Hmm.
By far, my favorite is DreamSword. Cheap, effective, and efficient at 400 damage and 6 panel range. It has always found its way into my folders in one way or another from early on.
Alternately, other PAs that I have used throughout the game are:
Gater: Because if I didn't, I'd lose. Seriously. Bah-roken.
2xHero: 700 to all targets, 1000 potential on first turn. Nothing to sneeze at.
BigNoise: 500 damage to 10 panels, regardless of invisible? I'll take it. On top of that, it paralyzes too! _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! What about Master Cross?
I love master cross. Although it requires 4 chips its worth it! It dishes out 500 damage for all the crosses attacks, plus extra 100 for the explosion at the end. So awsome.(Sort of like Master Style, but not requiring Megachips, Thank goodness... )
Then 2xhero is great too! It does massive damage(So much fun...XD). The Darkness P.A. is great for finishing off opponents.
Master style isn't that bad... I guess whats so annoying about it is that it requires 4 megachips, which could mess up your folder.( I would prefer Master cross)
And yes, lifesword. The most basic, yet very fun P.A. that dishes out 400 damage. Being able to use sword as a regular chip, with widesword and longsword as tagchips.(Do they fit the 60 mb? I forgot... -_-; )
I forgot to mention Piledriver and Bodyguard. Those two were my favorites.(I killed Nebula Grey with Piledriver XD) I also liked Bodyguard because I beat so many powerful navis with it. _________________

I'm going to have to go with the pile driver, because of the damage it can do at its max and because it's from Boktai. _________________ Formerly known as LunarSun

i LOVED MasterCross. the first time i used it on my friend, he stared at the screen like he was in a Honeycomb commercial - his mouth was open in astonishment. he hated me for a couple days because i never told him how i did it (he figured it out eventually).

i liked PileDriver too, but it absolutely sucked when you missed, and if your opponenet was in the back row. im assuming you have a lot of stunning chips then? _________________ Avatar by Tabby (of my NetNavi, GuincoolMind.EXE) : : :

EXE 1
- Guts Shoot. Only PA that deals good damage, if not the best.
EXE 2
- Gater. 100 damage that hits 9 times.
- Bodyguard. 100 damage that hits 18 times.
- Dream/Life Sword. 600 damage on 1 giant slash.
- Dark Messiah. 3000 damage. What's up with that?
- Heavy Stamp. 800 damage to 1 closest foe.
- Big Heart. 500 damage is okay, but it's always useful when you've taken so much damage.
EXE 3
-Zeta FumikumiCross/StepCross. Unlimited amount of 260 damage. Not bad.
-Zeta Variable Sword. Using Element Sword attack of course.
-Akuretsuzan/EvilCut. Stepsword, Herosword, and Stepcross combo in 1 strike.
-Endless Curse. Needs foe to attack you like Guards and Curse Sheilds, but will bite at foes 15 times, dealing 100 damage.
-Double Hero. 70 damage times 10 attacks.
-Bodyguard. Same as EXE 2.
EXE 4
-Jigoku Hockey 3/PitHockey 3. Needs some work, but damaging once set-up.
-Piledriver. Up to 800 super-piercing damage. Very nice.
-Bodyguard. Shoots 10 shurikens instead of 18. Oh well.
-Dark Messiah Neo. Dark Rockman only PA. Biggest drawback ever.
EXE 5
-Mugen Vulcan 3. 20 damage times 28 shots. Pretty long, though.
-Jigoku Hockey/PitHockey. No more 100 x 18 anymore, but 100 x 9 shall do.
-Bodyguard. Bah! Dropped down to 70 damage now, but still spills 10 shurikens.
-Big Noise. Super-piercing sonicwave. Not bad I suppose.
-Piledriver. Eww. Why 600 damage now?
Spoiler to those who have not played Battle Network 6 yet.
EXE 6
[spoil:7656d2df82]-StreamHead. Aura heads return, giving us a PA of their own. 150 damage times 5. Pretty good.
-Jigoku Hockey/PitHockey. Eh. Helped me before, then i'll trust it again this game.
-Giga Count Bomb. Does 700 damage this game. Not much good against the clown though.
-Destroy Pulse. Best PA ever, although a small 400 damage.
-Bodyguard. Returns to 100 damage yet spills 10 shurikens again. PA now takes the form of Antidamage chip.
-Sun and Moon. Love this PA as it requires no Mega Chip (despite the fact that 2 of the 3 chips combined to form this PA act like Mega Chips).
-Double Hero. Same as EXE 3, but deals 60 damage times 10 attacks. Hmph.[/spoil:7656d2df82]
Well, those are it for me. Haven't played Transmission yet. Jeez, I really want to see how Zero Counter works. There's also Phantom Network if there are any PAs in that game. |

Have any of you compared BN2's darkness P.A. to BN6's? BN2's Darkness P.A. takes 3000, and BN6's takes 300! What a waste! I mean, look at the Bass chip. It's almost as strong as the advance itself! Sheesh I was dissapointed on that one... |

You're missing a few points there.
Dark Messiah in EXE2 required a special chip that I believe you had to go to a special event to recieve, similiarly to the Kaizou cards. Therefore, it is to little surprise that it is extremely overpowered. Unlike its EXE2 predecessor, the chips are in EXE6 are far relatively easier to get.
Also, Dark Messiah in EXE6 isn't really that bad at all. It deals 300 damage in two hits. The first attack is of sword element ([spoil:663ef8ca8f]Tenguman/Tengu Cross users go ka-boom there[/spoil:663ef8ca8f]) and the second attack is a fire-type attack, easily powered up by a ridiculous amount if the enemy is on grass panels and if the user is in full synchro. ([spoil:663ef8ca8f]in turn, Tomahawkman/Tomahawk Cross users goes asplodey in this respect.[/spoil:663ef8ca8f])
In fact, I quite liked Dark Messiah in this game - not like in EXE6 where you had to be dark souled to use it. >_>
Also also, Dark Messiah in EXE6 does not come in an odd code this time around (X code in EXE2. Sheesh.) but in F code. _________________

Good point, but there are way stronger Advances out there. Darkness in BN6 just seemed kinda Mediocre. In BN2, the letter code didn't matter as long as you got it in the first turn (Hubstyle or Cust. Style), because you'd kill them instantly anyway. |

Spoilers to those few of you who haven't played BN6 just yet!
[spoil:19caf56991]My favorite PA would have to be StreamHead. It does a total of 750 damage, but if you're in full synchro it does an impressive 1500 damage! Also, it doubles again if you're facing a sword-type navi or virus bringing the total damage to 3000!! I was able to kill Slashman SP in one fell swoop with this thing.[/spoil:19caf56991] |

Those are really basic advances, but pretty decent ones. When it comes to the basic simple ones, I like LifeSword 3 from BN2, TimeBomb+, Hyper Ratton, and the O-Cannons.
What does Streamhead of BN6 do. I would imagine that it would make a Aurahead yoyo type attack that is more powerful than the regular version of it. Is that what it does? |

I think Streamhead fires a series of AuraHeads that go all the way off the edge of the screen, farther than the usual AuraHead attack does. _________________

That sounds cool. My favorite Advance from BN6 would be Master Cross. Its way better than Mystery Style from BN3. At least it doesn't take Mega Chips to make it. Just 4 standard ones. |

Dream/Beta/LifeSword always, like Mid, goes into my folder somehow someway. 400 damages with a 2x3 range is just too sweet to leave out.
Besides, I always have been fond of the 'ZOMG BIG SWORD'. :O
Asiding from that, BodyGuard and also Pile Driver somehow goes into my folder either. Asiding from that, it's probably also the Double Hero P.A. from EXE 3 that I love a lot, espeically that it can deal up to 1000 damage with an Attack +30.
Played EXE 6, never eally got into with its PAs, so I dono any of those PAs. _________________

I haven't done many but I know I hate the Z-Cannon and Betasword...Yay multiple shots...
I like Poison Pharoah for it's sheer coolness, and my favorite is probably Lifesword, I killed so many navis with in on my first BN4 Playthrough...

>.< I really didn't like how they had those P.A. restrictions in BN5. I mean, you could only use one certain P.A. per battle (ex. can only use Lifesword once per battle). It certainly made building a P.A. folder more difficult, since you couldn't just abuse Lifesword like in BN4 and such.
That's why I like BigNoise and WildBird so much; they're pretty good and come in the S code. BigNoise can cover the entire field if you're in your middle column and paralyzes the opponent. WildBird hits the two columns ahead of you like LifeSword, but deals an extra 200 hp on the second column, proving it superior to the oft-broken P.A.
Yeah, and LifeSword comes in S code, too, so hah!
But I still like MasterStyle as my favorite. ^_^ I don't care if it's 4 Megachips; it still owns just about anything on the field. And it comes in * code, so that's a plus in my book.
I've never played BN2, so I can't comment on the P.A.'s there. Are they really that great? |

Lifeswrd is the basis of all my folder. It is simple, effective, and easy to get the components for.
Yes, the BN2 PAs are that great. Lifeswrd3 has got to be the most broken PA that exists. It does 600 damage, lifeswrd range (of course), the components are fairly easy to obtain in * code, and the components are fairly useful by themselves. That plus HubStyle makes it so you pratically guaranteed to get it in the first pick. _________________ All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu... This is the truth!
