The Shotgun is my favorite close range gun
The Rocket Launcher is my favorite long range gun
The Energy Sword is my favorite close range weapon (drools)
These 3 guns are the most powerful guns in the game (Without much drawbacks...)
The worst is the Conveiant Carbine...or as me and my friends dub it the "Cuntvian Turdbine" and the Plasma Gun or as we call it "The Flashlight Gun"
Plus, Legendary mode is HARD (As it was on Halo: Combat Evolved) if you rush, you get smoked. |

Calling it "HARD" is somewhat of a downplay. More like "impossible" of even "Omega-holy-crap-I-just-crapped-myself-evilness" is more appropriate. Coincidentaly, the hardest level is the first level, which I have yet to beat on legendary. Favorite gun(s) for single player: Dual Brute Rifles
Multiplayer: Plasma rifle with Submachine gun (Take anyone down with that setup) Also, I change my setup to "Boxer" so grenades are easily accessed.

I will kick anyone's ass in this game. I'm best with the duel-wielding combo of a Plasma Pistol and a SMG, and the combo of Pistol and another Pistol. I play over Xbox Live, but I rarley get to play, (The Xbox is my uncle's and I play at his house, which I dont get to go to much, but he gets Live on the cheap 'cuz he works for Microsoft). I'm Rank 1 in everything except Team Skirmish, which I'm a Rank 5, and in Team Slayer, where I'm Rank 7. My clan's name is Untouchable War, and I forget what Rank we are, but we kick MAJOR ass.
And I'm willing to bet a good amount that we see Cheif's face in the final Halo game, which will be Halo 3, and as for the release date, Electronic Gaming Monthly confirms that it will come out the same day as the Playstation 3, as Microsoft's weapon to combat and decrease sales of Playstation 3.

If you can get the Flashlight Gun to charge up fast enough. By that time, someone should of smoked you with an explosive couplet or a vehicle. Besides, they totally nuked the power of the SMG in 2 (Although it was godly in NMP) Actually, they nuked the power of the Plasma Pistol too...so instead of shooting a continuous burst and its charge attack, it shoots 2 rounds (Not exactly sure, but it is shortened) with a charge.
Give me a Beam Rifle and I can kill someone from close range.
I don't have Xbox Live, so I usually play over XBConnect or XLink Kai. |

CARBINE??!!! SUCKS??!!! I should hurt you. The thing rocks in Multiplayer.
My favorite combo for duel wielding is the plasma pistol and the SMG, my favorite weapon EVER is the sniper. Cause it can kill anyone. I'm pretty good, so.... Plasma sword is... okay....

The Carbine takes about 10 hits to kill someone WITHOUT an overshield. If you get killed by that thing, you should feel truely dumb. |

4 head shots. The thing fires fast enough. IT'S NOT THE BEST. But it's not by far the worst. That award goes to the magnum. I know.. It kills people really fast if duel wielding.. but.. it's still like 18 shots.

FOUR shots though. A Magnum can kill a person in about 3 if you have a steady hand, plus it fires faster.
Besides, if I see a big green bullet flying towards my head, it will only take a few seconds to avoid the next 3, then see the smoky bullet trail it was leading to. With a sniper and beam rifle, you can fire continuously for four shots, but it takes 2 to kill them with a head shot and only 3 for a body hit. |

It's one for a head shot and 2 for a body shot. The problem with that is if you have to use more than 2 shots on one person, you should put the sniper away and use something you're good at. Don't snipe without the skills and a good sniping spot.
And, by the time I'd have those "4" shots off, you'd be dead. Good luck dodging.
I'm not meaning to offend anyone, but.. Every weapon is good in it's own way.
I could name off about 2 good reasons every weapon is better than any others. It's a BALANCED game.

The first bullet shot can easily be seen. If you duck and dive, take cover, the Carbine wont make it past 2 (If the person can successfully do so.)

Yeah, it is one, I must of been thinking with the Overshields on (Even though thats four...where did I get 2 from?)

It's a GOOD game, and a FUN game, but it certainly isn't balanced (Especially Halo 1, they fixed a few things in Halo 2, but it isn't really more "balanced". More like "They downgraded a few weapons, and upgraded a few more, then made the vechiles able to explode") |

I mean that the weapons are balanced. You can be good with any weapons you want. Not like Halo 1, where no one wants to touch the Assult Rifle in multiplayer. Pistol, Sniper, Pistol, Sniper...
Except for the Needler. Good while Duel-wielding, but doesn't require MUCH skill. But still good.
Waiting for someone to say "I'm good with the needler and have skills with it."

It was more like pistol, sniper, rocket launcher (Even though they made the launcher MUCH better in Halo 2)
The Needler takes about as much skill as flushing the toilet...if anyone says that "I OWNZ WIT DA NEEDLAAAAZ!!!" I will just laugh.... |

I'm incredibly in love with this game.
Most people here (most likely the fangirls and metrosexual fanboys) won't like Halo, due to the fact that it's Xbox's stronghold on the system.
But, I love Duel Magnums, Plasma Rifle + Magnum/SMG and when I'm skilled at that day.... Plasma Pistol, quickly switch the guns and shoot him in the head three times with the Battle Rifle.
My gamertag is: jarrod sux dix and I'm a level 24 in Rumble Pit. ^_^

I'm good at being a rocket whore, but I kinda suck with the sword, but I'd rather have the sword than any other weapon in the game... Sword/Shotgun for those people who think they can take down my sword-suckyness.
