As far as I know, Bandai still has the rights to Rockman, not counting EXE. And I think I heard somewhere that Bandai and Jazwares don't get along too well, I forget the reasons why. I think Bandai wouldn't let Jazwares use their model kit molds here for some reason, but I might be mistaken, it's been a long time since I heard it. |
Since Bandai has their own branch in the U.S. Bandai Japan feels no need to make deals with other companies. Sadly Bandai U.S.A. does not see any potential with the Rock Man toyline (I guess they think it's risky since there's no Rock Man (classic) show to market with or something...)
Saying Capcom Japan liking the figures is really vague, how do we know this isn't the janitor or mail room boy who liked the figures?
Well I already have plenty of people with me on the whole anti-nose on Ice, Wood, and Heat Man campaign... |

Yeah, that's pretty much it right there. Most, if not all, of Bandai USA's fare is heavily supported by other media beyond games...

Guess that depends how much credit you give Jesse. Though really, I doubt everyone in the company got their hands on them...

Good luck with that. I wouldn't mind noseless, myself, though these just look a bit odd, not horrible, to me.

In fairness, those were the 10" figures from Wave 1, rather than the 6" ones. Didn't know we were looking at the other scales, too. |
Well...yeah, but I know I've seen those colors in the smaller figures too. Somewhere. KB? Maybe they were an exclusive or something, but I know I saw them. Anyhow, you can also count the metallic ones as repaints. I'm just saying...lets not let this happen: http://www.toymania.com/toyshows/tf2005/full/tf05jazwares14.shtml
The only variant I'm waiting for is the battle damaged Megaman. That one looked cool. (And of course, the red and white Megaman with Rush adapter set. Hehe)

How about interchangable faces? Pop one off and stick another on.
Another idea could be a "build your own" Megaman set. Sorta like the Astro Boy set of the same name. You get a basic endo skeleton and just put the parts you want on him, the face you want, hair or helmet, buster or arm, fist or hand, in the colors you want, and as a bonus you can give it light up and sound options. It would be expensive, but as long as it has plenty of action (articulation) and didn't look horrendous, I'd buy it. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |

Not recolor mania! Guh...
The battle damaged figure was just a display piece, I doubt they'd mass produce that. |

Indeed, which is a shame.

Rush feels so much like a Retro Roto, I wonder ifI could have a retro roto figure ride on the Rush Jet. |
