Hey look, I made a topic for once. Anyway, it seems tonight, Sept. 20, Toonami is aired for the last time. http://www.toonamiinfolink.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1181 http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=26153
It did last 10 years so that's something to say. No clue what they're going to do but Wikipedia says something. I just didn't mention it since it's from Wikipedia.

I think this should be in General. Anyway, because I'm lazy, I'll just repost what I said on Arlong Park:

I've never had cable, so I really can't say that I have a large amount of affection for it, but I do have some good memories being at my Grandmother's house and watching it during the years of Tom and his spaceship. It's too bad it's been on life support lately, but I guess it's about time to pull the plug. I don't like to think of what CN will re-mold it into.

It's been a shadow of itself ever since it became a puny block of Naruto and reruns around two years or so. Ever since FUNI's One Piece dub was chopped, I have absolutely no reason to watch CN at all. A shame.

Man, I remember watching Toonami when it first came on; when it was practically nothing but DBZ and Gundam Wing. XD

Unfortunately, Toonami has been "dead" to me for quite some time (bit of a stronger word than I'd like to use, but it's the only one that seems to fit). It's gone through so many changes that it's a shadow of its former self.

It would've been nice if Toonami could've gone back to the way it was when ads like these really demonstrated what Toonami was about, but I guess now it's too late.

Pity, it had so much potential. I just wish that people will never forget what they have shown people for the past eleven years. Hope good anime will still run and not get botched by bad dubbers in the near future.

I feel kinda bad i didn't have cable for their last airing...

Also, the new anime block better continue with Naruto. It was so close to Shippuden ><

And I made an emoticon (I think that's what it's called?) tombstone for Toonami on my Wii message board. u_u (To bad it skipped to 21st before I was finished >< oh well...)

Shocked

Holy cow, seriously? I was at a friend's Sweet 16 party from 6 to 11, so I wasn't able to watch Toonami, but... wow. Seriously? It's over? Just like that? O_O

I hope they continue with Naruto. Please let them continue with Naruto.

... Wait, but then what will happen to Toonami Jetstream? Will they just rename it, or get rid of it? (Oh please let them just rename it or something. ;-; )

The Toonami I once enjoyed died a long time ago.

It started going down hill when they shortened it to two hours: "The Naruto Hour" and "The Not Anime in a Anime Block Hour".

The only bad thing I see about this is One Piece is homeless now...unless it goes to Adult Swim.

I wholeheartedly agree with that. I was mad when good shows like Yu Yu Hakusho went off the air. I was mad when Cyborg 009 just...stopped.

I was mad when the horrendous dubbing of One Piece and Naruto came to be (but then, they fixed up one piece, didn't they...)

Either way, I'd just skip Toonami and just wait for Adult Swim to come on.

oh, and don't even get me started on miguzi.

Yes. It was. And I didn't know if it fit in here or General so I just put it here.
People are sad about it. Hopefully they'll put Naruto and possibly One Piece on somewhere. Too bad they did this so close to Adult Swim messing up the Saturday schedule.

How horrible, Toonami is what got me into so many thins, like Zoids and Sailormoon. If CN hadn't moved it to Saturdays, maybe it would still be here. And apparently they had NT Warrior coming to it on Jetstream along with Star Force. That stinks, now no chance of Axess coming back

Actually, I checked on Wiki, and, if it's actually right for once, they're going to technically replace Toonami with an action cartoon/anime block that'll be showing on Fridays. So if you're still hoping for Axess or NT Warrior in general to come back, that's probably your best bet. (Providing that CN is actually making an action anime block. :/ )

I still believe it was very fitting of Tom to go "Bang." right at the end.

Steve knows his fans.

Huh?

Toonami died off here ages ago. But then again, Australia got the short end of the stick even when it came to dubbed Animes...we never even got any of the Gundam series before Wing for instance. Half of the Anime for us were on Fox Kids anyway, before that died as well.

I don't even know what we have at the moment, I haven't watched CN in ages. It was just too trashy.

Oh I wasn't suggesting that we didn't. I was just surprised people were so attached to Toonami.

I was sad when that action cartoon timeslots around dinner that CN had when I was younger died. The one which had Centurions and other things, that was a good segment.

Toonami...was too gimmicky for me and the robot mascot no longer had any real involvement at all after about a year. It just became another Anime timeslot. In fact one of our regular free to air channels got most of the Shounen anime before CN did. They'd screened al of DBZ before CN even started the Cell Saga here.

Sorry. But yeah. People really like the block. But a lot of us saw it from the start and got a lot of anime from it. That's why.

Note: Jetstream posted a video on their site, detailing some of the directors' inspirations for the action block we knew as Toonami. Worth looking at least once.
