Ok, so we all know of Barrel, correct? Colonel's Operator and what not. Well, I was looking at a Dash site and there's a character named Barrel. The old man with the steel on his face. .-.
I highly doubt they are the same character, I mean come on, they're two different ages for crying out loud...but could they be?

True, because Yaito is pretty similar in design, since those are the only 2 series that was shown. But, remember that Dash is about 3,000 years in the future. Of course, he coulda been cryogenically frozen, or something. Remember, it doesn't have to make sense

The Quiz Brat in Legends2 IS Yai, that's her name, so it obviously is a reference.
But the Legends series is not 3000 years in the future of the BN series. The BN series has completely separate continuity from the other MM games.

Barrel Caskett has TWO robotic eyes. I kinda doubt Barrel.exe is based on him anyway, they seem too different. I know they don't have to be identical, but there should at least be something linking them besides a name. |

Dash, EXE, and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 all have the same character designer, Shinsuke Komaki and Higurashi. Both love to make easter eggs, and have appeared in EXE (Higurashi = Higure) and Komaki's online avatar is a dog that looks like Gau(Who Netto was going to have in EXE 1, but was canned, that's why the dog house has been there with no dog for so long, because noone redesigned Netto's house after the puppy was put down.)
As for Barrel, other than the wild hair, and the possibility of having only one eye, there aren't much resemblances. It's even been theorized that he's related to Wily
Rush(the virus) was going to be originally 40 Kobuns(And Data) who'd pop out of holes randomly with 1 HP each, but Rush became the Yukashita/Pop-up Virus instead.
Shuuko and her brothers are ported from Dash like Glide and Yaito
And several others I don't feel like talkin' bout

Impressive. I hope EXE6 will get more X serie material. Colonel.exe is for sure a remarquable Navi. As X apparition i would like to see Dynamo.

Just stating the possiblity of Barrel having a monocle like Wily and Regal, I think we'll see more of him in EXE 6

Well, that mystery is solved now. The concept art Capcom just posted shows Barrel has two normal human eyes. |

Off center? The eyes look pretty balanced to me. Your eyes may be playing tricks on you due to the hair in the way and the way the right eye is just half-drawn.
About Charlie's concept art though. Him hitting on Mayl is just plain wrong. I sincerely hope that's supposed to be Mayl's mom or something. |
