At this point, this forum is to only be used if you are offering a type of Rockman related media - primarily animated music videos (amvs). Please do not offer clips or videos of the dub version of NT Warrior, I rather would not like to get sued. Thank you.

1) MARK SPOILERS - if your video has them, that is. Any episode that is either not been released dubbed or subbed is considered a spoiler.

2) ONLY post works that are YOURS. You are not allowed to post another person's work, even if you have their permission. There are no excuses on this subject. It is called ART THEFT if you do.

3) From now on, all your AMVs are to remain in a single thread, regardless of how much time has passed between your previous posts. Keep all your AMVs to one thread. When naming your thread make sure to label it something general like "RandomUser's AMVs".

4) It is your responsibility to find your own host for your videos. Do not plead to others, or even worse, badger me to host them for you. I will not do so.

5) DON'T STEAL FOOTAGE DIRECTLY FROM OTHER AMVS. I will ban you instantly from both the forum and the site if I find you doing this, and believe me, I watch every Rockman video made to make sure. As do all my friends. We will find you. And hurt you. Badly.

6) Please offer good advice. Flaming will not be tolerated. Comments like "That's good!" or "Nice vid!" are not bad, but are not really what a video editor is looking for. Tell them WHAT you liked so much, or what they can improve on. That's what this forum is FOR. Helpful critique.

7) If you are posting an AMV, please include all information about it in the following format:

Editor - AMV Title - Finished/Unfinished - No/Yes Spoilers

Example:
Ryouko - Digital Anguish - Finished - Spoilers

8) You are allowed to post a preview of your AMV to receive critique and helpful advice. However, you may only do this one at a time. You may not post another AMV until you have completed your previous one. If it happens that you no longer wish to complete an AMV, notify either myself or Plantman by PM, and we will delete your old thread.

9) Media can be from any anime or video game - but please no live action stuff (such as LA Sailormoon, Star Trek, Buffy, whatever). There are other forums for that kind of stuff.

10) Other media besides AMVs are allowed here - but if you post remixes of songs, please make them original, not a direct rip. Put some effort into it.

11) Do not ask the AMV creator what song it is they used in their videos. If they want to tell you, they will do so in their video description. You are watching the AMV for the video, not what song it is.

12) THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO REQUEST EPISODES.

Er, AMV-fangirlish happiness aside, do you think there might should be a rule concerning effort put into a music video? Like, don't take two full clips from your video section and stick them together to a song.. XD;

Oh yeah, and I started typing up a little AMV technique/guideline walkthrough thing, just for new people. Would you mind if I post it here if I ever finish it?
One last thing, are we allowed to post non-Rockman music videos? Cos I had a JSRF one in the works that I might finish up and post after AnimeFEST. Do we just do the normal thing and tag it with OT?

Indeed...but I have a proposition.

Instead of immediately nixing the ability to create polls, why not turn this into an experiment to see if the population of REO is able to handle polls responsibly?

My proposition would entail leaving the poll-ability open here for some time, and observe the threads that are created as a result of it. If the polls result in garbage or unnecessary deviant behavior, then by all means disable it. If it turns out good, perhaps it means that the polls can be slowly reintroduced into the general forums.

I have a question. Do all of the media posted here has to be AMVs or can they be anything else? Say, remixes of original songs, piano arranges, the like.

To reply to questions. For now the AMVS to be posted here have to be Rockman Related. EDIT: Okay, Ryo said they can be of any Anime/Videogame, so shot at will XD

As for the Polls I'm sure it was prolly unintended as Ryo created the forum way late at night.

Ryo said she wanted to keep this place for the media issues, that'd mean your original remixes and arrangementes of Rockman songs, of course it would have to be your own work.

Mer, actually I was intending for this section to be for any media in general. If you have song mixes that you created, post away! I'd love to hear something original. AMVs can be from any anime or video game - just no live action footage like from Sailormoon or Star Trek please.

Polls are useless and a waste of space. If you want to post an opinion, explain in words. Polls are just lazy.

DeadlySerenade: As much as I wish I could make a rule for quality, that's just too big of a grey area. The best I can offer is to ask members here to give good and quality advice - so their next video can improve.

A walkthrough / tutorial would be GREAT. I also have an offer for you, which I will PM immediatly.

Okay, quick question: some of my AMV's have words that probably shouldn't be heard by anyone under the age of 10 (Curse words, not dirty words. you know what I mean.). Can I post them or not? Also, If I have a scene in a AMV without subtitles, it means that I used the dub version of that episode, and it wasn't stolen from anyone's AMV. just wanted to clear that up(I've been accused of stealing from AMV's before because of that. -_-; ).

I am pretty sure that we are smart enough to tell what is stolen from AMVs and what is not. Dub and sub episodes are pretty much the same anyway. But just wait for Ryouko's reply.

I have a question: I have a AMV im going to upload to "yousendit" and then post the link in the forum.
The question is , I have some footage thath many Rockman exe AMV's have (there arent stolen) , is it alright to post my AMV it in the forums?

If you have scenes you've taken yourself and cut off from the original RAWS/Subs, by all means it's ok. But if you take bits -this is how other creators have arranged the scenes for their AMVs- off someone else's AMVs, it is NOT allowed.

I presume Flash movies are a given. Fan Movies... you'd have to elaborate on that one further, as it goes into fan movies made through models/toys, to fan movies at the "Megaman Movie" types.

I am quite unsure of what Ryo would decide about Live Action 'cosplaying' being used on the videos, though. Until she answers to this I'd recomend against it.

As long as the live action footage is video YOU took personally, and not liscensed material, then that is fine.

Flash movies are also fine.
