Just recently, the game formerly known simply as Splinter Cell 4 was unveiled as Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Apparently, in the fourth installment, Sam Fisher is in jail (I don't yet know why) and must escape and survive before he is uncovered. Double Agent will be released on the PS2, XB, XB 360, Gamecube, and PC in Spring 2006. The full preview is located at this address: http://pc.ign.com/articles/675/675627p1.html |

dude why do they think they can keep making these games, the first was good the second was exactly the same and so on. It wasn't as good as everyone says it is, this and the halo games are the reason xbox is so popular, random posers buy one just for those games. Geez people why can you not see it's gonna be exactly the same. |

Uh, I hate to say it, but Double Agent is NOT the same. It uses only a few elements from the first three games, but gives the series a needed overhaul. If you saw the cover story in the Jan 06 issue of Game Informer, you'd be surprised just how different this fourth installment is. |

I'm pretty sure Sam is in jail because he was wrongfully accused of something involving his daughter's murder. It was something along those lines, but I didn't pay enough attention to remember. |
