DASH 3 and Rockman 9 - never to see the light of day?

The ports were probably just to make a bit more money, but for those who are saying it isn't true: it's as official as words straight out of Inafune's mouth. There's not going to be a DASH 3, so speculating on it is still worthless.

If he isn't making it he still has a mind of his own and there fore freewill and could change his mind in the future and make them. Yes both DASH 3 and MM9 are always possibilities as long as free will exists.

Kojima said that Metal Gear solid three was the last of the Solids then he turns around and starts work on Metal Gear Solid 4 so it is compleatly possible that just because one say they arent going to make something, that they still can because of FREE WILL.

I think you're confussing 'free will' with 'change of mind'. And he could change his mind about it any day, but for now this is all the official wording we have.

Not sure about Dash 3, but they probably will get around to making 9. MAYBE when they get to 8 to all the other series.

Arguable on Mega Man. Mega Man & Bass, Mega Man Battle & Chase, and Super Adventure Rockman all came after 8, even if they aren't a part of the "proper" sequential numbering system(with the half-exception of MM&B).

As for X, it's too soon to say that it's stopped, and it's under another team now anyway. I don't think its numbers hold any more bearing on Classic and Legends than Resident Evil or Street Fighter's, now.

It's not really a question of the numbers of the games, but it's really just that they don't sell as well as new serieses, once they've gotten into the higher digits. The X series for instance, seems to be alive and kicking at this point, and they're more than likely going to keep making new games for it. With the DS now, it seems largely possible for Capcom to pull off massively awesome things with the Battle Network series, and should they do that I wouldn't be at all surprised. The Zero series.. I'm not too sure about that one. Seems pretty popular, but :/ could go either way I spose. Eventually it seems as though it will lead up to DASH, which is yet another reason I still believe DASH 3 may be coming sooner than we think.

While a large part of me wants to see a DASH 3 (I recently found 2 and am now addicted to the series), another part of me doesn't want to see it. Why? Well for me, part of the charm of the DASH series is the animation, and the graphics. And while I'd love to see it on the current-gen consoles, it'd lose some of that "old school" charm, and for me just wouldn't be the same.

Okay, so "old school" applies more to the 2-D generation... I was trying to differentiate between the earlier 3D graphics like in the DASH series, and the blatant eye candy we have now, and that was the best thing I could come up with ^^;

Well DASH's 3D graphics were behind even their own time, so they're sort of old skool.

Personally, even if the graphics were to be updated, I seriously doubt that they'd throw away that cartoony look. And even if they did can you like imagine, going through beatifully done ruins? Or Elysium for that matter. Shewt, Elysium looked awesome in DASH's crappy graphics, I can't imagine how ungodly awesome it would look in super high quality.

The Staff of Dash(many of which are now the EXE staff) Displayed an intrest in making Dash 3, but they can't if EXE continues to be successful.
