Of course, in daily life, not only you but also we the Japanese use "-san" to honor third people.
On the contrary, when you are working at Japanese company, it is better that you don't use "-san" after your boss' post name to honor him/her.
As you know, there are many post's name in Japanese company.
The post's name is already the honorofic, so you don't need to add another honorific.
However, even if it is not right way, it is sometimes permitted that (especially foreign) women add "-san" after the post's name (especially of male boss) to call her boss.
But if you are a man, you should not do it. _________________ I am a Japanese, and one of translators of Puku Anime.

I was just thinking...why does Makoto call him Meijin-kun then, wouldn't that be a little illogical? _________________
