One thing I love about this show is the amount of multiculture. while most of the main characters are Japanese, here some others to list:
Japanese:
Lan, Mayl, Chaud, Dex, Yai, Tori, Miyu, Sal, Higsby, Maysa, Dr. Hikari, Ribitta, Mr. Famous, Dave, Chisao, Tora, Tamako, Shuko, Tensuke, Nenji, Arashi, Dark, Dr. Wily, Inukai
French:
Ms. Mari, Yuri
American:
Raoul, Charlie, Maddy, Ms. Millions, Sunayama, Narcy
British:
Pride, Count Zap, Gauss, Tesla
Russian:
Raika, Iriya
Indian:
Anetta, Dingo, Yahoot
Korean:
Ran
Chinese:
Jasmine, Rei
I'd say that Match is from Scottland and Famous is from England, but I'm sure you'd all prefer I use the original intended nationalities, if thse are correct for said characters. Any I miss? |

Not here I love "Blister Me Bagpipe's". Mari And Yuri are French? I thought that it was just some family visit? _________________

Just a little note, Indian and Native American doesn't equal the same thing. Dingo is an equivalent of Native American procedence while Anetta is more of African heritage and Mahajarama is the only one with a clear 'Indian' Background -Indian as in... from the India- _________________ Hecha en MÉXICO - Avatar by Me.

I think he was assuming Mari and Yuri were French based on their pastry-shaped hair styles. O_o
Should the fact that the EXE worlds are not exactly the same as the real world be considered here? They're obviously based on real nationalities, but for the most part the only real nationality in the EXE universe is Japanese, and in the english version that becomes "Electopian".
Otherwise, it's simple enough to say Russia = Sharo, and Netfrica = Africa, but other nations are not so equivalent to our world. Amerope in particular, it's hard to determine if a Netopian is supposed to be American or European sometimes. Then there's the whole disparity between the games and anime in some places. In the anime you have Namaste while in the games you have Asina. And do we even know where Creamland is supposed to be yet?
Oh yeah, thank you Josuke for making me realize Ajina should be Asina. I recently learned the Japanese pronounce "Asia" with a "J", but I didn't realize that equivalence was the key to finding out what "Ajiina" was supposed to sound like. Right on. |

If I cared about the anime I'd have noted that Shisa Island is still in Japan BTW. _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

I'm using the game as reference, so I may be wrong, but I've always thought of Ameroupe as Europe, because in BN4 they fight in a colesseum, and it is known for it's historical heritage. That sounds an awful lot like Europe. And because Ran was in the Electopian (japanese) tournament, I think we can consider Shisaa to be part of Japan.
Kingland and Creamland confuse me. Because I always associated Knightman and princesses with England, but Kingland sounds like the actual version of England.
As for Mari and Yuri, they may look french, but Dex deosn't look Japanese, but apparantly he's from there. But isn't Dex part foreign? Now I'm confused...
I bet Nation X is America. You know how Dr. Hikari called it a "Military state"? Well, America is the most known for it's military. Unless they mean Germany...(Alluding to Wily's original accent. "Now I vill rule ze world!!!) _________________ Original name: blazequest |

Uh, Amerope is both America AND Europe, hence its hybrid name. Plus, Amerope is even in the place of North America on the EXE world map, which you should know since you played EXE4.
Speaking of which, I might as well post this again for some reference. I drew up a large world-map based on the shape indicated in EXE4. It contains a lot of made-up places since I mainly use it for reference in my fanfic projects.
Might as well take this oppurtunity to check. Does it mention that Jasmine is from Choina in EXE5? I want to make sure it's not another anime-exclusive country like Namaste before I add it in. |

I thought one of people in the Netopia Airport in EXE 2 kept mentioning Namaste at one point.(At least until the final scenario where you have to go to Kotobuki) |

I think Namaste might be the anime equivilant of Ajiina/Yumland, since both have a distinctly South Asian feel to them. _________________ Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you will be a mile away and have their shoes. |

The Netopians in BN2 were saying "Namaste" as a greeting, which is what the word actually is in real life.
Oh yeah, might as well clear up which places I made up in case anybody's confused: Oceopia, Canasia, Netropolis, Genjibo City, Arc City, and Mexique. Maybe you'd count South Netopia as well. South Netopia is mentioned in the games as the homeland of Jennifer (black chick in Castle scenario in BN2 and N1GP in BN3), but I dunno if that just meant the southern area of the North Netopia continent or the equivalent of our South America. I went with South America since that continent isn't named and it made enough sense.

Yes, Jasmine mentions she's from Choina in EXE 5
Namaste is a greeting, if any of you ever took yoga or know an Indian person(from India) you might have heard it.
Oh well
Amerope (Ameroppa) America + Europe(Japan pronounces Europe as "Yoroppa" like the moon of Jupiter)
Asina (Ajiina) Asia + China
Afric Africa
Sharo Japan's pronounciation of Russia backward "Rosha"
Creamland England/Scottland/Ireland and such(Why make it if Amerope already details America and Europe?)
Choina China, again, why make it if Asina already details China and Asia? _________________ Here's lookin' at you kid. |

Because they're weird. =P

If it's backwards, wouldn't it be "Ahsor?" =P _________________ ~スライダーちゃん~

Backwards using Katakana, you know that.
Thanks Josu, went ahead and updated the map. Though I'll likely have to edit it again when BN5 comes in with its own interpretation of Choina.
Note that I'm taking names like "Netopia" and "Asina" as continent names while I still have "Amerope" and "Yumland" as country names. That way I can use both Japanese and English version terminology and still be semi-consistent with the games. Raijin, you sly god. |
