Does Tokyopop and 4kids seriously suck?

What happened to that kid that used to hang out with Sonic and his pals? I haven't really watched the series at all lately and I finally watch an Episode and it's a take-off of Sonic Adventure. What happened to the originality of the series? Why are they now using the storyline of the video games? Confused

Well, I don't really have much problems with Tokyopop.

I've been reading their Love Hina mangas and find it kind funny when they put SOME slang terms in it. Just, sometimes I'm confused when they have some of those slangs terms in. But, one of the best translation changes they did was in Volume 12.

Naru punches Keitaro up into the air for hugging Kanako in a so-called "strange" way, and when he is flying she says,

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING?! YOU PERVERT!! she yells.

Keitaro replies while in the air, "IS THAT ONE OF THOSE TRICK QUESTIONS?!"

I loved that part!

But, I do say, their Initial D mangas ARE CRAP! I only read now, Love Hina, Kill me, Kiss me, .Hack// Legend of the Twilight, DN Angel, and GetBackers.

I think the pricing is pretty well for them. But I do also say VIZ has a HIGH price, but for good manga like Angel Sanctuary, I don't argue.
I actually also like the Megaman EXE manga that VIZ is doing, it's almost like the original, but with a bit of the stuff cut. I give congrats to the artist for that series. JUST LOOK AT THE SAITO/HUB STYLE PICTURES ON THIS SITE!!

Now I bit farewell, and I will not say anymore about this topic, unless I really need to.

Yeah Viz is now like 7.95..........except for that shiney FMA manga. (Cost me 10 bucks. Sad

) But some of the TokyoPop manga I read seems fine. (I only bought to of their series.) Comic Party seems alright and so is .Hack//LOTT. So I have nothing against tokyopop....so far.....But for 4Kids, they scerwed One peice in the ass so much. >_<

Yeah One Piece was one of their biggest mistakes. But at least the rest of their lineup isn't THAT bad. (Plus One Piece has it's own problems even without 4Kids.)

I just wish they would treat One Piece a lot better simply because there are dozens of people bitching about it and it's pissing me off. I get really sick of going to the Toonzone talkbacks every week only to listen to people whine, bitch, and point out potential trolling incidents made by other members. Hell last week's talkback had already one page full those types of comments and the episode didn't even air yet! You don't clutter up talkbacks with dub bashing, that's why it's not allowed here!

As for Tokyopop, I can't really say since I've never read any of their mangas. Heck the only mangas I've ever read were the original Dragon Ball and Shaman King. Though I'd like to get ahold of the Tokyo Mew Mew ones soon. (And no one bitch about how badly 4Kids dubbed that either! I'm on a short fuse right now after thinking about those Toonzone members. I'm gonna give'em a biiiiig piece of my mind the minute I see the next One Piece talkback up.)
