Not necessarily. His body was killed yet again, but though the circumstances of his death were a bit different, Sigma could've whipped out his old bag of tricks again. Even if Sigma died for good, there's still Lumine that could make a reappearance. |

Hopefully. Maybe in any othe X games there'll be a sigma copy or something you fight just before lumine. Not the real sigma but just a copy.
Then in the last one sigma comes back you fight him and lumine then they combine and that finishes the both of them off. I think I have an idea to make it work. |

Hopefully there will be an X game where they will show the Elf wars. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

The Elf Wars are better left open to interpretation. |

Sometimes leaving too much to interpretation leads people to believe things like X and Zero being Rock and Rush. <_< _________________ deviantART / Live Journal / Yaoi Gallery |

A sub-series would be better. It would need to be something with a bold, epic-sounding name, like Rockman: Destiny.
Each game would be no less than a decade apart to cover everything there is to cover between the X and Zero series. Lots of really heart-wrenching things would need to happen to X, just for the sake of drama.
I personally hate loose ends in my stories. Some sense of closure is much more fulfilling. |

Lets hope it will stay a sub-series and not cause any plot discrepencies. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

A full series placed between two established series can't cause any plot holes if the story writers stick to portraying the story that was laid down, rather than dancing around it with their own crap.
What I meant by sub-series was that it would tie in more strongly with the X series than the Zero series, but its story would take a somewhat different direction than the previous X games. It would a sort of Megaman X, Act II if you will. |

I haven't played X8 yet, nor do I know if I want to, however, Sigma can never die. Besides, I believe it was in Z3 where they said Sigma wasn't gone until the EW came about. Nonetheless, I want a game on the Elf Wars. Just one single game. It does not have to be a continuous series (although, Capcom seems to make EVERY game a continuous series no matter how much it does not need to be).
MegaMan - BN - X - Zero - Zx (probably) - Legends
Hmmmmmmmm, wonder where they might add another series in there. _________________ Once I was Dr Kain, but I died and have been reborn as Gankutsuou. |

Yeah and they have trouble ending the series they create. It goes on and on until they decide to not work on it anymore and start a new series that somewhat ties into the previous one. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

I believe they said the Maverick Virus wasn't wiped out until after Cyber Elves were created, not the Sigma Virus. They're two related, but different things. |

*sigh* About the debris .. you're right ya'll. But um, that can't really stop me from hoping that it might be Zero there, can it? ^_~
And about Sigma - he's "disappeared" or something before the Elf Wars. There's no knowing if he'll be back.
Oh and, Lumine is that purple girly-guy reploid in X8 right? I haven't played X8 yet. _________________

Not only that, but an alternate license as well.

I am firmly of the belief that Zero is not there among that debris.

Yeah, Lumine is that one, and if the E3 trailer holds true... Sigma isn't coming back.

So there was no sigma in the Elf wars. The "Sigma" they were referring to in MMZ3 is a clone. _________________ Guernsey Adams Pierre

...Why would Weil do that? Last I checked, he wanted Zero dead!
Anyway, a lot of this is speculation and sadly, I think ZX is all we're getting... :O _________________ The time is come. Bid farewell to your bloodstained past.

When i first aw ending of RZ4 i was sad, very sad.But then i remembered what happened to X series and i think its very good ending.
But maybe Zero is not exactly dead?Maybe he's a Cyber Elf...just like X?I hope we never get another Zero Revival because then Capcom will suffer the series forever.
XP
One more thing.Zero CAN'T be aliva after such a big crash!This is stupid!He's dead,tratatata and stuff(OMG!I'm going crazy!O_o). |

Well, since this thing has been revived and I have been wondering about the ending of Zero 4 also after reading parts of it I took a second and third look at the ending. This is what I found out, and I will mark it with a spoiler tag so that anyone that has not played the game yet will not see.
[spoil:9ac13d05da]
The last scene of Rockman/Megaman Zero 4.
http://www.wolfeclipse.com/wolfeclipse/temporary/ZeroHelm.gif
Now, this is the same scene with things removed to show something that I observed from looking at it.
http://www.wolfeclipse.com/wolfeclipse/temporary/ZeroHelmNBG.png
It appears that there is something attached to the helmet that is embedded in the soil, and from what I know of reploid designs it looks like the upper left torso area where the shoulder and arm attach. This is the same scene highlighting a part that is laying close to and assume a bit further back from the helmet and other part.
http://www.wolfeclipse.com/wolfeclipse/temporary/ZeroHelmNBGArm.png
Again, citing what I know of reploid construction that would appear to be the entire left arm severed from the body at the shoulder. This would strongly suggest that Zero did not survive the crash.[/spoil:9ac13d05da] _________________
