Beast ep 1: "Beyondard" Review and Opening/Ending

I finally saw it, and I have to say that on the originality scoreboard I give it about a six, once again they change practically nothing about the world and the beast out thing was too early and the idea wasn't very well thought out. Unless I missed something the entire sequence had no real signifogance, he uberanizes pwns them they go home to their spouces and Rockman is left with a power hungry baby. I see nothing of real interest here, kinda like when I saw axess I felt the same thing, practically nothing had changed and the plotline felt sour, those are my thoughts don't kill me.

Watching this and the Movie clips in the same day made me want to explode from joy.o_o

Hopefully they'll give us an explanation for where all this beast forest stuff came from this Saturday, though.x_x

Though I think Aka-chan acts as a portal to the beast forest place, he(She? It?x_x) has the beastish virii jumping from his pockets in the opening theme.(Rush, anyone?>_>)

I watched the episode today (twice)

I gotta say this is awesome, Aka-chan reminds me of my neighbor(crying). That beast out was awsome(too). Overall it was good, but I found some animation errors wich I wont say now, thenew pwt is kinda weird in the arm, but atleast they chanhed the screen

The Navi on the shoulder thing makes me think one thing.

We need Rockman on one shoulder, Dark Rockman on the other, both telling Netto to respond the opposite way to a situation.

That would be awesome. Perhaps Tabby could cibfy that situation? Anyway, I saw it and while I dont agree with Kupos lack of freshness. I do agree that the beast outs were waaaaayyyyyy to early.

I little indifferent towards the Beast-Outs' timnig in the episode. Here's my reasoning:

Pros:
1) It was a nice alternative to Cross Fusion, something that was sorely needed in Stream.
2) It may reveal that NetBattles will be more frequent through the season.
3) It gave us a quick answer to Aka-chan's purpose.

Cons:
1) They came on a little too strong.
2) It didn't give the audience enough feeling of suspence

I feel that the writers must have had Rock change so soon for a reason, possibly to give him an early edge over the Zoanaroids (excuse me if I spelled that wrong ^_^ Wink

Or maybe the beast-outs aren't as kickass as they are in the games. Maybe it's just as powerful as (maybe) the other tranformations to come.

I cant wait until (if they ever) use the new crosses, because whereever theres Heatman and Elecman, there's gotta be Wackoman and Magicman. fufufufufu color and magic cross anyone. I'm also looking forward to hearing the voices for the new navis.

I don't know about that, Flame.

I mean [spoil:869c0a77cd]R-Rock, Blues, and Search did use a combined Program Advance on Griega and Faltzer, and they didn't leave a scratch. But when Rocky Beast-Out, he took them down in... what, two hits each?[/spoil:869c0a77cd] I'd say thats pretty powerful.

Whether it's stronger in the games or the anime, I don't know for sure.

My thoughts on the ep:

I though it was interesting. Why did Greiga and Falzar leave Beyonard? Why are they fighting? How do they appear in the real world? How the heck does Aka trigger the Beast out? Has Famous's role regressed to simply pushing the Button? Hopefully, these will be answered later in the series.

I thought the CGI could have been improved slightly. During the scene in the sport stadium, Greiga and Falzar's animation looked especially at odds with the surroundings. If they could hand draw Gospel and show him wrecking netcity, I'm pretty sure they can hand draw the beasts.

Okay, that aside Aka has to have a link to the Cyber Beasts somehow, the fact he is the key to Beast Out is indicitive that this must be the case.

It would take ALOT of time and effort to actually animate those beasts. they have ALOT of detail in them.

The point is that Grega and Faltzer looked awesome on that episode. At least now Rockman has the ability to go Beast Mode.

This is just a thought, but maybe Greiga and Faltzer are the anime's substitute for Alpha; in other words, they may have been created by Tadashi Hikari. Maybe...

My theory is that Beyondard was an advanced Cyber World that existed ages ago. For some reason, though, it collapsed and was forgotten about, lost in history forever. Somone or something still remembers it, though, and has reawakened Falzer and Greiga for their own purposes. Well, it's a little far-fetched but the EXE series has had several different wierd things so it's a possibility.
