It's a bit more than a mere port. If you're thinking along the lines of Super Mario All-Stars upgrades, it's much more than that. The gameplay is similar, but not identical, and quite a bit of things have been remixed, and that's just as X. Vile gives a whole new game, maps and enemy placement included. The difficulty levels add a bit to it as well.
This is like saying you don't want to see, I dunno, Peter Jackson's King Kong because you saw the original.
Ok, I haven't seen the new movie, for all I know it's a verbatim remake, though that's not what I've been lead to believe. Point remains.

I'm broke atm anyway, i'll pick it up eventually, I only have one game for my PSP. I'm waiting for the new Syphon Filter though, it looks seexxyy

Where you shopping from, LOL, try Best Buy or Gamestop, it's $30 new  it's very very much worth it, one of the best PSP games you'll ever play!

Hey i got this game when it came out and i beat it in 2 days.X mode is fun it's like the old school X.But now it's Vile mode and i'm teling you THIS MODE SUXS i mean come on if Vile gets hit one time thats haf his life but i ended the game and it's something added to it afer you end it on X mode and i think you guys would like it i know i did.

With Vile, it gets easier as you go along. Armor, speed, and more firepower choices than you can imagine. But it's also a matter of playing smart, rather than just taking everything head-on.

Ah, MHX, the game I want so much yet can't afford for the life of me due to the fact that I need a PSP...
If only I had this game. Ever since I've gotten addicted to the X series, X1 has turned into basically my favorite MegaMan game of all time. A shame I can't afford or even be able to play this game. But from what I've heard, it's so awesome...
Question, though, I was examining screen shots of the game. Are different weaponry required to beat the 8 mavericks and Sigma this time around? It seemed like in all the screen shots X was using the wrong weapon, like Electric Spark against Launch Octopus. |

Nah, they still have the same weakness, as they always did: it's just that in those screenshots they were just fooling around
