Jak X: Combat Racing *new Jak and Daxter game*

Well, if you're stump, this game is the next installment in the Jak and Daxter series (besides that game featuring Daxter for the PSP, but that's beside the point. >>), set roughly a year after Jak 3.

From what I've read, it seems fairly interesting. With the special color-coded Eco as power-ups (green Eco for health, blue Eco for Turbo, yellow Eco for randomly-selected front weapons, red Eco for rear weapons, and dark Eco for powering up your weapons) and the usual high-quality cutscreens in single player mode, this is going to add a new twist to th racing genre. Sadly no mentioning of Jak's Light and Dark Eco powers, though. T-T

Well, this is just like the old days...

Back in the day, PS1 was ruled by Crash Bandicoot (Naughty Dog creation) and Spyro the Dragon (Insomniac creation). They each created three games, and Naughty Dog pulls one spinoff of their game in a racing game. After this, the franchise was abandoned. Insomniac sold the rights to Universal, who immediately had other companies botch up the games...

With the PS2 out, they've done it again. They have Jak & Daxter (Naughty Dog creation) and Ratchet & Clank (Insomniac creation). They've each come out with three games. However, on a different tangent, they're coming out with a fourth game. I don't think that Jak X or Ratchet: Deadlocked (R&C4, in a sense) will carry the same semblance of gaming we've seen in the first three.

I never heard of R&C: Deadlocked. Is it a racing game and the newest installment to the R&C series?

Anyway, the basic idea of it is that Ratchet is alone (suggesting the idea of Clank not being in the name of the game) for some time. A reality TV show (how original :stonecube: ) is enlisting Ratchet to play in their game, where he runs around to various planets and does missions. It suggests a more Halo-esque play ideal, but you can find more data here:

From the looks of it, it sounds like Ratchet entering a huge MegaCorp-like TV show.
