Fifth Digimon Series announced

well, in season 1, we learnt there were a group of digidestined before the ones we know from season 1 (before Tai, Sora etc). So maybe a story about them.
The only thing we know about them that years before the season 1 digidestined arrived in the digital world, the first digidestined came, and saved the digital world from something evil (i thought apocalymon, if the dub can be trusted).

I actually liked Frontier over all the rest... Most of the time in the others, the kids would just stand there and be useless. I think it was in the V-Jump manga that they were actually USEFUL...
I think after that comes Tamers, since they were somewhat useful with the cards..though all that Digimon Cossfusing was kinda..lame...

Adventure though is 'classic' so.... can't say too much about that.. Laughing

It's about time, personally. <_< I kinda missed the series, espeically with what passes as anime now. Let's hope it's good.

Awesome. I've been waiting for the fifth season, but they'll probably bring in a new set of kids. Most of the people who enjoyed the other seasons have probably moved on by now.

So a new season of Digimon has been announced has it? I am please to hear such an announcement as I've been expecting a fifth season for some time seeing that Digimon still has a strong following after Frontier ended a couple of years ago. I personally don't mind what the story is going to be behind this new seasom as long as it is one that follows the original formula that the first three seasons followed but using its own methods in the process.

And of course there has to be a kid with googles in it. In every season so far, we've had a boy with googles that seemed to be the leader. And his digimon usually got a special kind of Digivolving that the others didn't have/was the first to get a special kind of Digivolving before the others. ^_^;;

Yeah, there has to be a googleboy in the series, and his name either starts with a T or a D. But in japenese the D sound is just the T sound with two dots over it.

I cant wait. The first and third seasons were my favorite ones. I hope this one is as good as those two.

Does anyone else feel that it's going to be marvelous to be able to listen to new songs by AiM, Wada Kouji, Miyazaki Ayumi and Oota Michihiko? Hopefully they keep the traditional artists... I love their work.

The latest edition of the V-Jump tells us that the new series will be named "Digimon Savers" and there seems to be an ostrich-like Digimon named Peckmon that may be the main Digimon.

Ah. Gravedigging's allowed here as long as you have some sort of news, or a relevant question or something.

I agree there... I didn't mind the idea, but I think it would've gotten old if done twice.

If you've noticed in the past Digimon series, you'll notice that the Digimon that belongs to the leader/google boy is lizard/dinosaur like and has something to do with fire. ( For Digimon Frontier, look at BurningGreymon.)

If the 'main' Digimon ( As in belonging to the leader of the group, I'm guessing) is to be this so called 'Peckmon' then it's a bit of a nice change of pace. ( Maybe. But hopefully his Digivoutions will be better that what he sounds like. -_-; )

Who know what the other Digmon will be? *is hoping for Dorumon and Ryuudamon* X3
