I joined the code breaker forum and they wouldn't help so I'm asking here when I enter codes FFX I can't go into boss fights or leave gazet cave my screen just goes black.

You more than likely entered the codes in wrong, a single mistake in a line can throw it all off. Go back and check it thoroughly.

Games are often rereleased with some minor bug fixes, without any indication whatsoever, and completely unannounced. They simply put the new ones into subsequent shipments in place of the old ones. And due to the different internal code, some (or most codes) patch codes won't work on one version or another.

try getting an opld version of te game (preferrably not Greatest Hits) then it should work...
