I just absolutely LOVE DDR... Probably the most brilliant simple game that came out, excluding Tetris of course. XD (ish a tetris nerd)
Right now, I finally AAed Maxx Unlimited and I was soooo happy I got kicked out of the arcade in Mississippi. ;_;
In PIU, I passed Dignity on Crazy. Yay.
Anyways, I've got lots of Rockman DDR stepfiles, and if anyone's interested, I can send them to you.
Is anyone else here a DDR or PIU fan? DDR playas unite! _________________ I suck! |

Hey, man, I'm with you.
My favorite songs are B4U, Insertion, and a lot of others... I don't really remember unless I'm playing.
I've been playing for three years, and I JUST moved onto standard. I can't even do half the songs on it, too!
You guys arcade DDR players or do you have it for a system? _________________

Well...DDR is somewhat of a phenomenon over at the university I attend. A few days each month is devoted to it in the commuter lounge. I always stop by, but I never get around to playing it for myself. I lack so much coordination that I would easily trip over my feet if I attempted to play. Sigh. _________________ Today, these three players are after Big Bucks! But they'll have to avoid the Whammy, as they play the most exciting game of their lives! From Television City in Hollywood! We USED to have a machine, but now we only have Solo 2000. *cries* That's how I ended up with PIU later on.
Have you been playing often, or have you been going off and on?

Aw.. *cry cry* LOL, kidding. Don't worry about it, you know, just keep on doing the easy songs, and your brain will take over and let you learn how to place your feet. _________________ I suck! |

I am a DDR freak, athough I am not that good at it. My friends think I'm great at it though, I rarely get anything below a B on the songs I do.. And I trick some too(more now than usual, depending on what mix), so they just sit there and stare... Kinda gets me nervous, though, especially when playing in arcades.. People come up and stare and I get extremely uneasy.. But I guess it's because you usually don't see that many girls here play it without being on beginner mode.. ^^;
Never tried the other, though.. I like to stick with the familiar stuff. Now I just need to get Ultramix 2 and an Xbox pad, and I'll have the US mix collection done. :D _________________

Agreed.
I, in my own opinion, think that Pump it Up has a much better music selection (though I believe NAOKI pwns Banya), freestyling is MUCH easier on PIU (corners and center is much better than traditional directions) and tough song selection is better in PIU.
However, Oni Courses in DDR are much harder than just PIU songs, by itself. I've AAed all DDR songs on foot at arcade except for The Legend of Maxx and I can just barely pass Dignity on Crazy.
Tough PIU songs:
(I don't have Exceed 2, so I don't know all the hard songs)
Dignity on Crazy (800 notes in 1:40)
Slam on Crazy
Get this party started on Crazy
Canon D (10 foot freeze at one time)
Tough DDR songs:
Max 300
Maxx Unlimited
The Legend of Maxx
Sakura

Anyway, I love both DDR and PIU! Heck, I love any dance game! I'm not that updated to DDR, the last one I played was DDR5. As for PIU, I was just introduced to it weeks ago. I'd say I prefer PIU.
Rockman DDR stepfiles? Are they songs? If so, send me one as a sample :] . Please and thank you!
While I'm at it, do you have PIU songs as well? I'm looking for one, but I just can't find it.

DDR, eh? I'm not too bad at DDR. I started playing in the arcades back around the summer of '00, and I got a home version and a RO Ignition pad around christmas time. I play nearly every day, and recently I made the progress jump from standard to heavy. I can do all 7 footers and some 8 footers, but I can do heavy INSERTiON, which is pretty crazy, IMO. My best record on heavy is a B I got from suddening Dark Black Forest. As for playing in the arcades, I dont go to arcades much but when I do, I play DDR, and that's about it. As for songs, I like all the songs, and I'm not too sure I have a fave...But, Rythm and Police is a really, really good song... _________________

Yep. Com' Back is the name of the song, the one with the endless twirls in the song. @_@
Have you ever played "A" by BMR's stepfiles? They were INSANE, and were EXTREMELY fast. @_@
And, you and me are alike, I like to just park my fat-ass right on that last note on Era, LOL
Well, if you keep practicing daily, you'll get alot better.

Well, it's all about practice. Believe it or not, DDR could be considered a sport. ^_^
Rhythm and Police is an awesome song, IMO. The heavy steps are pretty easy for a 9 foot song.

Stepmania is a very crappy emulation of Pump It Up and DDR... But, it's the closest thing we've got, so I'm happy with it. ^_^
Can you pass the Maxx's then? XD _________________ I suck! |

At 1st I roaly sucked at DDR. But after a long while I tryed again when a friend was with me (Figured if there was someone who sucked with me I wouldn't be as embarresed) But I actly got a lot better than the last time. Though it was still not great. I got 2 D's and a C when me and my friend were playing. She kept geting E's ^^; anyhoo now I want to go back and try again. Though I couldn't play after 3 rounds because I got exusted. |

I honestly can't tell right off the bat. What I'm thinking is that either...
Shanghai Noon:
1. Crash!
2. Daokisune
Ghost Song:
1. Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix~
2. Ghosts
3. Some weird ass BeForYou song.

Purple Japanese Ghost Girl...
You're talking about Sakura. ^_^;
Anyways, as I said in the topic I posted a while ago, I adore DDR and it's clone, In the Groove. Pump it Up, not so much, but it's fun nonetheless.
Favorite songs of mine:
1. Break Down!-BeForU
2. Mahou no Tobira-a.s.a.
3. Sakura-RevenG
4. B4U Glorious Style-Naoki
5. Midnite Blaze-U1 Jewel Style
My highlights include passing Max 300 and finding a copy of the official 5th mix soundtrack for 10 bucks. _________________
