OH. You meant guys. Well yes, male villains are rarely sexy, because they're big dumb adults. But there are some good looking villains, like Seshomaru from InuYasha, the atlanteans from Yugioh, and alot of the opponent beybladers are nice to look at. There are others, but I'm not as immersed in anime as I'd like to be.

Sure that's easy. Netto wants to be the best, and to do that, you have to beat the best and. That's Enzan. It's a rivalry. At first it's a pretty hostile one, but the rivalry eventually turns into a friendship, as they do most of the time. These guys like fighting to test each other and see who's the best. Both characters are ultimately good, but they are different in so many ways, so there is conflict there too. If ever you see the main character develop a rivalry, I'd bet money that that rival will become the main characters brother in arms.
Take Beyblade. Tyson (Takao, I use english name) wants to be the world championship beyblader. But then theres Kai, the best. Eventually they become the best of buddies, but they are also rivals, so they are always trying to one up each other. I mean, the characters are basically identical to Netto and Enzan. Tyson likes eating, sleeping in and battling oponents and he's a little full of himself. Netto likes the exact same thing. Kai never talks, fights ruthlessly, is a loner, and is known as a legend in his feild, as is Enzan. They even look the same! White and gray hair!
This is already a long post so I'll stop here. But I'll write more if asked. The parrallels are everywhere, especially in Shonen.
