Kagaikon’s Vice-Commander dead, he’s running scared. The team has now collected three Elemental Stones, leaving four more. With the Water Manipulator Shio Kawa on their team, will finding the rest be easier? And what of Orochi? Is he really dead? Or is he out there, somewhere, hidden…watching over Shio-chan…?

Sorry it was so short, but I had to end this quick to get to the next part. Hope you guys like this one!!!!! :D :D :D

Chapter 24: Triple Threat!! Mystic, Mischief, and Monkey Burst on to the Scene!!!

Zera

“Ugh…damn that ninja…How on Earth could he have defeated me? I was supposed to be unstoppable!!” I was walking along a dark corridor in Kujo HQ, severely injured., clutching a huge gash on my chest. I had to explain the situation to Kagaikon, and hope to God he would spare me. “I never even got his name, so it’ll be harder to find him next time around.” “I think I caught it from one of his pathetic friends.” Zama replied. I turned my head to my ally. “What was it?” “I think it was…Orochi…” At that name, I recalled something. Something that was important…something that happened long ago…Then, all of a sudden, it came to me. “We’ll always protect each other, no matter what!!!” was a saying that went off in my head. Now I realized why Orochi seemed so familiar to me.

I reached inside my pocket and pulled out my PET. I flipped through several pictures I had taken long ago, until I saw the one I was looking for. I was a picture of me as a child, and another boy standing next to me. Written in the top right-hand corner were the words: Orochi and Zera: More than cousins; closer than friends. I gasped, then clicked off the PET. “That’s why he was so familiar. Orochi is my blood relative. When we were children, we promised to protect each other, no matter what. No…this can’t be right…this is impossible!!” Zama looked around, a worried look on his face. “Be quiet!! If Kagaikon sees us here, we’re dead!! He might even use the—” I raised a hand to stop him. “Don’t. Say. The. Name.” I said menacingly. I sighed, then rubbed my temples. “I need to find Orochi, to straighten this out.”

“Well, well, well…How the mighty have fallen. You disappoint me, Zera and Zama.” A voice said. We looked up and saw Kagaikon phasing through the ceiling, Futodoki at his side. “I warned you what would happen if you failed me, you two.” I backed away from them. “Please, Sir. Give me one more chance. Please!!!” “SILENCE!!! You’ve failed, Zera. Not only did you fail to destroy Shio, but you caused Orochi to take his own life!! I WANTED HIM TO LIVE!!!!! You know what this means.” Kagaikon said sternly. I got down on my knees, and winced in pain because of the scars. “No, Sir, please!! Not that!! Anything but that!!! I beg of you, Sir!!”

He held out his hand, which started smoking black fire. “Keji Arm!!!!!” A pool of black and red slime appeared beneath me, and a massive black arm reached up through it and grabbed me and Zama. “NO!! PLEASE, LORD KAGAIKON!!!!” He merely narrowed his eyes. “You’ve failed me for the last time.” Were the last words I heard him say before the arm pulled us into the depths of the pool.

~~On the road to Yochi Shufu…~~

Meiru

After what happened at the Water Palace, King Poseidon rewarded us for fending off Zera and Zama with the Water Gem. Shio also begged us to take her with us to avenge Orochikiri. It had been up to Django, as he was the only one other than Dusk and Shio who made a real connection to Orochi. Now, we have 3 new, powerful allies on our team: Blake, Vulcan, and Shio-chan, of course.

“Netto?” I asked. “How much farther are we from Yochi?” He pulled out his PET and studied the map. The map that Hotaru had given us had been downloaded into Netto’s PET, and whenever we needed to check our location. It projected a large holographic image of the whole kingdom, and our current location.

“We’re about another day away from Yochi.” Rockman said. Kaze groaned. “Isn’t there a faster way? Like a mode of transportation?” Kisoka clapped her hands together. “Oh, I’ve got an idea, Kaze!! We can just burrow into the ground like Bugs Bunny does!! Or we can swing from tree to tree like a monkey!!” Kaze rubbed her chin thoughtfully. “Y’know, the first one wasn’t such a bad idea.” “I was being sarcastic, nitwit!!!” Kisoka snapped back.

Suddenly, the earth started rumbling beneath us. A monstrous pod plant erupted from the ground, fangs dripping with poison. Shio pointed at it in fear. “What in God’s name is that?!” she cried. Before someone could respond, a large staff tore through the air and stuck the large plant through the stem. Then a small fireball appeared and flew forward and hit the plant square in the face. It roared with agony, and turned to ash. We all looked around. “What was that!?” Yaito cried. “Hahaha!! I love seeing people’s faces whenever Blaze does that!!” We looked up into the trees.

Three humans and their Mamodo were smirking down on us.

Gin

There was a Mamodo who had eyes that looked like the Pokemon, Aipom. He was about half a foot taller than Zatch. He had a golden headband that covered his forehead. His hair was like Netto’s brown, but this Mamodo’s was really messy, with two strands covering the eyes. He had a ragged, red coat with a visible tan shirt underneath. He had black sandals, and brown pants. He had three small spikes on each of his shoulders. He also had a long, brown tail.

His partner was a boy with silver hair. He was half a foot taller than his Mamodo. He had a blue sweatshirt with white stripes running down the sleeves and collar. He had black pants, and a laptop computer strapped to his back. His hair was as smoothed over as Enzan’s with three tufts of hair sticking out the back.

Another Mamodo was hanging upside-down from a branch. It was a girl Mamodo with pure white hair. She had pale, smooth skin, and long, slender fingers. She was dressed in a black cloak, giving her a slightly gothic look.

Her partner had shoulder-length black hair, and light brown eyes. She had on a blue jacket and blue jeans. She looked about 13, but was very short. Almost Yaito’s size.

The third and final Mamodo was as tall as the guy from Chronicle Reservoir, only the Mamodo didn’t have the jewel on his forehead. His skin was an orange color, with a red stomach. His ear tufts were also red. His eyes were ice blue, giving him a cold looking demeanor.

His human partner looked like Syaoran from Chronicle Reservoir. He had a short-sleeved black shirt, and black pants. He had shaggy brown hair, brown eyes, and a solemn look on his face.

Laika looked up at the group. “Just who do think you are, waltzing in here like that? We could’ve taken care of that plant ourselves!!” The monkey Mamodo chuckled, then balanced himself on his staff. “So why, didn’t you, Laika?” Laika flinched, but recovered quickly. “How do you know my name?” The girl jumped off the branch, and landed in front of Laika. “Oh, we know a lot about you. Quite a lot, in fact.” The orange Mamodo laughed. “We’ve been following you guys for a while. ‘A fly on the wall’, huh?” The girl Mamodo groaned. The silver-haired boy smacked him in the head with his laptop, making him fall off the tree.

“Perhaps we should introduce ourselves. “ the girl Mamodo said. She bowed. “My name is Serenity.” She gestured towards her partner. “This is my partner and best friend, Aku. As her name derives from, she’s very open with her feelings. Aku smiled and waved.

The silver hair jumped down. “My name is Kei. This is my Mamodo, Saru Saru Saruko. Just call him Saru for short. As you may have guessed, he’s a monkey/human/Mamodo hybrid.” Saru looked at his partner. “Don’t be fooled by his size. Kei’s a total genius!! But his bad point is that he’s really quick to judge. Watch out for that!!”

The orange Mamodo walked up to Laika. “My name is Blaze. This is my human partner, Mark. He doesn’t talk much, though.”

“Well, I’m glad that we’ve all gotten to know this happy little group,” Enzan started. “But why are you six here? Are you our enemies?”

Aku shook her head. “No. We’ve heard of your travels throughout Butai Oukoku. And we want to help. We’ve each come from our homelands to help you out.” She looked towards Kei. “Kei comes from the Earth Capital, and he can help you get there quickly. But, there is a price.”

Yaito piped up. “I can take care of that!!” Netto leaned in towards Meiru and whispered in her ear. “Of course she can. She’s got more money than she does brains.”

Yaito, hearing that, walked over to Netto, and kicked him in the nads. He screamed in pain, and fell over, holding on to his crotchular region for dear life as tears formed on his eyes. Yaito cleared her throat. “Now, then, what’s the price?”

Aku grabbed Yaito’s hand, and stared at her with a demonic look in her eye. “YOUR SOUL!!!!” she yelled. Yaito gasped, then Aku let go of Yaito’s hand, laughing. “I’m just kidding. The price is, I hope you don’t mind getting a little sick in the process.”

~~10 minutes later…~~

Chris

What Aku was doing was totally crazy. She had drawn a gigantic pentagram out of chalk, big enough for all of us to stand on the outer ring. Aku stood in the middle of the pentagram, writing on a small, rectangular piece of paper. She sighed, then held it up. It had a bunch of weird symbols and markings on them. “All right, everyone!!!” she yelled. “I need for you to join hands! That’s the only way this will work.” So we all nodded, and joined hands, forming the circle. She nodded, then held the talisman out to Blaze. “Light it!!” she said. Blaze nodded. He held out his index finger, and a bluebell flame struck the talisman square at the top. Aku dropped the flaming talisman onto a portion of the pentagram.

The flame spread until it completely replaced the chalk with flame. Strangely enough, the flames didn’t burn our feet. Then Aku-chan started murmuring in this strange language. “Atek Su Ot Chiyo Fushu!!!!” A bright light swirled around us as we were lifted off the ground. “Next stop,” Kei said, smiling. “Yochi Shufu!!”

Django groaned. “I just hope something doesn’t hold us at Rand-Weapon-Point. First it was Gun Del Sols, then spears, then tridents with stingray tails wrapped around the tips…” Kiyasume punched him playfully on the shoulder. “Django, just relax, and enjoy the fireworks.”

On the next chapter of Zatch Bell.EXE…

Upon arriving at Yochi, Laika discovers a place called the Cave of Unison, which tests the bond between two people. Two humans and their Mamodo each go into a chamber specifically designed for them. At the end is rumored to be a wonderful treasure. But the cave is also rumored to contain unimaginable trials and horrors. Will the team brave the Cave of Unison? Or are they more possibly doomed than they can imagine…

Yeah, you portrayed my character great too. Saru the monkey mamodo! He kinda looks like Son Goku from Saiyuki! And great chapter(s). The most recent one (i'd missed the last two) was awesome! I was amazed by the herioc-yet-tragic death of Orochikiri. And the Kentai chip was uber-powerful too! It is kinda sad that Zera killed a blood-relative, but it makes for a very moving plot-twist. I cannot wait to read more! Okay, I'll give credit to Crossfusion Starman for the idea. Good idea *You get a cookie!

Chapter 25: Yochi Shufu!! A Rock and a Hard Place!!!

When we last left our heroes/heroines, they were on the way to Yochi Shufu, the powerful and prosperous Earth Capital. They were suddenly attacked by a vicious plant, but it was quickly dispatched by a team of human and Mamodo:

Kei: a ten-year old genius from Yochi Shufu who’s quick to judge, and whacks people with the laptop strapped on his back. His Mamodo, Saru Saru Saruko, is a Mamodo/monkey/human hybrid with a good sense of humor, and is as carefree as the wind. His mind is locked with only thoughts of video games and food. He only has one fear, and that’s snow.

Mark: a quiet person hailing from parts unknown. He does not talk much, but is good in any crisis situation. His Mamodo, Blaze, is a fire manipulating Mamodo who’s a real firebrand. He tries to be funny, but he’s got a long way to go to get to Comedy Central.

Last but not least, Aku: a miniscule mystic from no one knows where. She seems sullen and gloomy, but she’s got a fun personality. Her Mamodo, Serenity, is practically a carbon-copy of her partner. Always ready to find she can manipulate her opponent with mind techniques.

Now that you know the three new characters, why—” Enzan burst into the narrating studio. “Hey!” he said. “Can you hurry the hell up with this story? I’m not getting any younger!!”

Enzan

After Aku used that transportation spell of hers, we were now passing through some kind of interdimensional gateway. Rainbow-colored hues swirled around us as we flew threw the portal. Taiyou looked around with a bored look. “Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is all nice and fine, but when are we going to get to Yochi? I’m dying of boredom here!!”

Kaze shot him an annoyed look. “Taiyou, just shut up and enjoy the lights. Don’t spoil it for the rest of us!”

Taiyou just crossed his arms angrily. “Hmph,” he said. “Women.”

Kaze looked at him, fire in her eyes. “What. Did. You. SAY!?” She didn’t even give him time to respond. She lunged at him, screaming angrily. Anetta, Meiru, Shuko, Kiyasume, and Kisoka, who heard his comment, followed suit. Yaito tried to attack, too, but I held her back. “Let me go, dammit!!!” she screamed. “Just let me get one hit, just one hit, and I’m done!!”

“We’re here!!” Aku yelled, getting everyone’s attention. The portal opened up below us, and we all tumbled out. We hit soft ground, and the portal closed and disappeared. We looked around. Large buildings were constructed out of earth and rock. A gigantic monument showing the kanji for “Earth” was erected in the middle of the city. Vendors set up street shops, and were selling all kinds of things. Kids were running back and forth in between different streets. The weirdest thing: kids were moving the earth…without touching it. This seriously set off some Avatar: The Last Airbender déjà vu.

“Ahh…” Kei’s voice broke my thoughts. “Home sweet home eh, Saru?” The monkey Mamodo nodded in agreement. “It’s been almost a month.”

Laika sighed. “Well,” he said, exasperated. “We better start searching for the Earth Gem.” Kaze looked around, then pointed to a pathway near the entrance to Yochi. “That’s a good place to start, huh?”

Laika stepped up. “I’ll scout the area ahead. You guys just find something to occupy yourself with.” He ventured off into the pathway. Zatch kicked a nearby stone. “Now what do we do?”

~~20 minutes later at a bar…~~

Netto

Bored with the town, we stopped at a nearby bar that was also an Inn. Django had gotten thrashed in half the time it takes for me to jack Rockman into a port. He set down his glass of vodka with a thump, and turned to the bartender. “Heeey, man, set meee upp wisha glass of scotch.” The bartender shook his head. “I’m sorry, sir, but I’m cutting you off. You’ve had enough.” Django reached over the counter and grabbed the bartender by his collar. “I’LL TELL YOU WHEN I’VE HAD ENOUGH!!!” Django screamed angrily. “NOW HIT ME!!!” The bartender shrugged. “As you wish.” He reached into a shelf of the counter, took out a large club, and bludgeoned Django with it.

Taiyou shook his head. “Not again. This happens everytime we go to a bar!! I still have nightmares about the ‘All-You-Can-Drink’ episode back at the bar in Hanagata!!”

Kiyasume sighed, and walked over to Django’s unconscious body, and grabbed him by the ankles. “I’ll take him up to the room. I swear, I’m gonna have to put one of those shock collar things on him so he stays away from bars!!” She grumbled angrily as she dragged Django up the stairs and into his room.

Suddenly, Laika burst through the door, exhausted, and his clothes in tatters. He looked around with a worried look. “Block the door!! For the love of God, help me block the damn door!!!”

I jumped into action. I ran over to the door, and pressed against the door. “Laika, what is going…” A powerful force slammed into the door, almost knocking me back. “What the hell was that!?” I cried. “Keep ramming, girls!!!” a female voice yelled from behind the door. “We know you’re in there, Laika!! No use resisting!!!”

I looked up at Laika with a confused look. “What is going on, Laika?” He took a deep breath, then let it out. “My worst nightmare…fangirls.” Taiyou gasped. “Did Enzan…?” Laika shook his head. “He didn’t make it. They’re giggling…like nails scratching on a frickin’ chalkboard!!”

BOOOOOM!!! The door jerked inward again. I looked toward the Solar Mamodo. “Taiyou!! What is this to you, a show!? Get the @#$% over here!!!”

He got up and backed against the door. “So…” I said, panting heavily while holding the door. “Did you find the Earth Gem, Laika?” He nodded. “I also found something interesting. But I need everyone else to come.”

“On 3 girls!!!” the female voice yelled. “1…2…3!!!!!” The door flew outward with tremendous force, sending us toppling into the middle of the bar, and the fangirls poured in. Laika looked at me with a worried look. “Netto…if we don’t make it out of this…I just want you to know…I went out with Meiru a year back and went to Castillo. We made out for almost a half our.”

I looked at him in extreme fury. “YOU DID WHAT!!!!! I swear to God, if we make it out of here, I am going to kill your sorry ass!!!!!”

“Soutei Kongen!!!” A mass of roots burst from the ground and held down the crazed fangirls. Flora motioned to the door. “Quickly, let’s get out of here!!!”

We ran out the door. One of the fangirls cried out in anger. “We’ll get you someday, Laika!! We got Enzan, AND WE’LL GET YOU, TOO!!!!!!”

Django

After I woke up and became sober (which took about an hour or two, I dunno), we escaped the rabid fangirls by the skin of our teeth. Literally, they almost made Taiyou’s fillings come out. Laika led us to where he found the Earth Gem. There was an opening to a large cave carved smoothly out of some kind of limestone. There was a kind of bad omen lingering around the mouth.

“I think this is some kind of building.” Laika said. “I asked some of the villagers what this was, and they called it the “Cave of Unison”. It’s supposed…well I don’t really know, let’s go in and found out.”

Kei walked ahead, leading the group. If anything was going to attack us, it would get him first. But we didn’t tell him that. There were several chambers with symbols carved above the mouth.

Yaito sighed, then placed her hands on her hips. “Where to now?” “Hold on…” Kei said. “Look at the symbols…” We looked closer. One was a set of a flower bathing in a golden sun’s rays. Another showed a sniper rifle and a sword. There were more, but the strangest one was Rockman’s symbol, carved neatly into a door.

We all sighed. “Well…” Rockman said from his PET. “Let’s go.” We all nodded and went into our appropriate chambers.

What lies in the depths of the Cave of Unison? Horrors beyond their imagination? Treasure that could make them filthy rich? And how did the fangirls find Laika? Why does Django have an intense drinking problem? All these questions will be answered in the next chapter.

Brilliant. Truly brilliant. Poor Laika... I wonder how those fangirls found him. What will become of Enzan? This looks like the next chapter will be a good one. I wonder if this cave is anything like the cave Yoh trained in to increase his mana (Shaman King). Looks like it needs some investigation! Keep up th- Darn, someone beat me to it!
