Navi fan character goodnesses - Rescue and Silk sketches

I'm sure several of you remember her. Kindly navi, falls in love with Forte and calls him her "Dark Soul," Boss navi entry for EXE 5, lost miserably. Bwah, I shouldn't have colored her, those colors are too dark. I also shaded in all the wrong places (I forgotten which part I decided for it to be light and which part to be shaded while I colored this, because I'm wierd). Meh. Oh well. >_>

A new navi character. Since I made Forte a female companion, I went ahead to make Searchman one too. So here's Rescue (Searchman and Rescue. Ahahahahaha..... *cough*). She specializes in finding missing navis and reuniting them with their operators. If the navis are injured, she will heal them, but not fully. Only enough that the navis can run out of a dangerous situation or something like that. She also trains viruses to find navis. Her color scheme makes her look like she is an RMZ character, but I don't really care. I'm kinda proud of this one.

As it says, an inked pic of my neko navi character, Sharp. I got lazy to color. He's a spiky kitty who dislikes cuddling (and when someone does, prepare to get poked =P) and has a twin sister named Flat, who's deleted, so he keeps what's left of her tail ribbon on his tail. He is a strong navi despite the cuteness and small size. =P

I really like Rescue, although she reminds me of Rikku for some reason. Could I take a stab at spriting her? ^^;

Your scans comes out so good and clean. My scan always look dark and chopy. If you have any trick to get that clean scan, teach me.

Anyway, as said before, Good and Clean! Neko is my favorite, she stands out from the rest. Also, I like how you have a story behind all of them. You really put thought behind your art. Good job!!! :D

I like Rescue's design. And you did an excellent job on the coloring, too. I don't see nothing wrong with this pic. All the shading are in the right place. Can't wait to see more. =3

I saw a lot of your other works on REO, and I really like the way you give even the male characters an aura of passive cuteness. I especially like how you draw the eyes...every character looks so cute and full of kawaii innocence. Keep up the awesome work, Suraida-chan!

Grr, I wish SA would come back. Yes, there are scanner smudges, but I'll get this picture cleaned up soon as finals are over. =P I'm actually sending 2 entries to the Boss Navi contest this year. I'm aware of those recommendations, that you have higher chances for sending a somethingman.EXE, but I really don't care. Besides, EXE needs more girls, perhaps (though I doubt it) they'll be inspired if they look at girl entries. =P

Unintentionally, the pose looks a tad similar to one of the operators in RMZ2, but I think it's because I added the little green touch screen. Originally, she was supposed to be petting her garuu, but it didn't come out right, so I put the touch screen thingie. XP Hands look a tad big. CLAMP's Tsubasa influence. X3 But at least they are nice looking hands. =P *loves this picture so much. Needs to work on the Dolce entry*

Heehee...just thought of something...if the series does get more girls and your characters get accepted, it'd be funny if, to get even MORE girls, they got together and had DAUGHTERS!

Only problem would be the names.

Forte mates with Dolce to get...FORCE

Rescue mates with Search Man to get...RESEARCH

Actually I already drew a little Forte/Dolce baby navi sketch (which is in SA, but it's down, so I can't show you right now). XD I named her Beta. There's a story about why she's named so, and it's not because of Alpha (originally named Proto).

Hmm, those are some nice names, though. Maybe I should give Beta the name Force instead of Beta. XD

Though, when thinking about it...the Rescue sketch I remember from SA did look different than this one... :] Did you change the design?
If so, I think you should keep the old design for something also...I thought that it looked real good! ^^
